Ok don't ask why but...c!beeduo dynamic where tubbo goes "I'm not religious but I don't know what I did for Prime to bless me with being loved by you" and starts working on ways to protect ranboo and Ranboo is like "I thank End every day for letting me love you" and going make Tubbo take breaks in his work.

They also take care of each other (when Tubbo can't look in the mirror cause of the scars or the horns reminding him of schlatt or when Ranboo has trouble with himself particularly getting out of enderwalk) and they remind the other that they are loved.

- c!dream is dead. Dead as hell.

- because of this the dust can finally settle, now people can begin to heal.

- this includes the _beloveds

- ever since c!Tubbo got the news of his husband’s death, he started to research revival and made some interesting discoveries

- c!Ranboo was revived, and they both had a heart to heart. Now that c!dream is gone, they both decided to move into the mansion permanently

Here’s some domestic fluffy stuff

- when they kiss, c!Tubbo likes to hold c!Ran’s face and brush his thumbs against their cheekbones.

- c!Tubbo loves braiding c!Ran’s hair. And c!Ran loves to run their fingers through c!Tubbs hair.

- quick side note, I headcannon that c!Tubbo’s hair is softer then the average persons, given he’s a sheep hybrid

- their wedding rings are made of silver to prevent Michael from chewing on them

- the rings also have sappy engravings on the inside. Only they know what they say

- they love to put on fancy clothes and dance together

- Michael loves to bake cookies with his dads. His favorite flavor is snickerdoodle

hmmmm can't say I've read too many but in terms of premise I'd say a solid B+

Wholly depends on the characters and situation, some characters I'm more likely to read domestic fluff of than others. boreal trio? absolutely. SBI? Most likely. Anyone else (aside from beeduo I will read pretty much anything with them without question they hold my whole heart) it's a toss up and the writing would have to be very engaging

it's basically choosing between A) c!beeduo having a happy life and then it all falls apart the day of the outbreak, when ranboo dies, or B) they have a miserable life together and tubbo is unable to let himself love ranboo, but they care about each other all the same until ranboo sacrifices himself for tubbo and michael -> also the only alternative where ranboo gets to meet michael

I much rather the idea of cranboo as Tess BUT consider the fact that Tess is cool and great and competent & cranboo is soggy and bedraggled and pathetic.

I think that, in the case of a TLOU AU, some serious recharacterisation is in order - part of what makes Tubbo’s character so compelling is the idea that he’s just some kid, and he’s found himself roped into a situation where his innocence is stripped away, and he does the very best that he can, and maybe he can’t tell what’s best emotionally or morally, so he goes by the book and works with a method. Right? Right. That’s difficult to work with if he already has people that he loves with all his heart - especially a romantic partner or child.

And the thing with cbee is that they’re BOTH messed up (re: even prior to their marriage, they both had this debilitating guilt and fear that was almost entirely confined within themselves) and they were best friends anyway. That’s SO important to who they are. Yeah they’re in gay love and they smoke gay weed and gay kiss or whatever but they were BEST FRIENDS FIRST. And that tone is hard to achieve in a setting like the opening of TLOU - a setting where, by all means, the domesticity and romantic love is assumed to have been already established.

The problem is that the start of TLOU is intended to INFORM Joel’s character, as well as place him in a situation where he’s never truly experienced tragedy, but is now surrounded by it. Now Tubbo is already a walking tragedy, and that informs his character long before he meets Ranboo, which means maybe something more life-altering is in order… maybe some sort of apocalypse…. maybe a kind of….. Doomsday….?

Proposal: their lives are torn apart separately. Tubbo’s “happy life” prior to the apocalypse is equatable to L’Manburg, where he’s got people at his side, people that he loves, but he’s still a little bit alone. Ranboo only meets him AFTER everything has gone wrong, and maybe you can make parallels to New L’Manburg and have them talk in passing in a situation where they’re preoccupied with their own troubles, then have them properly come together once everything falls apart. And then they find themselves a Michael. Could be fun.

Thoughts on c!beeduo? I know your niche is more Quackity, Wilbur, and Tommy, but I would love to hear your take on the characters.

tbf i think they are super cute as a duo, and i love them as characters. i have a lot of fondness for ranboo as a neurodivergent-coded character, and love what i know of tubbo's plotline about like... the ways he's been shoved around by people and puppeted, and the toll that's taken on him, and i think the whole like. 'determined, deliberate domesticity and family-making in the face of unimaginable horrors and suffering (but also i have nukes and will use them)' vibe i get from them is so, so interesting and very much the kind of thing i like.

but i just like... do not know much about them beyond some bits from other people's streams :( ranboo's stuff is on my to-watch list - it seems like it'd be very my jam - but tbh i'm not sure if/when i'll get round to it...

(honestly a lot of the stuff i really liked about the dsmp, a lot of the characters i really liked, has kind of petered out, so i don't watch so much of it any more. there's still fic i'm writing, and i still occasionally read fic for it, but hermitcraft is a lot more my main fandom now. which isn't neg on dsmp or anything, i just.... really specifically loved a lot of character dynamics where like. schlatt's long gone, wilbur's gone, quackity just does animatics which are fun and good but don't have the requisite momentum / emotional build, tommy's stuff has stalled... idk. we'll see where the new season goes!)
