Honestly I think I speak for everybody when I say that if Disney absolutely HAD to dig up their classic films, I would rather get sequels than live action remakes.
Like the straight to DVD sequals had potential and a couple of them were actually good. If they had higher budgets and more time to work on them I think that more of them would be really great.
They dug up older charecters but at the VERY LEAST had some original ideas and concepts, again preferably I would want neither but if a Disney exec put a gun to my head and asked me wether I wanted to see "live action" versions of Robin Hood, Hercules, Snow White, and Treasure Planet OR a full blown sequel, I will pick the sequals
Ren unwillingly tests out Stimpy’s “happy helmet” in 1992,
Edward tries shipping himself out of Camp Kidney in 2007,
the Planet Express crew face a wormhole in 2009,
and the Gen 2 Total Drama campers battle a giant squid in 2012. My favourite of these would be the Camp Lazlo episode, but the Ren & Stimpy and Futurama entires were pretty impressive too.
The story is about a royal family which is cursed by an evil witch.
The story is rushed, we get barely any information about what is going on and the plot holes in this is massive.
The Characters
The characters are barebones and unoriginal, heck, some of the characters (such as the King), disappear from the story for no reason, never to be seen again.
The Animation/Special Effects
The animation in this is cheap, recycled and stiff. The film is narrated by one woman who also voices all the characters who's lip-syncing is all out of sync!
It's Phoenix Games's Peter Pan all over again!
Final Thoughts
Overall, this is just another Direct-to-VHS film that will bore your kids instead of entertaining them. Leave this piece of swan dropping on your cheap hat, on second thought... throw it in the bin while your at it!
