Do y'all remember Aromatix? I didn't until someone favorited the og piece from 2019 on dA! and that was enough for me to want to revisit it but on the AU bases this time - and also add Roxy, Dia and Daphne to the mix! There's not much to this form - I structured it to be like the comic forms, so it's more gimmicky than anything else, see also: the same wings for everyone. Aromatix is the form of scents, and so they're all based after that! more below: (big thanks to both @emsartwork and @lunar-draws, which helped me brainstorm the three newcomers to this form!)

Bloom keeps her og scent of dragon's blood, the sap from the dragon tree that looks like blood when cut. It gives off a sweet but strong smell, and I felt that fit Bloom pretty well beyond the dragon associations.

Originally just generic spring, Flora has now the more specific cherry blossom scent, mainly because I wanted to work with pastels and plus they do fit Flora's vibe.

Tecna keeps coffee as her scent, because look at me in the eyes and tell me she does not run exclusively on the substance.

Stella also kept her citrus scent, because citrus, much like her, can go wildly between charming and pleasant to downright annoying lol.

Musa also keeps her berries, still mainly focused on blue and black berries, if only because fruitier scents just seem to fit her!

Originally mint, Aisha now has sea salt as her smell! It carries the same feeling of refreshing and invigorating, plus she's water, so it seemed fitting.

Diaspro comes in with the scent of honey rock candy! discussing it with Ems and Lunar helped narrow this down since both sugar and honey tend to crystallize, fitting her powers, plus I can see Dia going for sweet and strong smells on the regular to assert her dominance lol.

Fellow newcomer Daphne takes Aisha's original mint, for similar reasons as her but also because mint is also associated with nymphs and I felt it fitting lol.

Lastly, Roxy comes in with a pistachio scent! because nuts in general seemed fitting for her and because it adds a different tone compared to the rest.

So, in the process of trying to get my partner into one of my childhood favorites, Winx Club, the brain gremlins took hold of me and I am now in the process of creating a rewrite. Not the entirety of canon, but definitely the first three seasons and throwing in some extra stuff from other seasons that I really enjoyed as well as some of my own personal flair.

That being said, a rewrite obviously has to come with redesigns and I have literally just finished up everyone's first transformation

Layla, or Aisha, is up first! I did really enjoy her original design (honestly, they're all wonderful) but it just wasn't going to work for my AU. Considering she's from a planet that is dominated by water, as well as being related to actual mermaids, I absolutely had to add in more mermaid traits. So we have wings that look and act similar to dorsal fins in the water which makes her an exceptionally fast swimmer, almost on par with her cousins. Then, of course, I had to include shells in there. The shells that function as her heels are angel wing shells and a horn snail shell.

Musa, oh Musa. Her original was lovely but it just didn't have enough punk inspiration. Luckily I was more than happy to provide a little in the form of shorts and a half skirt on top of wonderful boots with buckles. I did keep the sheer centerpiece though because I really wanted to pay some respect to the original. Also, and this is just my personal opinion, space buns are superior. My shining glory of this design has to be the wings, though. The bass clefs are wonderful but to top it all off I had to add the CD shine. It was a necessity. Also, if you haven't noticed the fact that her arm accessories mirror Layla/Aisha's, now is the time to notice. SoundWave will be a thing in this AU.

Flora needed more green! She deserves a little green considering she's a nature fairy and how else would I incorporate it other than vines? Especially considering she uses vine attacks all the time! Also that rose inspired skirt was a pain to do but so worth it. If anyone deserves a rose skirt, it's Flora.

While I do love Tecna, her original always felt like it was missing something so, after some scrolling through sci-fi stuff, I added the cropped jacket to it and more green for her as well. The ear piece actually extends into a helmet with a retractable visor, I'll probably post another image with it on full display another time.

Another thing to add is that there is a criminal shortage of Flora x Tecna content to the point that I haven't even seen a fun little ship name for them. So, I'll just be using BioTech.

Getting right into Stella's redesign, starting with the wings! I did like her original wings but with her being the fairy of the sun I kind of just spread them out similar to the way rays of light look. As for her outfit, I really wanted to add onto the ethereal kind of look with gorgeous drapery similar to what you see in depictions of goddesses but with a modern twist! Hence the underbust and other additions.

