The Girl Who fell In love
The kiss that changed their lives. From that moment on, Taehyung was mine. He didn't ask and neither did I, but I knew in that moment there was no one else I wanted to spend my time with. So we were inseparable. I never felt like I could get enough, I wanted more. I wanted to get to know the boy who for the longest time I had so many misconceptions about. So that's what I did, I got to know him.
My heart would race when the doorbell would ring after school, because I knew that that was him coming over to clean the pool. I would lay by the pool pretending to be reading a magazine while stealing glances at him every opportunity that I could. When he finished cleaning we would drink lemonade or tea and have a snack and just talk. Sometimes I wondered if I was oversharing. I hadn't know Tae for that long but somehow I felt completely comfortable opening up to him. Along withour pool side dates, we would also do our homework anything that would allow us to spend time together.
Everything was going great the only problem was that Tae never formally asked me out on a date or to be his girlfriend. That bothered me a bit because I wasn't sure what I was to him. I was really starting to worry and that's when the insecurities came in. What if he didn't feel the same way about me as I did him? That all changed one day though, I was grabbing some books from my locker when Andy approached me. I hadn't talked to him since the day he tried to humiliate Tae at my party. I had seen a totally different side of him and I definitely wasn't interested in continuing that friendship.
He leaned on the locker next to me and I did my best to ignore him, to act like I hadn't even notice that he had arrived. He cleared his thoat out in an annoying attempt to get me to notice him and I groaned in frustraton knowing that I would eventually have to talk to him. "What do you want?"
"What do I want? The question is what do you want? And the answer is to be my date to homecoming." He said slying and I gave him a look of disgust finally closing my locker and facing him.
"There's nothing that would bring me greater displeasure than to be your date." I said.
"Do you know what your saying right now?" He asked a bit taken aback at my bluntness. "Every girl in this school wants me to take them to homecoming. So you better rethink because I don't ask twice."
I scoffed turning around and starting to walk away. He grabbed my arm preventing me from moving foward. "What's your problem? Is there someone else you are already going with? Come on I know you want to be my date."
"Why would she want to go to homecomng with you when she is already going with her boyfriend?" Taehyung's voice came out of nowhere and I looked up to see him approaching us.
"B- boyfriend?" Andy stuttered.
"Yes, boyfriend." Taehyung said wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me in closer to him. He looked down and smiled at me and I couldn't hide the giant smile plastered over my face.
"No way. No fucking way. You have got to be kidding me. You're dating him? This loser?"
"Excuse me? There's only one loser here and it definetly isn't my boyfriend."
Andy was furious I had not only rejected him but insulted him. "You are going to regret this." He said.
Taehyung grabbed my hand squeezing it slightly before turning around and walking away from Andy as I followed. I couldn't help stare at him as he led me outside of the school in into the courtyard.
We sat on a bench facing the school and Taehyung took an apple out of his bag and began to eat, totally oblivious to the fact that I was staring at him. When he finally noticed he stopping eating. "Oh sorry did you want some?"
"So what you just said back in there. Was it true?"
"Was what true?"
"Am I your girlfriend?"
"Of course you're my girl." My heart stopped.  I could feel excitement all throughout me. I had wanted this more than ever for so long. Finally after weeks of hanging out, just the two of us he had made us official. I couldn't be any happier than In this moment.
"Do you wanna get out of here?"  Taehyung asked suddenly.
"Skip school?" I pondered it for a bit, I had never skipped school before but At this point I'd pretty much say yes to anything Tae asked me to do.
"Yes, I mean there's only two classes left anyway. I don't know, I just want want to be alone with you right now." He smiled.
"Okay let's go to my house." Y/n said. She normally wouldn't have suggest going to her house in the middle of the day but her parents were working an Tae's mom was out of town, so the two of them would be alone.
Taehyung's POV
Tumblr media
The boy who fell in love
Taehyung wasn't good at opening up to people. He didn't really like having deep conversations and expressing his emotions. It made him feel weak, vulnerable.
But as he layed in the soft grass next to y/n listening to her speak, there was nothing more that he wanted then to tell her everything about himself from beginning to end.
When y/n friend's how found out about the situation with Andy In the hallway they had started to text her nonstop. Taehyung knew that Andy would inevitably make a big deal of the situation and that's why he wanted to get y/n away from school for the rest of the day. But his plan only worked momentarily as he watched the annoyed expression on her face as she declined calls and read text messages.
"Is everything okay?" He asked facing her.
"It's my friends. They're just worried." She said putting down her phone and facing Taehyung so that they were face to face.  "They are really overprotective and they don't want me to ruin my 'image' "she said.
"They feel like hanging out with me will do that?" He asked although he already knew the answer.
"They just... they've heard things about you. They are gullible and easily believe rumors. They can't see you like I do." She said smiling so wholeheartedly at Taehyung it made his world spin.
"What if they are right about me? What if the rumors are true?" He asked. Y/n thought about it seriously for a second before laughing out loud at the question.
"So you're a big time drug dealer? Wait let me guess you got kicked out of your last school for selling drugs to everyone at school?" She joked.
She watched Taehyung as he laid there his expression unchanged. Then a look of worry took over took her face, then a soft reassuring smile.
"It must be something serious, huh?" She asked.
