#desmond as adha

Note
Hi! I was thinking about your reblog of my AssCreed headcanon list and I got this idea... Adha and Desmond character swap?
Desmond just wakes up in the Levant without any reason while Adha gets transported into the future because of their weird Chalice connection.
Bonus points if the switch happens at a really awkward time, like Des wakes up in bed with Altaïr and Adha with Lucy/Shaun/Rebecca (... basically whatever modern day character you ship Desmond with, or maybe all of them if you wanna go the poly route)
And what do you know, maybe Desmond knows enough about the future to warn everybody about Al Mualim and Kadar gets to live, and maybe Adha is well-versed enough in Isu bullshit to save Lucy and the world (and also Clay, somehow? Can we fit him in there as well?).
The reblog in question and the tags I included:
#no 3 though would mean that calling adha the chalice meant, #she was similar to desmond miles, #maybe she was a failed version, #and there's a few like her, #with desmond being the final 'product', #i personally headcanon adha is called the chalice because she has a specific isu blood that can open something, #like maybe the lost city of iram, #also known as atlantis of the sands
Honestly, Desmond being reborn as Adha has been a Yew Branches idea of mine since last year mostly because:
The term Chalice would mean it’s meant to hold something (as @fanworldbuildingfun once stated) and considering the most famous Chalice is meant to hold blood, the idea that the title Chalice is connected to her blood is high and is similar to how Desmond’s blood(line) plays an important part in his story.
Adha means ‘sacrifice’ and Desmond ends up sacrificing himself. (While Adha was the sacrifice that needed to happen so Altaïr would become who he is in AC1)
Adha wanted to leave Levant and everything behind. Desmond wanted the same thing and did just that.
There’s a possibility that she was 25 when she died (unconfirmed) which is also the same age Desmond died.
Anyway, let’s talk about how Desmond and Adha swapping places would work.
Okay, so let’s go over what we’re sure will happen:
Desmond and Adha would switch places at very awkward times because that would be fun and we all love to make Desmond suffer (affectionately).
Desmond would end up saving Kadar and warn everyone about Al Mualim (and be believed, I guess?)
Adha would end up saving Lucy and the world
Optional: Clay will be saved as well
So, for this one, we’ll have to twist the timeline a bit. We never did get an idea of when (if he ever did) Desmond relived Altaïr’s memories of Altaïr’s Chronicles (although I do like to headcanon he dreamed of it while he was stuck in the trunk of the car as Lucy drives them to the Rome hideout) so we’ll throw that away and make Desmond only have vague memories of Adha because we are setting this in the timeline where Lucy is still alive so that means Desmond hasn’t reached a Synch Nexus with Altaïr yet.
I propose that they switch not after a night of passion but during it, like in the exact middle of it. The kind reason for this is that no one would mistake that some kind of nefarious switcheroo has happened or another. The mean (totally the main reason why I'm suggesting this) reason is… maximum embarrassment and panic for Desmond which I am all for. XD
Okay, so let’s focus on Desmond first:
The best time for Altaïr and Adha to have some quality time would be just after they reunited and left the sewers and before Altaïr went to Tyr to ‘confront’ Harash. For this, we’ll assume Altaïr didn’t leave immediately and, instead, decided to stay with Adha for one night. During that time, Desmond changes places with her and… there’s a long period of just the two of them staring at each other with growing surprise and whatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuck
Then Altaïr grabs him by the throat and demands to know who he is and where’s Adha.
And just as Desmond is starting to get lighthearted from the lack of oxygen.
He manages to blurt out.
“I’m Adha!”
And that… is how Desmond Miles, the Isu’s favorite chew toy and the unluckiest chosen one in the world, screwed up so badly that he now has to pretend to be the tragic destined-to-die lover of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.
Of course, Altaïr didn’t believe him at first but then Desmond started answering his questions, questions only Altaïr and Adha would have known the answers to and Desmond is pretty sure it wasn’t his Bleed of Altaïr that was giving him the answers.
Not when one of the questions made him say “Oh, that? Yeah. I lied to you back then. What? You were cute as a kid and you believed everything I say so I wanted to see if you’d be able to tell if I was lying! You never did, right?”
There was no way Desmond could have answered that unless Altaïr knew it was a lie. Altaïr had truly believed it which means…
For some reason…
He has Adha’s memories inside him.
Unorganized Notes:
Desmond got Altaïr to call him ‘Desmond’ because “it’ll be weird if you call a guy ‘Adha’, right? Also, the Brotherhood knows Adha and I don’t look anything like her.”
Desmond joins Altaïr in finishing up the remaining plot points of Altaïr Chronicles because something inside him knows something bad is going to happen if he doesn’t stay with Altaïr. Also, Altaïr wasn’t going to let him out of his sight because there were still a bit of lingering doubts about Desmond’s true identity which Desmond is like “yeah, that sounds about right”.
Altaïr Chronicles’ parts end successfully but Desmond gets a headache the day Adha was meant to die. He loses consciousness and Altaïr has to carry him off to somewhere safe until he wakes up.
When he wakes up, he knows where to go…
And now we get to Adha’s side of the story, in which she gets transported while Desmond was in the middle of a little stress-relieving session with Rebecca, Shaun and Lucy. All three of them immediately freaked out while Adha is momentarily confused before giving the same excuse Desmond gave to Altaïr.
“I’m Desmond Miles.”
Everyone is super sus at that but, really, they’re dealing with Isu BS and Desmond’s Bleeding Effect had been weirder than what was recorded (Lucy’s insistent “It can’t do this!!!” falls into deaf ears) and they figured the best way to check if Adha is Desmond is to put her in the Animus to check her genetic memories.
Lo and behold…
She has the same genetic DNA as Desmond Miles.
Not only that, the Animus ‘sees’ her as Subject 17 and the next memory to be played was the same memory of Ezio where they stopped for the day.
So, yeah…
According to the Animus…
Adha was Desmond Miles.
What the fuck.
Unorganized Notes:
Unlike Altaïr and Adha who did have an intimate romantic (most probably, fuck it, I’m headcanoning here, childhood friends to arranged marriage) relationship, Desmond’s relationship with Lucy, Shaun and Rebecca is primarily sexual although the feelings were starting to creep in.
If this was a fic, the narration would be more… vague. Less of Adha being an unreliable narrator and more of like the narration isn’t set in Adha’s eyes like with Desmond’s but in the eyes of the people around her although she’s the main focus.
She actually has a higher sync rate than any of Desmond’s past synchronization which is surprising.
Instead of going to the colosseum, Ezio’s memories stopped just as he had taken the Apple back from the Borgias, instead giving them the memory of Altaïr and everyone freezes when they saw Desmond with him.
They were underground and Shaun noticed that it looks a lot like the vault in the Vatican but… there are pillars, large and tall, piercing the dark ceiling above them.
After that memory plays, Adha slips into a coma and the Animus tells them that taking her off would endanger her so they keep her hooked to the Animus as it starts playing memories of Altaïr and Desmond.
During that time, Adha meets with Clay who calls her an ‘anomaly’ and Adha just smiles as she says “yeah, that sounds about right.”
Their conversation will be hidden from everyone (including the readers) and it will end with Adha waking up from her coma and telling everyone that they need to go somewhere else right now.
She takes them to the colosseum first to get the Apple but she tells Lucy to stay in the van for now. When Lucy tries to join them, the van locks by itself and Lucy freezes when she hears Clay’s voice coming from the laptop connected to the Animus.
When they returned, Lucy is oddly quiet and just asks Adha where to go next.
Adha gives them the location of a place they never heard from Ezio’s memories at all.
The Convergence:
The location in question is the lost city of Iram which has an underground Isu ‘temple’ named Iram of the Pillars.