Bloom but much more draconian. As she deserved considering she's the keeper of the dragon fire. Dragon wings. Dragon scales. Need I say more? Yes, actually. Her boots are more armor like, which was fun but not the best part. The silver chains, the necklace, the gemstones. They're made to be a mirror to Stella's because SolarFlare is absolutely iconic. They deserve each other so much and it is my mission to highlight this fact.

I have so much planned for this AU. So many ideas that I've already noted down and places I want to go with this, I can't wait to get started.

And I literally just realized that this AU needs an actual name, so I'm going to go with Psyche. The reasons why will become clear later. 💜

Tecna: Nonbinary Flag cape, Aro and Ace belt clips, Transfeminine pin, and Autism pin

Tecna doesn't really care about figuring out what her exact gender is because that doesn't affect the happiness she experiences in her life so she uses the macro label of Nonbinary and Transfeminine, and was very happy simply socially transitioning to being more feminine

She uses She/He/They pronouns, and doesn't actually care which one people use for her. Since magic is a very female dominant field and because she's transfeminine most people just assume she only uses she/her and she honestly doesn't care enough to correct them

She experiences no type of attraction, but isn't repulsed. She's completely neutral but is very much interested in not participating

She's very autistic. She experiences shut downs, takes things very literally, is like aggressive sincere bc not doing that never occurred to her, can't read others emotions to save her life—people on Zenith usually keep to themselves and have a extremely straightforward culture that very autism friendly so Tecna never noticed she was different until she left

Aisha: Lesbian Flag, Demi aro ace pin, and that's the Pride flag in her bag

Aisha is exclusively attracted to women and only experiences attraction after knowing someone well. Additionally, Demi people have different amounts of time for when they feel attraction and for Aisha they have to be at the very least good friends before any attraction can develop

Musa: Bisexual jacket

Musa is bisexual with a preference for men. She figured out she was bisexual after watching the world's shittest romance movie and wished she was dating both of them. She is the most disastrous of bisexuals. Shes never had a crush on a normal person, that or it's another straight girl. Someone pray for her

Bloom: Omni Flag cape, and Autism pin

Had a friend describe Omni as being between Pan and Bi, where gender plays a role but not as big and it really fitt the way I see Bloom so here. Bloom experiences attraction differently based on gender but has no preference, so she's Omni. I genuinely think Bloom would like and use micro labels, she just comes off to me as a "I need to find the perfect word to decide my experience" girlie

Bloom's autism is all in the sensitivity, being easily overwhelmed and wanting to process in a safe place, complete lack of understanding of danger, and huge special interest baybeee. Also her complete inability to express empathy without filtering it though her own life experience but eventually she figures out how to just express empathy and sympathy without doing that XD

Stella: Pan dress, ADHD purse, and three different Polyamorous pins

Stella is pan "because I can't deny any gender a shot" - Stella of Solaria

That's a real quote. She told me herself. Yeah but she's pan and thinks everyone is hot. Shes our Combined type ADHD queen. Bow down. The last question I ask about those couples that I mentioned before in another question, do you have any headcanon?

As for Flora turning evil, I would like to see more fan content featuring the Winx as villains. Some could be interesting villains.

Sky x Icy - They think of each other badly at the start, but are also instantly attracted. Sky loves Icy's eyes and vice versa. He is intimidated by her even after they go on their first date. Icy dominates this relationship, which at first makes Sky nervous, but then he embraces it. He becomes malewife to Icy's girlboss. Nobody believed at first that they are dating. Erendor wanted them to break up and almost got a heart attack after he heard about them. But Sky doesn't want to leave Icy and also would be scared to do so.

Anagan x Flora - Anagan loves Earth and would show Flora all of his favourite places. Especially parks or gardens. They love teasing each other, which Stella thinks is sickingly sweet. I think that they would have a huge family. Others noticed that Flora becomes far more snarky when near Anagan and think that it's good for her after her forcing herself to be nice 24h.

Riven x Flora - they get together before s2 and girls would be worried that Riven will break Flora's heart, but I see them rarely fighting. Though some bottle up feelings may occur. They don't share hobbies, but they are very supportive of each other. Riven may not get poetry but he will read each of Flora's poems and ramble about them. Flora is interested in every weapon that Riven shows her. She tried to get him into gardening and now Riven has bonsai tree that he tries to take care of (Timmy helps with it, because he thinks that this whole situation is cute). Riven would confess first, but Flora would be the first to say I love you. I see Flora fantasizing about the wedding, but she is patient. Everyone would help Riven with proposal (even Musa).

