You’re propped up against the pillows on his bed, listening quietly as Mark strums his guitar, seated on the edge of the mattress.

“Marky,” you call out, and he looks up at you, doe eyes sparkling. “Will you teach me how to play someday maybe?”

His face lights up as he clutches onto his guitar eagerly. “Wait, you mean it? You want me to teach you?”

“Of course, I mean it.” You smile at him, positively endeared at how excited your boyfriend is.

“Like right now? How about now?” He’s bouncing in his spot slightly, and you giggle, moving over to sit next to him. “Now sounds perfect.”

He hands you his guitar before wrapping his hand around yours, placing your hand on the strings. “Okay, so you put your fingers here for the E major. Try how it sounds.”

You strum the instrument and are absolutely delighted when the pretty sound is heard. Beaming, you look up at him. “Like that?”

He grins at you, squeezing your hand gently. “Exactly like that, babe. Good job.”

Book rec: Brave New World by Aldous Huxley! dystopian genre; the worldbuilding that the author does is craaaazy detailed even with caste systems and I love it so so much // summary: a world in which "everyone is a valued member of society", even post-mortem! and no one is ever "lonely" // the common theme is commodification (objectification of people) // I loved the near-psychotic (not scary, just brainwashing) way of living of the whole thing. if you read it, enjoy! 😊

Remember that Cat owes us nothing, yet she writes these stories for us !! We get fics like sweeter than honey and the dumbing down of love, and you'll probably know if you've read them that they're so incredible, we DEFINITELY don't deserve to be getting this good content for free... like, what?? Crazy how some people are so generous like that !!! But do you think sending angry asks will inspire her to write more? No!

But now that Cat's working full-time, she needs to focus on that more because she's making real money, she's meeting up with her friends in person, and she's living her best life with her pet cat !!! omg hi, april !!! 🌷 YES, absolutely omg my friends and I love to hit every good restaurant we see, like whenever I went to LA and NYC with my friends, the only thing we plan is which food places we want to hit for each meal time LMAO and we usually went out once a day together for either brunch, lunch, and dinner because we got tired of the dining hall food too rip 🤧 and we tried to hit a different restaurant each weekend when we had more time to drive out to farther places outside of campus 💞