The pillars there served as one of the many failed experiments of the Isu to protect themselves from the Solar Flare. The pillars were meant to store the data of all the Isus and the idea was they would be used to transfer the Isus forward a little bit after the Solar Flare.
The process of uploading the data itself proved to take too much time and Juno used the premise of this project and created the Mead to transfer the Isu’s consciousness instead of its entirety.
Iram can only be opened by a specific bloodline. To be more specific, the bloodline that Adha belongs to with an Isu ancestry that had been in charge of the Pillar Project (since this is a Capitoline Triad thing, I wanna say Minerva since she has a statue in Masyaf according to the novel but the idea of Juno and Aita having a child that would could be the Isu ancestor of Adha is a bit fun). This Isu ancestry is also in Altaïr’s bloodline thanks to Umar although his blood is more ‘diluted’ than Adha’s.
The Isu ancestry is why Adha is named the Chalice and why she ‘can turn the tide’ of the crusades since this is pretty much a teleporter of some sort.
Desmond is connected to Adha for one specific reason: he’s was Adha in his past life and now, thanks to whatever the fuck happened in 2012 that serves as the premise of all Yew Branches, Adha herself is the reincarnation of Desmond Miles after he died in 2012.
In other words, the Adha we’ve been looking at had been Desmond Miles who used Iram’s Pillar Project to switch their places because she, as Desmond Miles, wanted to save the people he couldn’t save in his previous life. And now, the pillars are ready for its final use.
By using the Pillars that have been upgraded thanks to Desmond in the past (and Altaïr) bringing the necessary POEs that would start the automatic upgrade construction that would need centuries to be completed, the Pillars could be used for one big moment where the entire world will be transported a few seconds into the future just as the Solar Flare hits. This way, the entire world would be gone and when it returns (without anyone knowing of the time and space displacement), the Solar Flare would have already been completed.
Now…
This is the conundrum…
Do we include in the idea that using the Pillars to save the world meant that Adha and Desmond would be stuck in their current time with Desmond with Altaïr and Adha with Shaun, Rebecca, Lucy and (digital ghost for now) Clay?
Or will the Pillars switch them back in their proper time?
What would count as a happy ending in this scenario?
Because Adha has Desmond Miles’ memories so she does love Shaun, Rebecca, and Lucy the same way Desmond Miles had and everything she had done was to save the world and save Lucy and Clay.
And Desmond has spent years with Altaïr at this point, growing close to him and Altaïr definitely realized that Desmond is more than just Adha.
So… really…
Would returning them to their original timeline truly be a happy ending?

Assassin's Creed fic 👀 I am always a sucker for (good) Desmond Miles fic, hell yeah, would 100% read those if you posted them.
👀 👉👈 you're my new favourite, anon. this isn't close to being done but i'm very fond of it so here's a lil preview~ inspired by esama's study of flight, but with a twist! (gen, time travel/reincarnation, found family, william miles' a+ parenting, accidental subterfuge, desmond goes by miles mostly)
Inhaling a careful breath, Ezio pauses half a flight from their destination and Leonardo halts on the step above him, frown deepening in concern. “Ezio?” he prompts, when he still doesn’t say anything.
Ezio sighs. “We have thirteen recruits now,” he explains, turning to lean his back against the staircase wall; the cool temperature of the stone actually calms him somewhat and allows him to go on, “He’s been with us a few months, now.”
Tilting his head curiously, Leonardo bends closer to him. “I thought you had stopped recruiting for the time being.”
“I had.” Ezio rubs over his face quickly, such discomfort usually unsafe to display so openly — then again, Leonardo is hardly his enemy. “One of my discepoli, Adele, noticed him first.”
  “ ‘Noticed him’?”
“... In my defense, I was away on a long assignment.”
Leonardo just looks bewildered, an expression that’s usually quite amusing to see on the man, but Ezio can only cough awkwardly.
“He, ah, was here a week before anyone thought to question him.”
His old friend blinks slowly at him, Ezio can almost see the calculations happening in his mind, before his whole countenance brightens enough to make Ezio wince.
“You mean he infiltrated the Brotherhood? And nobody noticed?” he asks gleefully. “Oh, Ezio.”
Refusing to flush in embarrassment, Ezio crosses his arms with a humph. “As I said, I wasn’t in the hideout at the time. Geniuses some of my recruits may be, but they all thought I had sent him here. Adele was the one to notice he had previous training, and asked him where he had met me.” Letting out a long breath, Ezio does smile, just a little. “The whelp didn’t even deny having snuck in, ’said that this is where he wants to be and was tired of waiting for chance to put him in my path, or I in his.”
Leonardo laughs brightly, moving to rest against the wall across from Ezio. “And Machiavelli didn’t kill him immediately?”
“No, Valeria convinced them all to keep it quiet until I returned from my contract, the little hellions. She even used me as a meat shield when Niccolò finally found out.” Ezio loves his recruits to distraction, they’re his brothers and sisters and siblings and he would gladly die for any one of them. He would also like to never face down Machiavelli’s sword and rarely-used hidden blade ever again. Once was already in excess.
  “And the recruit?”
“Miles defended himself, of course. At least long enough for Niccolò to become intrigued by his skill.” He’s still testing the theory, but Ezio is fairly certain even the rank of millite is too low for him, though why Miles would be hiding his prowess is a concern all on its own.
Leonardo has known Ezio far too long, and far too well to not guess at his unsaid meaning, his lips tugging back into a thoughtful frown. “You think he was trained by another Assassin?”
“I’m not sure yet,” he admits with a sigh. “He certainly wasn’t trained by any of our branches.”
“Miles, Miles Miles,” Leonardo muses to the sloped ceiling. “Unusual name. Germanic? Or French, perhaps?”
Ezio had been considering contacting his brothers in Spain, despite being almost positive that Miles wasn’t trained by them; he hadn’t even considered the French branch. Actually, did the French branch even exist anymore? He thinks he recalls hearing of its decimation around the time of the Inquisition.
“There’s a thought,” he agrees slowly, rubbing his jaw. “I’d have to ask la Volpe or another older member about their fighting styles, I only ever crossed blades with Helene, and she hadn’t been an Assassin in many years by then.”
“Ah, Helene... Dufranc, was it? Yes, yes, the lovely rogue from Barcelona. ‘Mon petit Assassin’, if I recall correctly?”
Glowering, Ezio kicks his friend’s foot at the reminder of the nickname he only escaped upon return to Italy. Some of his Spanish brothers still tease him about it in their letters. “I regret ever telling you about that,” he grumbles, much to Leonardo’s amusement.
Though, he quickly sobers and meets Ezio’s eyes under his hood, pinning him there easily. “Why am I here, old friend?” he asks, softly, but leaving no room to wriggle out of the answer again.
He really isn’t making this easy, is he?
Ezio can only hold Leonardo’s gaze for a few moments more, before he has to look away. “Miles is a bastard from a Veneziana whore. He never met his father.” He needn’t look to know Leonardo gets it immediately, but Ezio still goes on, “My students aren’t nearly as subtle as they think they are, and I do not know if it would have occurred to me without their whispers.”
Leonardo understands this immediately, too. “Ah, does he not bear significant resemblance to you, then?”
Ezio shakes his head. “My recruits seem to think so, but I’m afraid I’ve gotten far too in my head about it and am no longer sure if what I see is simply what I want to see.”
“Oh, Ezio,” Leonardo sighs, standing straight to reach across the narrow space between them and put a hand on his shoulder. “I would be glad to meet him, old friend. Then, after, we will sort all this out, just as we always have.”