Riven: Excuse me, she asked for no pickles.

Diaspro x Bloom - They would rock as royal couple. Nobody would dare to disrespect one of them, because they are both very protective of the other. Bloom calls Diaspro her princess and later queen. Diaspro sticks to 'my dear'. She is Bloom's impulse control and had to teach her more about royal etiquette, while Bloom introduced her to mundane things like pizza or movies. Her first date was going to romantic comedy and while Diaspro find movie to be a bit boring she remembers the event very fondly. Kiko considers Diaspro to be his second mom, but at first he was weary of her. Mike and Vanessa loved Diaspro from the start, but they were worried about girls future due to royal bussiness. Everything turns out fine after Diaspro deals with her strict parents. They would be the couple that wants to propose at the same time and later tease each other over who proposed to who.

Epic of the Godsent

AD 1325, Europe & Asia. The Roman Empire has reached its greatest extent, spanning three continents and seeing several decades of peace and prosperity. The Nordic Empire, controlling the harsh tundra lands to the north and northeast, has also seen a long period of peace and prosperity, and has begun traveling outside of the known world in search of new lands. Egypt, able to stand on its own as its own world power controlling most of northern Africa, dominates the global market, with Mansa Musa controlling nearly all of the Eurasian trade and economy in sheer gold volume, able to purchase the world ten times over if he so wished it. The Chinese and Japanese empires, constantly at war, continue to separate themselves from the rest of the Western world, but continuously push boundaries with other empires when not at each others' throats. And the Greek empire, small but mighty, has begun to seek their own foothold on the world stage as well. What caused this diversion in history, where things we once viewed as ancient history dragged on over a thousand years? The introduction of magic into the world, in AD 125, when a meteor crashed into the Earth, in the western North Atlantic Ocean. When magic was suddenly introduced into the world, differentiation in the human race began to form, creating elves, dwarves, gnomes, and other beings once considered fantasy. Eggs of a new creature began to appear, and from those eggs hatched lizard-like creatures that grew to gargantuan sizes; they would come to be known as dragons, and those few souls brave enough to dare to tame one would be known as Dragonlords. The gods that people across the Western world worshipped, those that were thought to be stories and myths told to teach valuable life lessons, began to walk the Earth and be as real as the holy ground they walked upon. You, dear traveler, have the makings of something special. You hear a distant call to adventure in the dead of night, you feel the pull of something far greater than yourself in your blood. You may not know it yet, but you are the direct product of a god, called forth by destiny to fulfill your purpose. Darcy and Riven – their story and why I ship them

In January 2023 I found my way back into the Winx fandom - more precisely, I created this Tumblr on January 28th, 2023 and since then I have been constantly passionate about this show from my childhood. Most of all, of course, for our three favorite witches. Accordingly, this year I have given a lot of thought and HCs to the Trix and their relationships. Today is the day that I'm going to write down all of these HCs and thoughts I have and tag them properly so that they're easier to find in my jumble of posts, reblogs and crazy fangirling. Well, have fun!

I got my first anon ask about Driven headcanons (hcs most of the time now) in march and therefore tried to order my thoughts on this topic as well. It actually became something of a definition of their relationship and how I see them in the show: This is how my bullet journal looks:

Riven is pretty badass. That's why Rivusa doesn't make much sense because ego-wise he would have gone after best-girl-Bloom. Or Princess Stella, but more Bloom, simply because Brandon (Sky) obviously found Bloom interesting.

Then there is Darcy. Not only is she the complete opposite of the loud, glittering fairy gang, but she also forms a stark contrast to Riven. She is powerful, yes, but above all she is calm, goal-oriented and come on in 1x8 we see how cute she is. Of course, Riven likes her power-talk in 1x9 but he surely is keen on her because she is a totally different type of girl than Musa or Stella.

Oh, and an important thing that just came to my mind while supervising what I wrote and putting it into a post: DARCY DID NOT MIND-CONTROL HIM IN CANON!

Her glowing eyes meant that she formed the connection with Riven, so that he could contact her mentally later on in the show!

