Had an idea of Raven's class needing to make a love potion, or something adjacent to it, (Love can and has been used for evil!)

To make sure you've done it right it will smell like something you like, or something you associate with someone you like.

Raven smells her potion to make sure she did it right, and it smells very familiar, but vauge enough that she can't quite remember who it might be from. It doesn't smell like a thing she might like, it very distinctly smells like someone.

She just can't figure out who that someone is, but it absolutely must be someone she knows. She tells her friends about it and Maddie of course tries naming people who it might be, but then she goes off on an unrelated tangent, or tries to help out by smelling her potion, only to realize they smell different things.

It keeps bothering her all day because it's so annoying to have something on the tip of your tongue and you just can't get it!

She complains later to Apple and she's like "Oh, I'm sure it'll come to you somehow." Raven decides to try and put it out of her mind.

Then it hits her in the late hours of the evening.

"Apple. Apple! Oh my Fairy Godmother!"

"What is it?"

"That smell is Dexter's cologne."

"Raven I am very proud you figured it out, but with all due respect it's four in the morning."

The next day Raven just has to make sure, and she meets up with Dexter, and sure enough, she's right.

Cue shenanigans I guess.

It sucks there's barely any Ever After High fanfic esp cuz it was cancelled prematurely cuz of Disney's selfish greed.

All I want is Dexter/Raven angst-with-happy-ending whump fluff, maybe even some good ol' "family doesn't approve" drama and questioning of self worth (not to mention I am BEGGING for some fic where Raven eats the apple and Dex wakes her up cuz I love cliches). I am also DESPERATE for Charming sibling trio shenanigans cuz how wholesome is it that they have lunch dates together on the regular so much so that Daring and Dexter know to go looking if Darling doesn't show up. I want all the Dexter and Darling being twinsies and Daring being their resident drama queen but genuinely caring big bro. Oh and Daring and Cerise because 100% loved what they were doing over there before they brought in Rosabella (she's nice but I don't feel she contributes much to Daring's personal story as much as Cerise could).

There's like 5 fics on Ao3/FFN combined for these dynamics. I'm craving more after watching the full series twice and I'm so sad 😩

there was only ONE good thing eah did when it came to that absolutely ridiculous cupid-dexter-raven love triangle/strange, nonsensical romantic side plot (idek????)

and that was the fact that they never made cupid and raven have a weird sort of rivalry over dexter.

like yeah they both liked him and they liked him a lot and there were A LOT of miscommunications and shenanigans, but never once did eah play into one of those rival tropes and im so glad.

those tropes are so prevalent in most shows like this and it's always so annoying to see your favorite characters act in the strangest ways over a crush.

also i always found it really sweet how cupid genuinely tried her best to ensure dexter and raven ended up together because she saw that they were happy together.

and during true heart's day when raven thought cupid and dexter were together, she was so nice about it; like GOD BLESS the writers didn't think to be silly and have her make a fuss about it.

anyways regardless im just really glad we didn't go down this route because cupid and raven are very wonderful, sweet characters and it would've been WAYY out of character for them to act that way.

Having the Evil Queen as a mother was a constant lesson in not trusting anyone. But Dexter just seemed so... so something.
