Auctober day 5 - music

I love stimming to music! It’s so good. Can either be a full-body thing when home alone (or out dancing back when I used to do that), or just a more subtle thing like listening to music with my earbuds in and walking in time to the music, or tapping my fingers in rhythm with the music, when out in public. Perfect!

For me personally it’s a very good way to get back into my body when it feels like I’m no longer really connected to it.

Looking back on it now, going dancing with one of my best friends in my mid 20s was a kind of two-person-stim-thing. We were really in sync when dancing and it was just such a good feeling to share that experience. Also what I loved about going to concerts, sharing that music and experience with other people, and feeling connected through that. My enthusiasm about the music not being out of place, but rather something that was expected at that point in time. Wonderful feeling.