Despite himself, Ezio finds himself relieved by the comfort, and reaches up to squeeze Leonardo’s hand, before removing it and stepping away. “Thank you,” he murmurs, and nods to the bottom of the stairs. “Miles is usually sparring one of his brothers or sisters around now, come with me.”
“Or siblings,” Leonardo reminds him with a soft laugh, following at his heel.

Summary: Adam and Eve were inseparable, and they were always stronger together. Until they weren’t.
A/N - for July’s monthly codex prompt/ finally I post something 😅 on the last day of July
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Every Adam had his Eve, and they bright out the best of each other. But like all good things, it comes to an end with a hefty price.
Bayek created the Order in his grief, and though Aya was the closest to him in this matter, he never truly had her. She was never just his wife anymore after that day, and nights felt colder without her.
Altair thought he would have that semblance of a peaceful life with Adha, but that dream slipped away when she left his arms. At least it was a life he got to have with Maria and his beloved sons before it was taken away in just one day.
Ezio was young and reckless before his tragedy struck. With a family gone and the memories of sweet Christina shattered, the remaining Auditore son tried to pick up the pieces. For the longest time, he always felt the need to constantly look over his shoulder after one too many betrayals. He never realized it stopped when he was with Sofia.
Edward and Haytham thought their directions in life would lead them to better futures, but it felt so alone in the end. At least there was the sense of bittersweet relief for Connor as he remade the Brotherhood.
Desmond felt a kinship with Lucy, but it be-grieved him to let her go. But it was for the greater good, right? All just to save the world?

Crossover Universe Family Trees + more Lore!
It's finally done! :3 I decided to also add some backstories about my OCs (especially from TaE Family) bcs I'm sure there will be relationships that would give you questions (and you might have more questions anyway lol).
I apologize for the bad English and grammatical errors as always.
Enjoy! 💕
Explanations of icons and lines:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maud and Umar were in non-marital relationship since Al Mualim didn't allow assassins marriages. The only thing the master allowed them is give birth to a child who will become a future assassin. The birth was fatal for Maud and later Umar was executed by the Saracens.
Cyril and Rozália are in an unknown status since they left their daughter in an orphanage. It's still not known why they did it...
Tami and Jarrod dated for less than two years, then they broke up for losing passion in their love, but still remained as friends.
Altaïr and Adha were in a secret relationship. Once they escaped from the Holy Lands, Adha lost her life due to Templars and Altaïr unknowingly entered the Crossover Universe, that's how they got separated.
Altaïr blamed himself for Adha's death and decided he would never fall in love, but then he fell in love with Tami. Later they got married and had a daughter named Sabina.
Sabina in her teen years falls in love with a blacksmith boy named Pablo who has a shy younger brother named Rafael (yes, they are from Coral Island and I added them into Crossverse bcs why not? 😂).
Altaïr and Desmond are distant relatives (ancestor and descendant), despite both being from different AUs.
Desmond once hooked up with an unknown woman for one night and then she gave birth to Elijah. After the death of Elijah's mother, the boy decided to search for his biological father in an unknown world.
Tumblr media
All of them come from the alternate universe of Azeroth. The exceptions are Tarion, Tanisa and Relante, who were born in the Crossover Universe.
Maiev and Illidan were in a relationship before the War of the Ancients, but broke up when Illidan became more interested in Tyrande, who was actually more loyal to his twin brother Malfurion and also she adopted Shandris. When Illidan betrayed his kind and injured Jarod, Maiev's younger brother, Maiev became enraged and became a Warden since she was not allowed to kill him, but somewhere deep down in her heart she still loved him.
Almost 10, 000 years later Maiev unexpectedly became pregnant and had a daughter named Ellynina. Maiev knew that her daughter was also a Betrayer's, but she decided to keep it a secret from everyone, including her child. 300 years later, Illidan escaped from prison and the Wardens chased him all the way to Outland, while Ellynina remained in Azeroth.
Taino and Talar are twins and the sons of Daria Moonshade and Fehnaal Starfeather. Their parents were proud of Talar as a skilled warrior, while the Taino struggled with mastering druid magic and he studied history of Azeroth instead.
One day, their village was attacked by an orc clan called Warsong and they killed their mother. They managed to escape and survived the Battle of Mount Hyjal conflict, which unfortunately the night elves sacrificed their immortality to save Azeroth and stop the Burning Legion. And for that, Fehnaal fell ill and died (the same fate happened to Shalasyr, Jarod's wife, a few years later). After their father's death, the twins got wrinkles, which indicated that it was time to become independent and go out into the world.
Talidea was actually born as a human named Dea to Trisha and Cooper Snowart, who died during the Second War and Dea ended up in an orphanage. Life in the orphanage was hell for her. Later, she was placed in a foster family, but unfortunately it was the same. At age 20, Dea became an Adventurer and chose the Mage class like her mother.
Soon she met Ellynina for the first time and began to follow her because she had been fascinated by the Night Elves since they had joined the Alliance and started call her Elphina. Ellynina didn't like Dea at first, but as they traveled together they grew closer and became like sisters - the birth of DaE Duo (Dea and Elphina's Duo).
The pair managed to travel to Outland, where they found Maiev imprisoned. She revealed to Elphina that Illidan was her father, which angered Elphina that her mother had kept it a secret all her life and ran away. Dea cheered her up and they preferred to continue their journey. Even though Elphina was angry at Maiev, she hoped that they would meet again.
A few years later, the pair met Taino and Talar for the first time and became friends - renaming to DaE Squad. Dea had a crush on Taino, but she was ashamed of the fact that she was a human and he was a Night Elf, while Elphina was annoyed by Talar. Together they traveled to Northrend to fight the Lich King and his Scourge. In one battle on a snowy mountain against the undead, Taino and Dea were killed by an avalanche, leaving Elphina and Talar devastated, which actually brought them closer together.
The bodies of Taino and Dea were found by the death knights and taken to the Lich King. One necromancer experimented on Dea's body and turned her into a Night Elf and shortly after Taino and Dea (now as Talidea) were revived and became death knights under the Lich King's command. Taino changed his surname to Teron after the first death knight named Teron to forgot his previous life.
Although most death knights are emotionless and memoryless and always obey the Lich King at his word, surprisingly Taino and Talidea gradually regained their emotions and memories and resisted the Lich King's commands, even the two eventually fell in love. The Scourge was about to kill them for this, but luckily the pair managed to escape and were able to rejoin the Alliance. They also reunited with Elphina and Talar and together defeated the Lich King with the other adventurers. They then renamed themselves the TaE Squad (Talidea's and Elphina's Squad) and traveled across Azeroth to fight anything what threatens Azeroth.
But seven years later, Teldrassil, the world tree and main home of the Kaldorei, was set on fire by the Horde, which started the Fourth War. TaE Squad tried to escape from the fire using a boat, which was unfortunately hit by gunfire, they fell into the water and accepted their fate... Until they woke up on the beach of Cheetah's Valley. They decided to stop fighting and start again. Tarion was born first, and Tanisa and Relante three years later. At that time, they eventually renamed themselves TaE Family.
Few years later, Maiev somehow managed to get to the Crossover Universe to find her daughter and finally reunited with her. Even though they still had some misunderstandings from the past, they finally make up with each other.
Tumblr media
Elvan and Anja Nambinga had a daughter Nathalia together, and seven years later Emma was born, but Anja died during childbirth. After this tragedy, Nathalia began to hate her little sister. Elvan tried his best to take care of his daughters despite suffering from cancer which unfortunately after three years he lost the fight against.
Then the girls ended up in Gepardia's orphanage where Nathalia ditched Emma and later she was moved to Ashte'quel where she was adopted into a suitable family. Nevertheless, Nathalia regretted what she had done to her younger sister and hoped that one day they would meet again and she would say sorry.
