Hateful and antagonistic towards each other, that canonical divorced and remarried and then divorced again energy.

Head over heels in love to the point where no one can stand to be around them because they're so goddamn schmoopey.

Married and domestic and completely at ease with one another without a care in the world, because they have each other.

Toxic and co-dependent and abusive, drawing blood and leaving bruises, spewing venom every time they speak, but unable to quit because if they do, they'll have nothing.

I want them to hurt each other and I want them to be each others' comfort. I want them to have screaming matches at 2am followed by quiet heartfelt apologies at 3am. Let them have kids, or just a dog. Let them have devil fruit powers, or a mortgage and a car payment. Let them have earth shaking arguments AND orgasms.

Let them be on and off friends with benefits, let them be enemies to friends to lovers and all the things in between, let them be soulmates that were chosen in the holiest levels of Valhalla, finding each other across many lives and universes.

In regards to your post on dofladile, I personally feel that the senpai thing was mostly interpreted as a joke. However, with the recent asks sent my way in response to my post on Doflamingo "borrowing" Crocodile's idea, I will say that I understand that some people will take things regarding a pairing seriously, and I never expected the post to be reblogged as much as it did, seeing that I've posted similar and far worse involving the characters. For the most part, I take writing (cont.)

(con.) rather seriously. Just once in a while, it’s nice to have fun and joke about a few things. This was one of those opportunities. I can’t draw silly comics where OP characters are making fools of themselves, but I can write. And from what I can tell, most of everyone was having fun. I didn’t think it would affect some fans negatively, and I hope you’ll understand it was never an intention to start up any sort of debate on the pairing’s legitimacy.

Ok, so you refered to this post of mine.

At the beginning, just to say, thank you for offering yous POV and what you meant to say. And I think it is not necessary to explain that I had every right to react to it, with valid arguments ofc. Separatedly or not. You stated your opinion. I stated mine. As simple as that.

* I’m naturally fine with DofuWani humor. No matter what’s the topic that humouristic content focuses on. When it’s done as a joke, it’s a joke. And I understand and I agree that it is needed once in a while. Why not? But when it’s stated in a clearly humoristic way. And I apologize, but your post didn’t seem like that. Ok, I can understand that you maybe didn’t wanted to. Also my post didn’t only focus on shipping part. Senpai/kohai thing refered to any kind of different treatment towards these two. To characters that should get same kind of treatment. My post also focused on canon facts as well.

I can be called salty though, for the way I react (even though I say that I love both of these characters equally) or like I’m taking fiction too seriously, but then I see those same people getting serious and agittated, frustrated over their favorite character being mischaracterizied or because of some mistreatment, and naturally I’m not going to take those arguments seriously. Never will. And we are all invested in these things sooner or later, and those arguments are immenselly contradicting to every single thing we do here. Showing big love towards something and getting really agittated because of something, BOTH show that we take these things ‘’seriously’’. Not literally seriously, but in emotional way. So those kind of arguments are just nothing. Just saying.

* Your post was simply contra canon facts (and I stated in my previous post, that I mentioned at the beginning, why it is contradicting towards canon), unobjective towards Doflamingo’s character, and not ‘clearly’ written in some humoristic way. And the fact that it was written by a DofuWani shipper made me react even more. Because I expect fairness towards these two in this fandom.

And while some people are telling that all they did with it was being happy over Crocodile getting a spotlight, why is Doflamingo even mentioned there, and in such a way? What does he even have to do with Crocodile’s spotlight? The reactions and post itself clearly was more focused on that false conclusion. Which you say it was a joke. But yes, ok, I’ll choose to believe that it was meant to be a joke. And to understand you. But I hope you understand this too.

Joke or not, it was not really specified as that. And you know that you can’t blame those people for reacting to it somewhat negatively. And the fact that people showed gratitude or agreement to what I said, either through likes, tags, or messages, shows that people didn’t just have fun with it. And they can’t be blamed for it.

* And can’t be surprised if fans of either of these two get weirded out at anything similar. Or disinterested in this ship, if we’re gonna talk about it alone. Fairness towards both character in a ship we ship is kinda thing that is expected to be found. And to not meet with situation where one is characterizied while being watched through shipping googles, while using canon facts for the other one. Or when they get weirded out at any sort of different ‘’ettiquetes’’ being put on either of them (senpai/kohai, top/bottom etc.). They are both dominant and authoritative characters, with similar issues but out of different reasons. And with different and separated stories. And fans love them for what they are and that is a normal thing. (Speaking of that, we have material to never ever have roles-fuss in this ship. And that could be a great thing. IF people could realise that). 

* I just saw SO many RIDICULOUS mischaracterizations of characters in various fandoms. Over which people are really SERIOUS. So I can’t/couldn’t be sure whether you were joking or not. You never know. If you ever were a part of Naruto fandom for example, you’d understand PERFECTLY what I’m saying. Millions of people there is ready to take utterly OOC thing and claim it as CANON. To ruin a character for their self-indulgent scenario and interpretation of a character. All is ok till those people don’t start to claim that as canon and throw their headcanons at people’s faces, and call out people who think that is not ok and try to contradict it, as salty or too serious.

Majority of people will very easily give in to ‘OOCheadcanon’ kind of content. Cause  remembering all the canon facts can sometimes be troublesome. Even more when two complex characters like Doffy and Croc are the topic. Why would they, right? It’s fun for people like me but people will rather choose the easier way. And once they see something similar to your post, there’s a risk that they’d easliy give in to something like that. Senpai/kohai thing, or anything similary OOC, that would totally be contra this ship. With a ship and fandom still being rather small, it is easier to contact people and discuss about it. But imagine if this is some huge thing (like ZoSan or LawLu for example). We should try not to ever become something like that.

* DofuWani is a ‘community’. You may say that is too serious way of seeing things, and that all this is just for fun. And it is. But when you go to your blog, you see yourself reacting rather serious at mischaracterizations in a fandom of some characters you like (it doesn’t have to be just OP). So it’s all even. And I think we should work on peace in it. Can’t have general fun without some kind of peace. We have all material we need to never make any fuss about roles or anything like that. I may see it as showing respect to these two great creations of characters and the way they were written.

*And just may I say that no Doffy fan in DofuWani fandom EVER made a joke even similar to this, like Croc taking Doffy’s idea, even though they could. I never saw something like that. They had material until this SBS, it could be said that Crocodile started with the plan and did it later than him. But the moment this last SBS was released, some people here jumped to that false conclusion that Doffy borrowed the ‘idea’. And it was even said by no less than a DofuWani shipper. 

(About the tagging thing - when you make a post of your own and add on it the official/universal tags of thing you were talking about (names of character, story etc, it will appear in public tag where all people who follow it can see it.
