Here is a sort of movie poster style art thing I made as a present for my friends as a thanks for playing in the DnD campaign I DMed and completed today. Super glad they all liked it and if any of my players see this and would like to be tagged just lemme know.

let me just explain what my party chose to do during d&d tonight.

my tiefling player is engaging in sexual activity with a minotaur, and i promise that’s not the craziest part of the session.

the remaining four decide they’re going to go ghost hunting in the city they’re in. it’s rumored to be haunted, but someone who lives in the city just told them it wasn’t. still, they decide to go ghost hunting. why not, right? when in rome.

truth is, i had no encounter planned for them. i didn’t expect them to wonder through a mostly residential & empty city looking for something to do. my fault. so i had one of them roll on an encounter table i found online. they got a 41 — they see a boy running through the streets. he’s late to deliver a letter. he hopes he doesn’t get reprimanded.

they decide this boy looks suspicious. so they follow him. barely pass their stealth check, and only pass because the druid quickly wildshaped into a cat before the boy turned around. they follow him to a house where he knocks on the door and delivers the letter.

in my mind, that’s really all that happens. nope! my party then tries to look for some kind of hole in the home, and roll well enough to find one. so she spies on the person inside reading the letter. then the druid cat sneaks into the fucking house. the woman inside puts on a jacket and leaves. druid transforms back into a dwarf, takes the letter, and the shifter breaks into a full on sprint trying to chase the woman, but rolls poorly on investigation and loses her.

why did they chase the woman, you ask? because she might’ve been suspicious.

they get back together and decide to read the letter, but they can’t because it’s in orc — a language none of them speak. so they go back to the bar and wait for the tiefling to wake up in the morning. she casts comprehend languages and reads the letter.

the only thing i can come up with? a member of the woman’s family was in labor and they wanted to let her know so she could come see the child’s birth.

my party broke into a stranger home, stole from her, and stalked her for no reason.

what a great session.

watching Xenk pass the harpers book to edgin and holding his hands to edgin's as he does so for much longer than necessary and then later telling edgin he may take his hand in the dungeon and then also offering his hand to edgin twice to either help him up or as a handshake and edgin accepting... like Xenk honey I see you I know what you're about. Hands are important to you 👀

As someone who's tanked, healed, and DPS'd, this scene in the latest Delicious in Dungeon episode is relatable on so many fronts. Spoilers for S01E08: Raspberries/Grilled Meat:

Admittedly when I was tanking it was usually me wrangling the other party members and yelling at the DPS to not be dicks to the heals, but still. There's something so very cute about this alkjdlaj poke the tin can alkdjlaj get him up and moving. He's fully healed now, he has no excuse. Yes, his armor is heavy, but it is time to move.

Me, a grumpy tank who just handled a boss the size of a house: I move when I want.

Also did I imagine it or was there a massive style switch for like at least 1/3 of this episode, particularly the fight sequence? It looked a lot more similar to Little Witch Academia than Dungeon Meshi. Not criticizing it or anything, the animation looked solid (Trigger is very good at fight animation), it was just kind of strange.

im. so tired rn. i wanted to write out my comparison between scave/ngers rei/gn and dun/geon me/shi but it kinda just keeps coming down to dun/geon me/shi having no depth, feeling like it treats the reader like a child and everyone praises it for absent lesbianisms(look. i LOVE the resurrection scene and the bath scene. but its not enough. theyre still treated like "long-term bestieess >_<!! do NOT get in the way of a LONG TERM GIRL FRIENDSHIP" throughout EVERYTHING. am i the only one who finds it a little frustrating, i love the fans for playing yuri with it but. i feel like its the early 2000s all over again)

while scave/ngers rei/gn seems to actually respect the watchers and is willing to tackle concepts without looking at the camera and saying "we did it. this story is about X" and literally failing to do what they just claimed. scave/ngers rei/gn is willing to depict death. as a constant. as a thing that actively happens. at all. to the main cast. and the TWO masc women!!!! THE LESBIAN MAKEOUT SESSION?? THE WOMEN ARE ACTUALLY GAY HI ARE YOU LISTENING.