The Hunter triplets were born at the Harmony Side's Laboratory in Fouria, where experiments were being conducted to find a vaccine against the Green Flu virus. They and their parents, Ranger and Lightear, are mutant Hunters and experiments. They developed immunity against all diseases, resembled closer to a human and even managed to enable human speech. But they were still aggressive and at times ruled by their instincts. Despite this, scientists wanted to create more medicines and vaccines from them. While the Hunters hated humans, on other side Hoody Boy (at the time named Subject GFEXH-27 by scientists) was fascinated by humans and even got along well with the two scientists.
When the triplets were nine years old, there was an accident in the laboratory, which the Infected and mutants took advantage of and escaped from the laboratory, killing hundreds of scientists and guards. The family and some experiments managed to get on the ship without the crew noticing, and it sailed to Havaykia. The ship was beached near Pecker's Hills when the crew eventually discovered the stowaways who had managed to escape into the mountains and after a long journey settled in an abandoned town now called the Infected's Refuge.
The family joined the pack of Hunters, where the triplets grew up. Unfortunately, Hoody Boy was bullied by the others for being the weakest of the group and was always protected by his two older brothers, Southy and Northy since they share a strong bond.
Once Hoody Boy was patrolling the territory and noticed a human woman with a child in her arms, who was surrounded with one Hunter. He pounced on his packmate so that the woman and child ran away. For that, the pack considered him a traitor and banished him from Infected's Refuge. His brothers and mother were devastated, while Ranger was ashamed that he was his father.
Ryland was adopted by Charger since many Hunters ditched him due to having Charger DNA like for example he couldn't pounce high. Charger taught him his abilities, which Ryland easily learned and became stronger than the average Hunter. When Ryland grew up, he left the Infected's Refuge and wandered the savanna. There he met Hoody Boy and both of them grew closer as they were outsiders of their kind, but once they split up when the Survivors attacked.
Hoody Boy ran to hide at the TaE Family's Ranch. Thinking that he would be dead, TaE Family saw him not as a monster, but as an abandoned person who needed help as they found out he can talk. Thanks to his story, the TaE Family changed their opinion about the Hunters to a positive one, that not all of them are evil and allowed him to join the family. Hoody Boy was happy that find his true "pack" and was given the real given name Vincent. Some time he met Ryland again, confessed his feelings for him and became mates.
After a few months Southy and Northy started missing their younger brother and decided to find him. They followed his tracks and scent and after a week managed to reach the TaE Family's Ranch. They were shocked that their brother lived with humans and night elves peacefully. Even though they didn't trust them, they still joined the family for their brother and were given the names Mike and Tyler.
After a while, Mike and Emma had a crush on each other regardless of being human and Hunter and later got married, Mike took the surname Nambinga. Together they had children, Jasmine and Blake, who surprisingly looked like normal humans, despite Hunter's genes.
The Hunter Brothers, the Infected, who regained the ability to speak but still relied on instinct. They used to live in the Infected's Refuge and found it boring there, so they left it and have been terrorizing anyone in their path ever since.
Tumblr media
Gavin was born to Rocco and Elisabeth Fishrod. At the age of four, his father cheated on his mother and the two divorced. Unfortunately, Elisabeth could not cope with the divorce, so she began to take alcohol and drugs and abused her son.
Soon the social workers took Gavin to Gepardia's orphanage and Elisabeth ended up in recovery. Since then, no one knows what happened to her. Meanwhile, Rocco lives in Greentree and is the best fisherman on the island. Maybe one day Gavin will meet him…
Takuya was born as the first son to Sugino and Rina Hidarihi. His parents couldn't handle him, because they were still young and inexperienced parents at that time, so they decided to go on a trip without their son, in fact, to abandoning him.
When Takuya got to Gepardia's Orphanage, his parents went to Oakheart City and later had a second son named Takara and loved him very much. Surely, one day, the first child will find them…
Tumblr media
Jarrod was born in Fortress of Red and Lennon and Clara were born in Mann Co. City.
Jarrod's parents, Esther and Jasper Fastrunner, divorced when he was six years old and his mother took care of him, but at the age of fourteen, Esther was murdered and his father recruited him into the RED Team, where he trained him to be a perfect mercenary.
Lennon, Jarrod's cousin, was raised by Linda Baseck. His father, Kelvin, was killed in battle before he was born. At the age of fifteen, Jasper came to his sister and convinced her to let Lennon go to the RED Team. With a heavy heart, she agreed and Lennon trained at the Fortress of Red with his cousin. Half a year passed since the start of training, Lennon received a letter that his mother died in a car accident and he was devastated.
Clara lived with her parents, Chloe and Evan Willow, who worked for the BLU Team. Before becoming a mercenary, she used to hang out with Lennon and they were best friends despite being from two opposing factions. But one day, when Clara came home from school, she found both her parents shot dead. Shortly after, Conall, who is her father's younger brother, found her. He took her under his wing and traveled with her to the Fortress of Blue where he began to train her.
Before dating Tami, Jarrod was in a relationship with Bianca McPrice. He met her while training and got so close that they started dating. They both were strong and dangerous duo, but unfortunately few years later she manipulated and mentally abused him, showing her real self.
Six years later, they entered the battle and fought for territories. Lennon and Clara met again on the battlefield and from then on secretly met every night until they fell in love and later would be married. No one knew about their meetings until one evening Jarrod followed Lennon and found him talking to a member of the rival team. He tried to convince his cousin that Clara was manipulating him to gain an advantage for her team. Fortunately, Lennon convinced him that it was not true and that he really loved Clara. Jarrod understood and promised not to tell anyone about their secret meetings.
Jarrod later found out that Conall was his mother's murderer and decided to hunt him down and kill him. But Conall told him the truth: he was actually hired to assassinate his mother by… his father… Jarrod fell into depression from the shock and betrayal and wondered what to do.
Clara later found out about this when Conall discovered that she had fallen in love with the enemy. She lost all respect for her uncle saying: "If you say I'm a traitor because I fell in love with an enemy from RED… So aren't you a traitor as well for cooperating with an enemy from RED and kill innocents?" and then she ran away to find Lennon and Jarrod.
Lennon found Jarrod in his depressed state and found out from him what Jasper had done. This infuriates him and they decide to confront him. Jasper realized he couldn't get away with it and confessed that he had Esther murdered because she wouldn't let Jarrod become a mercenary. But in addition, he said that he saw Lennon meeting Clara and the whole team already knows about it. Jarrod had enough, he shot his father with a scattergun and they both fled the RED base as fast as they could.
They met Clara who was fighting against Bianca. Jarrod yelled at his girlfriend to leave Clara alone, which Bianca realized Jarrod was also a traitor. Thankfully Clara managed to stun her into unconsciousness and the three of them ran away, towards a new beginning...

The Batter, the "original Purifier", may have been distantly or closely related to King Myron, as the two are almost alike, but this is unknown.
Cleanth is from the royal family of Pure Kingdom. King Myron and his wife queen Priscilla ditched him due to his curse. The only family member who cared about him was his older sister Luise who had an arranged marriage with Nixon and they had a son together named Reign who wanted to be king too soon. Cleanth was taken care of by the castle cleaners. Cleaning and cleanliness calmed him while his parents and others were mean to him.
One evening Cleanth as twenty-six years old was cleaning the fountain. Nixon took advantage of this and tried to drown him there, seeing him as competition for his future throne. To defend himself, Cleanth transformed into his monster form for the first time and accidentally threw Nixon into a rock, hitting his head hard on it and bleeding to death. When the royals found out and thought Cleanth had killed Nixon to claim the throne for himself and that he knew how to transform into a monster now, they exiled him from Pure Kingdom.
