“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” —Deuteronomy 30:19‭-‬20 (NLT)

Christ said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you" Matthew 28:19‭-‬20.
These commands consist of both the Old and the New Testaments to an extent because Christ says "Think not that I came to destroy the law but to fulfill" (Matthew 5:17) . . . This is consistent because in his words to the churches in Revelation, he resorts to the Old Testament referring to the doctrine of Baalim (Revelation 2:14), which very well yet holds relevance to the church's ("God's people) interaction with the world on this time of the year.
Nehemiah told some that we his servants will arise and build: but you have no portion, nor memorial, nor right with them (Nehemiah 2:19-20). In Deuteronomy 12:29-30, the instructions to God's people was to take heed to not serve the gods of other nations in the same manner that they do. THIS is the very thing that God addresses over in the NT unto the church, referring to it as the doctrine of Baalim (Revelation 2:14; Numbers 25:1). It's a stumbling block unto the church -- certainly. "The concept of separation from evil is fundamental to God's relationship with His people." The very objective of God is to sanctify his people (John 17:17), and the very definition of sanctify is SEPERATED for God's use. To be sanctified is consistent with God's command to his people to "Be holy for he is holy," and that's both Testaments (I Peter 1:16)
Just words to the Church. 📚 Study. Make sure that whoever you're following is leading you to God in a pleasing manner in his sight and not into a ditch (Matthew 15:14), which is hell.

With Jesus Sittin' Right Next To Me
Sometimes, I write down a private note to myself of an event or an observation that I witnessed or just jot down a random thought to pick up later.
Sometimes you vividly remember. Sometimes you shake your head and wonder what craziness did you scribble.
.
Do you ever do that too? 🤔
No? Nobody, huh? 🤨
Y'all just gonna let me be all vulnerable out here on Michelle Obama's internet and not say anything. Wow! 😞
Anyway, I digress since I see how y'all do a sister. Smh 😅
Today, I had a memory written from 3 years ago with this caption, "with Jesus sittin' right beside me"
Now I don't know if this was a moment when He was celebrating my spiritual growth or witnessing a spiritual stumble.
I believe it was a moment of restraint when I wanted to respond in a worldly way.
Free will is a blessing.
It has power that can be used for good and bad outcomes.

I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

I can't love you
I cannot love someone I do not know,
I cannot love someone just because,
I cannot love someone without at least knowing...
That's what I did at first,
I abandoned You & all Your love,
Being certain that You will always be there for me anyway, I was abusive & demanding,
I was disrespectful & all I gave You was pain...
Now, I'm getting closer with You again,
the scales on my eyes were removed,
and yes, I can love You now
Now that I know You only mean good for me,
now that I know You only want forever with me,
now that I know You refine in fire the ones You love not to hurt them but to prepare them for Your reign,
I remember You saying, "You cannot put new wine in old wine skins"
I will always vividly remember how You patiently waited for me to love You again, insisting nothing, demanding nothing, it was me who ran away, and yet it was I who was pursued by You
I don't even need to understand why in my frailty You put beauty, in my weakness You kept clothing me with strength like that of the eagles, in my despair You raised Your hand and tell that wind to be still, in my darkness You shine like a million suns ablaze
You were You, the One who deserved to be known & loved, only You
Don't let me slip again,
Don't let me waste my breath again,
Don't let the comforts I can sense, blind me again
Help to put on the armor You prepared for Your warrior of love
~Morning Reflections from this chapter
God , your God, will cut away the thick calluses on your heart and your children’s hearts, freeing you to love God , your God, with your whole heart and soul and live, really live...
And you will make a new start, listening obediently to God , keeping all his commandments that I’m commanding you today. God , your God, will outdo himself in making things go well for you...
But only if you listen obediently to God , your God, and keep the commandments and regulations written in this Book of Revelation.
Nothing halfhearted here; you must return to God , your God, totally, heart and soul, holding nothing back. This commandment that I’m commanding you today isn’t too much for you, it’s not out of your reach... No. The word is right here and now—as near as the tongue in your mouth, as near as the heart in your chest. Just do it!
And I command you today: Love God , your God. Walk in his ways. Keep his commandments, regulations, and rules so that you will live, really live...
I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live. And love God , your God, listening obediently to him, firmly embracing him. Oh yes, he is life itself, a long life settled on the soil that God , your God, promised to give your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Deuteronomy 30:6‭-‬14‭, ‬16‭, ‬19‭-‬20 MSG