It's fkn 4kids who came up with the mind control because they tend to downplay everything for all American kids' sake. - Ok back to the post:

In terms of type, if comparted to the fairies, Darcy is mostly like Flora, but in contrast to the nature fairy, she has a much more self-confident demeanor. She is also the first to respond to Riven as a person and his needs (power, being recognized). Then of course there is the matter of rescue. Firstly: Thanks for saving my life and secondly: The woman can ride this flying motorcycle like a guy. Where can you find something like that? And unlike the Winx, who are constantly in trouble, Darcy (and her sisters) is beyond competent (in Season 1 after all, we know how the writing goes down, *sigh*). So, we have Darcy: a beautiful, competent badass BB who just saved his life and looks like an angel that fell from heaven - all in the specialist uniform too - sexyyy. So, it's an extremely attractive girl who also knows guy things and cares about him and really sees and perceives him as a person. She's not a self-centered good-time girl who makes him clean, so she doesn't have to endure her punishment alone (looking at you, Winx....)

But who exactly is Darcy? (she's my girl, my bb, my queen) Out of the Trix, she is probably the one who is least behind the world domination plans. Of course, she is still a member of the Trix - and of course not less power-hungry than her sisters. But she would be the one most likely to give up everything to live a quiet but fulfilling life with the person she loves. Isn't she? She is definitely the first to panic and to make mistakes as a result. We remember episode 1x5, where she immediately panicked when everything didn't work out as planned. She thought she would find Stella's ring in no time, that wasn't the case. Instead of keeping a cool head like Icy would have, she freaks out and starts attacking Bloom. Is it fear because she is running out of time and doesn't know what to do if her disguise is exposed? In any case, Darcy would have been expected to wear a more confident disguise. But in the end, she's the one most likely to panic and this episode shows that perfectly. Maybe that's also the reason why she has clever ideas, but often doesn't think them through. In episode 2x10 she tries to get Icy to put the feather in the scales, fearing that she might have made a mistake and get wiped just like Stormy, who had previously hit the scales with brute force. Icy states very correctly: You’re a backstabbing coward, Darcy. And I love you for that. And with that she the nail right on the head. Darcy is certainly the first of the Trix to get nervous. She certainly has a tendency to overthink, whereas Riven strikes first and thinks later (at best).

Mind control is her specialty. She knows how to get into the minds of her victims to confuse and weaken them. At the same time, she also knows how uncertain and dangerous feelings can be. When it comes to having deep feelings for someone else, she is more likely to be the one who is insecure and cautious. Precisely because feelings are so uncertain, she probably tries to make decisions with her head rather than with her guts.

Their love story is iconic and cute. Basically, we have good girl and bad boy, but the good girl is one of the bad guys and the bad boy is ultimately one of the good guys. They haven't really fought against each other yet. Riven only knows that Darcy is one of the most powerful witches in Cloud Tower and that she and her sisters hate the Winx. Since Riven is skeptical of the Winx himself and has no deeper connection to them, he has little to do with this antipathy from both sides and perhaps only hears about it in passing from Brandon or Sky. So in 1x7 he doesn't pay much attention to the Trix. The fact that he turns on the light and exposes the Trix is once again Riven being Riven. He wants to be the cool dude and doesn't really care about the situation. He simply has no interest in the Winx's affairs and is only pissed when he becomes personally involved with Musa being thrown into his arms by the minotaur. Maybe that’s where his inner hero speaks? But first and foremost, he wants to praise himself. The first time he really notices Darcy is in 1x8, where she represents to him the complete opposite of the fairies, one of which had just shown him up (Bloom).

Darcy, on the other hand, is already interested in Riven in 1x7 and hides the whole thing behind the talk about the Prince of Darkness (seriously, WHO is the Prince of Darkness? Why is that never clarified?). One episode later, she's extremely worried that something might happen to Riven with Icy's, admittedly delicate, plan. bb obviously already has a crush on him. And no one can claim that Icy doesn't know this and is actively using it for her plan. I think that Darcy's feelings didn't matter to her at all, thinking she'd get over it sooner or later. But the fact is, even Icy sees the spark fly between them.

So you could say it was love at first sight for both of them. It is also important for Riven that after all the disappointments and constant criticism he was exposed to at Red Fountain, someone finally recognizes him and his talents. While the Winx, especially Stella, just complained about him, Darcy supported what he was. Partly because she can take advantage of his ambitions, of course, and partly because she simply likes him. I think there are some things Darcy does simply for herself and not because it's part of the plan to rule the Magic Dimension.

