Quote
One of the most revolutionary things you can do as a woman is make peace with the idea of being disliked, or even hated. Make peace with people calling you unlikable, shrill, ugly, unkind, because I promise that people will call you whatever they think will make you shut up.

truly just learn the phrase "I did not like this" instead of trying to give some moral or ethical reasoning behind why it's actually evil and morally wrong and problematic. you are allowed to just not like things because they're not good in your personal opinion, they don't have to be problematic you can just not like them

No one wants me around. They think I have no idea, but I do. I see it when they look at me. I see it when they talk to me. They look at me differently, they talk to me differently.
I have no one. No support, no friends, no family. I just wanted to be happy, have friends, have a normal family. But none of that will ever happen for me. I am going to be alone for the rest of my life because for some reason, I was born into this world hated. I guess i'll be going out of this world hated.

I have a confession to make: i never liked the red and green color scheme from the "Sakura Kinomoto: Stars Bless You" scale figure.😖 I always wished it used more analogous colors. In fact, i never liked the red and green color scheme from that also otherwise beautiful C.C. black wedding dress figure. Even with the red/green so dark and subtle, it immediately always bothered me.
I think the only time i like red with green is Christmas themed things, with the accompanying garish ornamentation. I think excessive stars, sparkling garlands, and shiny ribbons, plus the usual trims of white/yellow to balance things out, may be the only thing that can make the clash of those 2 opposite colors work for me. As if only garish ornamentation can stand up against the garish clash of those colors to my eyes. It balances out; makes it cohesive. Observe:

Otherwise, red and green can look tacky to me. I don't care if the color wheel says they're supposed to look good together. Another way of saying "opposite colors" is "clashing colors".🫣

Cannot stop thinking about Angels voice change.
I cannot stop thinking about how even his voice was an act.
The way his accent got stronger, how the pitch got lower. The way he finally spoke with his real voice when he was talking to Charlie and Husk. Im unwell.
Pairing it with the visual reveal of his real name was just the cherry on top like oh my god aaaaaa

Why It's Okay Not To Be Liked
We're human, we're social beings, we thrive around people, we all want to be liked. We pride ourselves on our ability to like and be liked, therefore we may struggle with the concept of not being liked.
Be okay with being disliked
Being okay with being 'disliked' also means being authentic and true to yourself. When you prioritise your own values and beliefs instead of constantly seeking approval, you create a strong sense of self. This self-assuredness can attract genuine connections and like-minded individuals who appreciate and respect you for who you truly are.
Being unliked can foster personal growth
Additionally, being comfortable with being disliked can foster personal growth and resilience. It allows you to learn from criticism and use it as a tool for self-improvement rather than taking it personally or letting it affect your self-esteem. It helps you develop emotional intelligence, and the ability to handle challenging situations with grace and maturity.
We're all unique
Not everyone will like or resonate with you, and that's okay. It is important to embrace the fact that we are all unique individuals with our own preferences and perspectives. Focus on cultivating relationships with those who appreciate and support you, rather than trying to please everyone. If you're okay with not being liked, you can speak out without worrying about the repercussions. It is impossible to please everyone, it is impossible to be liked by everyone.
Ultimately though, being okay with being disliked is a liberating mindset that gives you the freedom to be your authentic self and live life on your own terms, without jealousy. It allows you to let go of the need for constant validation and approval and instead, allows you to prioritise your own happiness, fulfillment and life.
Dedicated to those who needed to hear this today.

Blacker proffered the hand of friendship directly to the left, inviting the participation in his society's affairs of Haldane, whom he disliked; Hogben, whom he scorned (according to Blacker, Hogben delivered his inaugural lecture as professor of social biology at the London School of Economics while wearing "a pink tie and [with] his hair arranged in such a way that three curls dangled down over his forehead, rather like what you see behind the counters in Selfridges – we were not entirely pleased"); and even Penrose, an outspoken opponent of eugenics, who accepted a lecture invitation with the warning: "You know the risks you are taking."²⁷

Carr-Saunders to Blacker, June 6, 1932; Blacker to J. S. Huxley, Oct. 24, 1930; Penrose to Blacker, July 14, 1948; Eugenics Society Records, files C.56, C.186, C.271. The thirties, Blacker later wrote, was a "bad time for eugenists to assess their values in terms of class." C. P. Blacker, Eugenics, Galton and After (Duckworth, 1952), pp. 140-41.