Taehyung just nodded. "Okay you don't have to tell me now but just know that when you are ready to tell me I'll be all ears okay?"
"Sounds perfect." Taehyung said kissing her hand softly and then intertwining his hand with hers.
"You know this is my first ever laying in the grass?" He said.
"What? Does this also mean that this is your first time having a picnic?" She asked.
"Yes." he laughed.
"Well since we are sharing firsts. This is my first time skipping school."
"Really?" He asked. But honestly Taehyung wasn't surprised y/n was a good girl. She didn't do things like skip school to be with a boy.
"Yes. So is this what you normally do when you skip? Hang out with girls at their house?" She joked.
"Actually yes." Taehyung replied.
Y/n sat up apparently a little disappointed in the response she had received from Taehyung. He sat up as well so that he could explain what he really meant to say. "Usually when I leave school is because something is going on with my little sister. My mom is so busy working here and she doesn't have time to handle things like that so I have to sometimes. If they have a half day at school or if she isn't feeling well I go home and take care of her.
"Aww, I had no clue. That's so sweet Tae. I feel like such an idiot, this whole time we all thought that you'd skip so you could hang out with your friends or something but in actuality you are taking care of your family."
Taehyung laughed. "You aren't an idiot. I'm here at this school on a scholarship. My education means a lot to me so I try to take it seriously. I have to succeed y/n, for me failure is not an option. I have to work hard so that I can get into a good college and then get a good career to take care of my family."
"Wow, you have such an amazing goal for yourself. That's incredible." She said.
"What about you? What are your goals and aspirations?" He asked.
"Hmm" She said as she looked at the sky, she pondered the question for a while before turning back to look at Taehyung. "My parents want me to go to law school, like my older brother and sister did. "
"So that's your parent's goal but what about yours. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?" He questioned.
"Well, you know the dress that I wore to my party?"
"The one you looked absolutely stunning in?" He asked causing y/n to blush.
"Yes that one, I actually designed the dress. That's what I want to do. I want to be a fashion designer. But I don't think it really matters what I want to be honest. My parent will only support my dream if it is in line with theirs and mine clearly isn't." She signed.
"Well I say you should do what makes you happy."
"I agree with you, I want to be happy and Tae being with you makes me happy." She smiled biting her lip as she looked at him.
An angel, Taehyung thought that she might be an actual angel. She was so pure and so kind. She was so intelligent and also caring. She made Taehyung laugh and his heart rate sped up when she looked into his eyes. How could he have gotten so lucky? He had been so wrong about people with money. Or maybe y/n was just different. He wasn't sure at the moment, but all he knew was that he wanted to kiss her, again and again. So he did, he relished in the feeling of her soft lips contrasting his. The way she moaned into the kiss inviting him to deepen the kiss. Kissing her was the greatest feeling Taehyung had ever felt and he didn't want it to stop. But it did, when the two heard someone clearing out ther throat and looked up to see Y/n's father hovering over them with a disapproving glare.
Taehyung and y/n stood up immediately. Taehyung bowed before saying hello.
"Father, I didn't know you'd be home from work so early." Y/n said.
"Yes and I didn't know you had gotten so friendly with the pool boy." He retorted clearly unimpressed by Taehyung.
"The pool boy's name is Taehyung father, and he's my boyfriend."
"Boyfriend?" Y/n's fathered asked when she was barely finished with the sentence.
"Yes, boyfriend." She said smiling proudly.
"Your mother is waiting for you in the kitchen, why don't you give me and the pool boy here a little privacy."
"Fine." She said. "Meet me in my room when you are finished." She said to Tae and walking into the house leaving him alone with her father, who's glare was becoming more menacing by the second.
"Boyfriend huh?" Were the first words that came out of his mouth.
"Mr. y/l/n, I want to apologizing for being introduced to you in this way. I know we have seen each other in passing before but I never intended to meet you like this my apologies, sir."
"Well I just thought with school and this job that you'd have way too much to do and wouldn't have time to spend with my daughter. Hmm maybe that's why the pool has been looking a bit unkempt lately." He said glancing at the pool and then back at Taehyung.
Taehyung thought a minute before replying. There was no way he had been slacking on his job of taking care of the pool. He needed this job to help his mother. Yes y/n was a little distracting for him at times but he always made sure to get his job done. He was getting a very bad vibe from y/n's dad. He seemed to be warning him in some type of way to stay away from his daughter but Taehyung just couldn't do that.
"I'm sorry sir, I'll make sure I spend extra time insuring that the pool is clean. It will be my first priority." He replied, simple as that. He wasn't going to stop seeing y/n but he would make sure that her father had nothing to complain about.
"I see, well just know that I will be watching you from here on out." He said before turning around and walking into the house leaving Taehyung alone in the backyard.
Fuck, that had not gone well at all. There was something Taehyung didn't like about the way Y/n's dad had spoken to him but he realized that he saw Taehyung as beneath him probably not fit for his daughter. He worried about how they would progress moving forward, how would he be able to continue seeing y/n if her father didn't approve. Okay maybe he was being a bit pessimistic. He never said he didn't approve, he just wants Taehyung to be able to balance his job school and spending time with y/n. Maybe he was looking out for Taehyung. Who knows.
All that he knew was that he had a very bad feeling about the conversation he had just had. Would this affect his future with y/n? Only time would tell.