Cleanth sailed to the Mann Islands, where he could live in peace, but found that these islands were full of war and chaos. While traveling he met Jarrod, Lennon and Clara. He had never seen any other humanoid in his life, so he thought they were his kind, "colored Purifiers". The Scout Trio accepted him and found out about Havaykia, where there are no wars and all factions are at peace there.
But they were searched for by some RED Team members who knew about their betrayal and chased them. Cleanth turned into a monster again and killed them all. After the battle, Cleanth thought the Scouts would be afraid of him, so he wanted to leave, but they stopped him and thanked him, which warmed Cleanth's heart.
They finally managed to get to Mann Co. City, where they sailed to Havaykia from there. After a two-month voyage, they reached Gepardia and accepted a job at the TaE Family's Ranch, where it eventually became their permanent home.
Zacharie the Merchant is just there, chilling. Anyways, he travels around the island selling goods.

Beatrice and Monty own a farm where they grow the best crops and raise the best livestock. They are good friends and business partners of TaE Family. The two are happily married and have children Ezekiel and Tilly, who are also friends of the Hoodie Four.
Mayur was once married to a woman who left him and their daughter Naya for another man. So Mayur had to take care of his child alone even though he works as a cook. Fortunately, his daughter appreciates him very much for everything.
Naya, like the Palins siblings, is a friend of the Hoodie Four and loved going to their house. Then she and Ezekiel fell in love and later got engaged.

Ciara's Counsel - 07/22/2022
Unity Virtual Tour & Trivia
My AC podcaster friends - @estel-of-the-eyrie, Arsh, and Adha - are hosting another Assassin's Creed virtual tour & trivia session! To commemorate its celebration, we will be touring Paris in Unity tomorrow at 11:00am EST! Hope to see you there!
Tumblr media
Happy Fryeday - Trivia Time!
From the AC15 Syndicate Pub Crawl, Adha asked these trivia questions - how many can you get? (No cheating lol)
What is the name of the Templar Grand Master in London during the Victoria era?
What was the name of Edward Kenway's first wife?
Arno Dorian had a feud with two blacksmith brothers due to him stealing back an object that he had lost in a card game. What was this object? Bonus points: who were the two blacksmiths?
Shaun Hastings's first encounter with Desmond Miles wasn't very nice. Complete this quote from Shaun to Desmond: "It's not just databases, though. I also provide technical support for other Assassins. You know, Desmond, ..."
Who built the tunnels under Boston during the Revolutionary War era?
Phoibe gave Kassandra her wooden eagle during their farewell in Kephallonia. What was the name of this eagle?
Who killed the Grand Master of the Parisian Rite of the Templar Order, François de la Serre?
Who were the companions Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad during their retrieval of a Piece of Eden under Solomon's Temple?
Who is, in Bayek's eyes, Khemu's murderer?
How was Ezio and Cristina's first encounter?

even though my main ship IS altair and maria thorpe because I’ve just always loved those two to literal death, I am also very attracted to the fact that adha/altair means desmond is a literal descendant of christ and I also love altair/malik because you know it’s malik so I do believe the main solution here is a very non-heterosexual polygamy

What I wrote and plan on writing.
INFORMATIONS ON WHAT I WILL WRITE ABOUT UNDER THE CUT. WILL UPDATE IF NECESSARY.
Okay. I am now going to explain exactly what I plan on doing on tumblr: write an Assassin’s Creed/[PROTOTYPE]/InFamous: Second son story, with a lot of one-shots linked to the main story, one way or another. To read the stories, you just have to click on the bold, italic and highlighted titles at the start. Linked to the story, I already wrote:
Are you okay?, a one-shot establishing the relation between Arno and the three other assassins of Unity. This is the background of the three other assassins.
Fucked up shit, a one-shot that explains why Desmond and Alex know each other prior to the story.
Hey there, little one, a one-shot introducing an OC and explaining how Jacob and Jack met.
Who’s your wife?, a one-shot that seriously implies AltMal and Malik’s first reaction to Maria.
Cercando di flirtate con la signora, a one-shot where Ezio tries to get laid and a twist ending.
The Akomish boy, a one-shot that explains how Desmond and Delsin met during Desmond’s search for an Assassin hideout. Humor and newly formed friendship.
Fabien, a one-shot were Agape asks Thomas about his son, Fabien. Angsty fluff with a dash of romance.
WHAT THE F-, a flash-back on Alex and Desmond first meeting and putting the [PROTOTYPE] part of the conflict on set.
Neutral territory, a heavy spoil for The child of Izanami and Connor and Shay meeting in front of Haytham’s tombstone.
The child of Izanami, a multi-chaptered prologue telling the life of Chihiro Amokin, an assassin/Ninja in Japan during the Kamakura period.
Part 1: Chihiro, a ten years old little girl, ran away from her burned village before meeting the Asashin Grand Mistress, Leiko.
Part 2: each five years, the Shoshinsha of the Nihon Brotherhood must got through a challenge to gain the right to wield a Hidden Blade. Today is the day of the challenge.
Part 3: Chihiro get rid of a target, and you get the framing of the story: Kaori Ikarinoshi, her descendant, as been kidnapped by Abstergo as Subject 13 to relive her memories.
Other Stories I write:
Hopeless Order: An Assassin’s Creed/Danganronpa cross-over.
Prologue
Non-linked to the story:
It’s the last time I’m picking you up, a one-shot were Haytham is forced to pick up his son from a late night party.
New town, a x reader with Arno set in a modern AU.
Other things related to the story I plan on writing:
Main informations that does not spoil anything.
There will be time-travel shenanigans. Else, I don’t know how to write an Assassin’s creed fanfic.
Some oc’s. Nothing major, just for the backstory.
Unless specified, every one-shot I will write are a prequel to the thing.
Axeman (Edgard), Ice cream (Agape) and Green Coat (Thomas) are all real people and not just Arno’s palette swap. (<= I am bitter and will always be bitter over this.)
Concerning the ships, it will mainly mainly follows the canon, besides serious and heavy implications of AltMal and Shaytham because sue me.
I don’t write NSFW. I don’t know how to write NSFW. So, there will be no sexy times. Sorry.
However, there will be references to sexy time, lots and lots of swearing, shameless usage of google translate concerning foreign languages (but french because it’s the one language I master besides english), blood, body horror because Alex Mercer, maybe good actions scenes, angst that may or may not be well-written, and my horrible sense of humor.
I also have a lot of AU’s and other silly things that I want to write, but none of them will affect my big thing, nor will be as major. So, there is:
Multi-chaptered: Alex is a young psychiatrist who just got out of school and is engaged in a psychiatric institution (asylum) and needs to take care of the modern version of the playable characters in Assassin’s creed. It would be mainly angst and hurt/comfort, with a dash of humor here and there.
Drabbles: Alex, Desmond and Delsin are roommates. Self-explainatory Mainly humor.
Drabbles: Switches between Alex, Desmond and Delsin as Virus-Biomass thing, Assassin and Conduit. Will depend on how I decide to write it.
Drabbles: OTP PROMPTS. I HAVE SO MANY OTP’S. Nothing NSFW, tho. Romance, of course.
One-shot: A Modern!Assassin’s Creed Au were Arno, Edgard, Agape and Thomas are in a poly relationship. Romance and fluff will probably be what it’s composed of.