From Riven's point of view, what probably also speaks for Darcy is her maturity. She's not a little fairy to save. The opposite is the case. She is probably more experienced in other things too - but that always depends on the respective HC. Darcy can be a bad bitch and cute bb - both are accurate. For me though, she gives more bb vibes than bitch vibes. However, she appears much more mature and confident than the fairies. Speaking of bb (she's one, look at her!) -

she's the type most likely to develop romantic feelings. Icy is too calculating and Stormy is just there for the passion (if you get what I mean). In 2x2 we have this scene "*sigh* To be young and in love...".

She's also the one of the Trix most likely to feel something resembling remorse, if only for her time with Riven. On the other hand, in season 2 we have Riven, who immediately sees through Darcy's attacks - because he knows them. Very well. There is probably still a connection between the two. There could have been more hints about their relationship besides “cute” and “not cute”. There could have been one or two longing looks. I FELL ROBBED.

That’s basically how I interpret their story and why I ship them. I’ll come up with some headcanons these days as well. Stay tuned :3

This is a cavalryman from the medieval empire of Mali that dominated West Africa between 1230 and 1672 AD. Mali was one of a number of equestrian empires and kingdoms that developed in Africa’s northern savanna belt, although the tsetse flies which swarmed the continent’s equatorial regions prevented the spread of horses further south.

Finding accurate, contemporary depictions of Malian cavalry was not easy, so a lot of guesswork went into this image. However, imported chain mail is known to have been available to them, and the ruler Mansa Musa (c. 1312-1337 AD) probably introduced stirrups into the region after his famous pilgrimage to Mecca.

These righteous young men sought refuge in a cave, and Allah blessed them with a معجزة (miracle) sleep that preserved their faith and inspired generations.

🔑 Lesson: The story emphasizes the importance of faith, صبر (patience), and seeking توكل (reliance) in Allah during challenging times. It reminds us that استقامة (steadfastness) in our beliefs can lead to unimaginable blessings.

2️⃣ Gratitude and Humility in the Face of Wealth: The parable of the حديقتين (Two Gardens) highlights the transient nature of worldly possessions. A wealthy man boasted about his كُفر (abundant) gardens without acknowledging Allah's blessings, and his gardens were eventually destroyed.

🔑 Lesson: This parable reminds us to have شكر (gratitude) for our نعمة (blessings) and recognize the حقيقة (true reality) of prosperity. It teaches تواضع (humility) and cautions against being blinded by the غلبة (dominance) of material wealth.

3️⃣ Seeking Knowledge and Humility: The encounter between Prophet Moses (Nabi Musa) and Al-Khidr reveals the importance of seeking knowledge and maintaining humility. Musa learns from Al-Khidr, a servant of Allah, and is tested in his patience and understanding.

🔑 Lesson: This encounter teaches us the value of knowledge and the humility required to learn from those who possess deeper wisdom. It reminds us that there are hidden dimensions to events and situations beyond our limited understanding. It encourages us to be open-minded, patient, and humble in our pursuit of knowledge and to recognize that true wisdom comes from Allah alone.

By reflecting on this lesson, we are reminded to approach knowledge with humility, knowing that there is always more to learn and understand. We are encouraged to seek knowledge, engage in lifelong learning, and be receptive to the wisdom and guidance that Allah places in the path of our journey.

Have I mentioned my hatred for this episode too?

I want to love the idea of the pixie play to tell this episode, but I just hate the pixies too much

Why is Faragonda not there to meet the students she sent on a dangerous mission? Once again, she demonstrates that she should not be put in charge of anything

So the three witches worked for Darkar, and Valtor worked for the witches, and the trix are the descendants of the witches... Is there no one after world domination that isn't somehow part of the destruction of Domino? It's like no one tries to take over the world for kicks anymore.

"Faragonda’s hiding something from us. She's never done that before." TECNA. TECNA MY BELOVED YOU CAN'T BELIEVE THAT. FARAGONDA IS SHADY AF.

No one in this show is concerned enough about Darkar being able to spy on them

Did Faragonda forget that she has other students? Why were they not sent for to destroy the stone? Did she call them by dorm? Why did no one question why she was getting 2nd year students to destroy it when she could likely do it herself? So many unanswered questions.

Worried somethings happened? No Sky, you're controlling. Your girlfriend doesn't need to report her every fucking move to you.

Oh look, other students. Wonder if Faragonda’s confused as to where they came from.

The pixies are real fucking needy. They might be worse than Sky.

Brandon needs to smack Sky. He should know that spying on your girlfriend is not okay. But also, Bloom, just shoot him a quick text JFC

Kikos pettiness is the best thing about this garbage episode.