Multi-Chaptered: Altair (16), Ezio (13), Connor, Haytham, Edward (Triplets and 9) and Desmond (5) are siblings who live in a reclusive town. Their mother (Adha) keeps bringing shitty boyfriends home, and they can only hope of when Altair will be legally and adult and get them out of there. Shay (25) is the father of Arno (8) and Jacob and Evie (twins and 3), and is constantly moving due to Arno’s mother, who is a crazy bitch. When Shay decide that they will hide in a little town for the summer, he finds out that one of his childhood friend lives there. Said childhood friend is Adha. Hilarity ensues as their childrens decide to set them up together, for reasons way less hilarious than their means.
Multi-Chaptered: Dance!AU. The dance team of Muamara High, the Hashashins, is about to go for a serious competition against professionals due to one of the low-stand of their team who was given a solo dance, Altair, catching the eye of a Crawford Starrick, a high budget businessman. However, the captain of the team got jealous and expelled him out of the team. Left with only his best friend Malik for support, Altair convinces Starrick to let him perform even if he is not part of the Hashashins anymore. Starrick accepts at one condition: that Altair finds himself a competent team and fast. So of course, he chooses the son of a banker, a native boy with family and anger issues, a guy who’s probably met Blackbeard in a past life, an hopeless romantic and diametrically opposed twins to starts his team, with the washed out father of the Native as a sponsor and a man who got his will to live shattered back when he had their age for a coach. Yeah, this is going to be great. Or not. Humor and drama.
DRAGON AU. I don’t care if I make a one-shot, drabbles or a multi-chaptered thing. Just dragons.
As a thank you for Midnight-Skittles for giving me the idea, I decided to write an Assassin’s Creed/Danganronpa AU. Let the Despair begin!

The whole Desmond/Vega situation with Altair in EoAhas made me think of a time travel au where Altair keeps having romcom meet-cutes with people but literally all of them are Desmond in disguise
So Altair is going from having very few crushes in his lifetime to having multiple at once (unaware that they're all actually the same person) while Desmond is stuck wishing he had a computer to make a spreadsheet about which identity knows what about Altair so he doesn't let something slip that Altair told a different identity or info he got from the animus/bleeds
Oh my god.
This is so cute.
I think Altaïr would know it’s Desmond sooner or later, which would make Desmond’s spreadsheet quite a lost cause at that point but…
If it starts with Altaïr being a child, we can prolong the meet cute situations XD
So, in this one, it starts of with Altaïr as a child getting lost while he was joining his father in some kind of safe mission.
His first love was a child who saw him and helped him get back to the bureau, wearing clothes that were a bit too big for him.
The child’s hand was warm and he would squeeze Altaïr’s hand while he held it whenever he says “It’s going to be alright.”
And Altaïr didn’t understand why but he believed him.
Altaïr’s second love was a girl whose face he didn’t even see. Clad from head to toe in black robes with a niqab covering her face. All he could see was her eyes, clear light brown eyes that seemed to shimmer during the day.
This time, Altaïr wasn’t lost. He had just been taking a walk while waiting for his father to finish his mission. He saw her steal a piece of pomegranate from one of the stalls in the marketplace and tried to catch her.
Instead, he ended up sitting on the edge of one of the buildings as they shared the pomegranate, listening to her talk about how the merchant had been an ass who bullied other poorer merchants.
It was Adha who told him that what he felt wasn’t love but infatuation. Maybe even greed. He fell in love easily for people he will never see again. Altaïr hated her immediately, shouting at his father that he would never marry a girl like her. Adha scoffed and told her own father that she didn’t want to marry a boy who would fall in love so easily. Altaïr stormed off after his father tried to pretend he wasn’t taking Adha’s side. He bumped into him. His third love. Or the next target of his infatuation. No. That was Adha talking, not him.
He was a young boy, wearing a dark brown shemagh that covered half of his face. Altaïr’s eyes were enchanted by his eyes that reminded him of honey. The boy asked him if he was alright and Altaïr didn’t really want to talk about it. So… the boy gave him a piece of bread and told him to cheer up. His eyes wrinkled in a way that let Altaïr know he was smiling behind that shemagh.
And just like that, the boy was gone. Leaving Altaïr with a piece of bread that was still warm to the touch.
His fourth love was a street urchin who looked like a wet rodent. He had been out of Masyaf with the other recruits to observe the older Assassins perform their tasks in a busy city. The Assassin that had been assigned to him was a kind man with an easy smile. Abbas thought he was nice. Malik was as polite as ever.
And Altaïr was bored.
And it was because he wasn’t truly paying attention that he was swept by the crowd before the Assassin or the two other recruits with him could notice.
He was on his way to the bureau when he heard a crash. A child no older than he was had crashed onto a nearby stall that had been selling wine.
He quickly ran and shouted at Altaïr to run as well, just as the guards were catching up to him. Altaïr ran even though he shouldn’t have.
He wasn’t part of whatever was happening.
But his body moved on its own.
Once they were on the other side of the city, the child began to laugh. He didn’t ask why Altaïr agreed to run. He didn’t ask how Altaïr was able to keep up with him as they traversed the city, using their surrounding to gain the upper hand over the large armored men chasing after them.
“Here.” Altaïr caught whatever the child had thrown at him before he even realized what it was, “Take that as my apology for getting you mixed up in all these.”
Altaïr opened his hand.
It was a necklace of some kind with a small yellow gem.
“It matches your eyes.” The child said and Altaïr wished he would take off the fabric around his face so Altaïr could see his face.
Could see his smile.
“Take care on your way back, Altaïr.” The boy waved before he jumped off the window.
And Altaïr tried to remember when he had told him his name.

Submitted by @certainalpacawhispers:
So what if Desmond was sent back in Altair’s time but either it was planned (ISU bullshit) or it was a mistake (ISU bullshit), he was sent too early and Altair is like, a child. For some reason Desmond end up half raising or totally raising Altair. There is many way it can be maybe at first Umar is like “who tf is that grown unknown ass man staring at my child” but that unknown ass man seems to protect Altair ? I don’t know what relationship Desmond or Umar could have but Umar dies like in cannon cause Desmond can’t stop it (or maybe there’s another universe or he does) and now he just has a child ?
Or maybe Desmond just kidnap Altair once he comes back in time ?
I have no idea where this could begin or go, but I don’t think I have seen (except for one) any fic where Desmond come back in time and become some sort of father figure or mentor to Altair. The same could be said for any other AC protagonist. I would be curious to see what the hell would Desmond do ?
=====================================
Additions by teecup:
Desmond could start off as kinda like Umar’s strange informant and Umar knew that Desmond is hiding things but his information is always spot on so Umar never tried to press him for more. Altaïr meets him a few times when he accompanies his father during one of his ‘safer’ missions. Because there’s no way Desmond would go to Masyaf as it’s too risky to get Al Mualim’s attention and we need an excuse for Desmond and Altaïr to know one another.
With this, Altaïr would have an idea of how much Umar trusts Desmond, perhaps even think of Desmond as his uncle because of how nice and kind Desmond is to him. Maybe he’ll even spoil Altaïr every time he sees him and Umar just sighs and shakes his head softly.
It’s also during these times that Altaïr heard Desmond trying to warn Umar to not trust Al Mualim so blindly. To be careful and to-
Umar always stopped him. By the time he and Desmond met and developed whatever kind of relationship they had, Umar was already too loyal to Al Mualim that Desmond’s words fell on deaf ears.
But Altaïr remembered them.
So when Desmond appears inside his room the night of his father’s death, face pale as he kept apologizing for being too late, for not being there…
Altaïr embraces him tightly and begs him to stay.
And Desmond didn’t think.
Desmond took Altaïr away from Masyaf in the middle of the night without any real plans in mind.
Unorganized Notes:
You know what would be funny… if Adha was like Desmond’s daughter in this setup. And instead of an arranged marriage between her and Altaïr, she just nods and accepts that Altaïr is now her younger brother (“We’re the same age” “Shush. Listen to your big sister.”). She doesn’t even have to be Desmond’s biological daughter. She just happens to be a child that Desmond adopted and later found out was Altaïr’s Adha but, at that point, he’s already acting like the girl’s father to let her end up as what’s expected of her.
Altaïr would definitely have abandonment issues because he begged Umar to not leave him and that only transfers to Desmond as he grows older. As he grows up, he’ll also think that it’s Al Mualim’s fault that his father died and Desmond didn’t really stop him from thinking that.
Altaïr disappearance is considered one of the greatest mysteries of the Levantine Brotherhood. They’re still looking for him and Al Mualim is worried because he did care for Umar and Altaïr (even if his kind of care is a bit twisted by his desire for power and Altaïr’s gift of the Sight is definitely… a factor).
One of the greatest divergence with the canon on this setup is actually Ahmad Sofian’s survival. The night he tried to take his own life, he’s actually the one who noticed Altaïr’s disappearance. He believes that he cannot be forgiven until Altaïr returns to Masyaf so he’s actually the one who is trying to find Altaïr the most.
Of course, this only makes Abbas more or less jealous of Altaïr because it feels like Altaïr is more important to his father than his own son.
Altaïr doesn’t have any close friends in Masyaf so his disappearance doesn’t really affect anyone (other than Ahmad and Al Mualim) but everyone talks about it.
Altaïr grows up under Desmond’s tutelage which only makes him more deadly than he is as he is trained not just on his canon self’s style but Ezio’s and Ratonhnhaké:ton’s as well.
If Adha is included in this idea, they’re more like brother-and-sister with a bit of rivalry going on about who is their father’s top student. (It’s still Altaïr but Adha knows him enough to know which area to poke just to annoy him)
Altaïr’s arrogance and bluntness in this setting stems from Desmond’s weakness for him and his confidence in his own skills. It is also tempered by Desmond’s teachings and Altaïr doesn’t like to be scolded by him. His idea of the Creed is mostly what Desmond teaches it and he’s a model Assassin in almost everything… except…
Altaïr’s loyalty lies completely on Desmond, not to any Brotherhood or any Creed. This will definitely make him at odds with Malik when they clash but Altaïr doesn’t really care if his loyalty to Desmond is no different from Umar’s loyalty to Al Mualim. As far as Altaïr is concerned, the difference was his father chose the wrong master.
It is an ongoing headache for Desmond and he’s trying to get Altaïr to understand the importance of the Creed but Altaïr is a little shit who likes to use Desmond’s own explanation to get what he wants anyway.
Desmond’s technically a rogue Assassin and Altaïr is his acolyte. Although, by the time 1190 comes around, the two of them would be more like mentor and Master Assassin. His main mission is to keep the POEs away from both Templars and Assassins. Oh and to kick Al Mualim’s ass once he has enough evidence of his treachery.
They don’t acknowledge it but Desmond is supported by Alamut… mainly because they want Al Mualim kicked out as well but they can’t be seen as the ones who have done such a thing. A ‘third party’ like Desmond would be great, thanks.
Kadar still ends up heroworshipping Altaïr. Them’s the rules.

How about an actual eldritch horror god Desmond?
“There is something… hidden in the gray world that frightens me.” Kadar confided with his head lowered in shame.
Altaïr simply frowned at him as he asked, “What do you mean?”
“Don’t you feel it, Altaïr?” Kadar asked as he raised his head, eyes filled with fear as he stared at Altaïr, begging him to understand, “Like… there’s something… watching us.”
Altaïr tilted his head as he asked, “It might be because one of our brothers was also using their sights to-”
“No!” Kadar shook his head, hands trembling as he gripped the fabric of his robes tightly to stop himself, “It’s not… it’s not human… It feels… old. So much older than any of us… and…”
Kadar’s eyes were wide with fear as he whispered, “It’s watching us.”
“Don’t you feel it, Altaïr?”
“Don’t you feel it watching you?”
Altaïr was born with the sight. Using it to see the gray world had simply been natural to him. He simply did not understand what this… ‘hidden observer’ was that Kadar spoke of.
He knew others feel it too and he has heard their excuses of being too frightened to stay connected to the gray world for too long because of it.
Altaïr didn’t believe them. They were just making excuses about how short they could use their sight.
The idea that something was watching them was something they believe in because they keep hearing it from other people so they believe they could feel something watching them as well.
An endless spiral perpetuated by fear and shame.
Altaïr had no interest in being a part of it.
Until…
Malik returned, holding the treasure from underneath Solomon’s Temple with both of his arms blackened like charcoal.
Without Kadar.
Malik would not speak of it but everyone knew Kadar was dead.
And it was Altaïr’s fault.
Altaïr knew it was his mind playing tricks on him. His guilt had manifested into that feeling of being watched.
And it wasn’t just in the gray world…
He could feel something watching his every move.
He could feel him.
But Altaïr ignored him.
He wasn’t real.
He was simply a way for Altaïr’s mind to dig his guilt deeper inside him, to remind him that the entire Brotherhood was watching him.
Then he started to hear him…
“Altaïr…”
“My Altaïr…”
“My first…”
The voice was distinctly male. So soft that the first time Altaïr heard him, he had assumed he had imagined it.
But the voice became louder the nearer he was to Jerusalem.
When he stepped into Jerusalem, Altaïr wondered if he was being haunted.
Because softer that the man’s voice…
Were the voices of Adha and Kadar, whispering the same words as the man…
So Altaïr followed the voice, curiosity and wariness warring inside him.
“That's it… come… find me…”
Altaïr had thought the voice will lead him back underneath Solomon’s Temple where some say King Solomon had sealed the greatest threat to God’s sovereignty.
An old god.
Altaïr had never believed it, of course.
And he supposed it didn’t matter for the voice did not lead him back to the temple.
Instead, he was led to the bureau.
It was the middle of the day yet the bureau was completely dark.
Without thinking about it, Altaïr blinked, letting the world be washed in gray.
Only to stagger and close his eyes tightly when he saw a golden white light coming deeper inside the bureau, bright enough to burn his eyes. He took deep breaths as he slowly opened his eyes, taking solace in the darkness of the bureau.
“Altaïr. Are you alright?”
Altaïr turned to face where Malik’s voice had come from, brows furrowing when he could only see the silhouette of Malik’s form standing just on the other side of the door that leads deeper into the bureau.
“Malik, what…”
“Come.” Malik cut him off and turned around, his form disappearing into the shadows and leaving Altaïr with nothing more than his quiet footsteps that soon disappeared as well.
Altaïr rubbed his eyes.
“Altaïr… come…”
The voice was so close now.
And Altaïr was simply too curious to ignore him now.
So he walked deeper into the bureau. He saw nothing but darkness but he had been to this bureau many times that he already knew the way.
Not even the darkness could hinder him.
Deeper and deeper…
Until he reached the room at the very end of the hallway that seemed so much longer than Altaïr had remembered.
Where had Malik gone?
Altaïr didn’t know.
And he found himself no longer caring.
Not when he could hear…
“Come to me, my Altaïr… come…”
Altaïr didn’t even think about how the blinding light had come from the other side of this door.
He didn’t even think of how strange it was that the entire bureau was quiet.
Nothing mattered.
All that mattered was the creaking sound the door made as it slowly opened.
What mattered was the soft glowing lights surrounding the empty room.
No.
Not empty.
There was someone laying on the floor, in the middle of the room.
Altaïr’s breath hitched as he recognized who it was.
“Kadar?” Altaïr walked inside the room and the soft glowing light seemingly etched into the entire room pulsed at the timing of his footsteps.
“Altaïr…” Kadar’s mouth moved as he slowly turned to lie on his arms and knees yet the voice that came out of his mouth was not just his.
It was the man’s voice.
And Adha’s.
Altaïr knelt in front of Kadar, enthralled by the glowing golden white liquid that oozed from the back of Kadar’s head, dripping into the floor. The liquid continued to pool underneath Kadar, creating more of the soft glowing lines that was slowly enveloping the room.
“My Altaïr…” Adha’s voice seemed to call out to him, making him lean closer.
A cold hand touch his cheek and Altaïr could feel warmth spreading underneath his skin.
Warmth that soon turned to heat…
So painful it felt like he was burning from the inside.
Yet the pain seemed so far away.
All Altaïr could do was stare…
As eyes burning like the sun stared back at him, glowing white light pouring from Kadar’s eyes like blinding tears.
“You’ve come for me, my Altaïr…” Kadar’s voice whispered as lips curved into a grin that Altaïr had never seen Kadar do before.
“You’ll make me whole, won’t you?”
Altaïr’s lips moved on their own as golden lines begin to envelop him.
“Yes…”

Typical Desmond goes back in time after touching the eye but he turns into a ghost, kinda cool if he can change forms
I’m not sure what you mean by change form. Like… he can turn into ghost animals or he can turn into different dead people?
Or is this like he has a nearly transparent form that’s wearing his old clothes then he has his ‘dead form’ which is a ghostly visage of how his corpse looked after he died?
It could work regardless of which you pick, I guess?
You know what would be fun?
If we were going for the Ghost film ghost rules.
Only one person could see Desmond and that person isn’t his ancestor. So this means he has to coordinate and get the trust of another person to help his ancestor.
Possible Candidates:
Altaïr
Let’s be honest, the first person we thought of was Malik XD and it would be fun because Malik could believe that Desmond may or may not have been Altaïr’s dead twin brother and Malik ‘hates’ Altaïr but Desmond is sweet and nice and it’s clear he’s trying to do the right thing so… Malik has to suffer thru helping Altaïr for Desmond.
It would be fun if it was Kadar though. Like, Desmond does some kind of ghost thingie and that keeps Kadar alive, maybe they’re sharing the same life (kinda like Lydia and Captain from GBF), and since this is a Kadar who had died because of Altaïr’s rash decisions, Desmond needs to try and repair Kadar’s broken trust for Altaïr among other things.
Okay, hear me out. Adha is also a possible recipient. Hell, we don’t know what the fuck the Chalice thing was meant to be anyway so what if the whole Chalice thing was because Adha was the perfect ‘vessel’ for Desmond to connect to. Desmond doesn’t know who Adha is, not really, Altaïr’s memories about her that Desmond received were vague af so he’s flying blind and Adha thinks he’s some djinn with clairvoyance skills. She agrees to help because it was clear he was trying to help Altaïr and… Desmond is totally unsure how all of these would play out since he was helping Adha survive her inevitable death as well.
If you want to fuck with Desmond, Abbas is right there. Desmond would definitely have a hard time getting the cooperation of the person who hates Altaïr the most XD
Ezio
Petruccio would be the best ‘candidate’ of all of Ezio’s siblings. His fragile body could be connected to why he’s able to see and talk to Desmond (and just imagine the angst when Desmond believes that Petruccio could see him because he already has one foot in the grave). This idea would give us Desmond acting as an older brother and character development for Petruccio.
Wanna make it fun? Lucrezia Borgia would be a fun candidate. Make Desmond the only person who sees Lucrezia as something more than what her family wishes her to be which leads to her running away from the Borgias and becoming an Assassin under Desmond. Desmond did not plan for any of it. He was just trying to get Lucrezia to see reason and help him get in contact with Ezio XD
Ratonhnhaké:ton
Of course, Kaniehtí:io is on the top of the candidate list because we all want her to survive. We could even make Desmond appear to her after Ratonhnhaké:ton is conceived and he could act more like a friend and sorta ghostly parent to Ratonhnhaké:ton. Kaniehtí:io would still probably push Haytham away even if Desmond tries to stop her, asking him if he really thinks that Haytham, as he is right now, could change and let go of the darkness in his eyes. Desmond is unable to answer her because, as much as he wants to give Ratonhnhaké:ton a happier life, he personally doesn’t believe Haytham could change. He’s loyal to the Templar cause and Desmond shares Kaniehtí:io’s fear that letting Haytham stay would ‘corrupt’ Ratonhnhaké:ton.
Kanen'tó:kon would be a fun candidate and, with Desmond being there as his ‘ghostly advisor’, Desmond has a chance to stop the tragedy that would force Ratonhnhaké:ton to kill Kanen'tó:kon in self-defense. Also, depending on how young Desmond connects with Kanen'tó:kon, this might end with Kanen'tó:kon also becoming an Assassin.

pardon me if I am insensible with cold medicine but consider
in the thing I suggested where Desmond replaces Altaïr and ends up in Malik's arms as he grieves growing in place of (what he considers to be) a better man
imagine that
Altaïr
ends up reborn as Robert de Sablé
as in, Altaïr fully remembers his life, how it went without Desmond's interference
and then found himself being reborn as an enemy to the assassins
of course, when he gets to the Levant and learns there's still an eagle of masyaf, he has to assume that it's Robert, switched with him at birth
he can't say why this has happened, but he does know that he made mistakes in his first life, mistakes he is trying to rectify as a member of the Templar order
but of course he has to be wary of "Altaïr" aka Robert and whatever he's planning
could this all be an incredibly long game to get the Apple of Eden?
cue a LOT of Altaïr being sneaky and suspicious ans trying to strategize as Robert (and of course promoting Maria in the organization as soon as he could without tarnishing her reputation)
And Deamond just like wow i don't remember Robert being such a shifty fuck before, weird
Guess Altaïr just glossed over a lot of that in favor of fights
The Desmond replaced Altaïr comment from @twitcherpated (that’s in this post):
in the same vein as the other sad ideas I've been pitching, consider: Desmond gets reborn, Yew Branches style, not as someone in Altaïr's orbit but as Altaïr himself. He's guilty and depressed about replacing a man he can't live up to, but at least he takes comfort in Malik being around. He always liked him in Altaïr's memories, and now he has a chance to get close to him, spend time with him, think about him when he should be training--oh no.
One of the problems I think Altaïr would face with being reborn as Robert is his relationship with Maria. Maria doesn’t strike me as the type of person who would have a romantic relationship with her boss, she’s too much of an honorable person to do something like that. Their relationship would be strictly professional and Altaïr would forever miss his dear wife, of course, but he would know that the Maria who is working for him isn’t his wife.
Thinking she is would sully the memories of his wife and will be a great disservice to the Maria he has with him right now.
Whether they do get past that wall between them though is another question altogether.
The reason why I focused on this is because you wished for Maria to rise up the ranks and Altaïr would want that for her. He needs an ally he can trust completely in this den of snakes and he believes that Maria deserves recognition for her strength and chivalry.
BUT this is the 12th century and the Crusaders weren’t exactly known for being… ‘open-minded’ on this kind of thing.
The Crusaders would probably whisper behind their back how she slept her way to the top and other unflattering things about her. They’d ignore it, of course, but that meant that there will be many who would oppose Altaïr’s plans for reformation just because of his ‘treatment’ of Maria.
But the Templar Order though… now that’s another story. Altaïr taking on the mantle of the Grand Master of the Templar Order (shudder) would mean he has the chance of making the Templars more in line with de la Serre’s Templar faction in Unity and Maria will be his second in command. Those who are part of the Templar Order would definitely respect her.
As for Desmond…
Well…
Sure, Desmond is confused by Robert!Altaïr being a shifty fuck but just imagine Altaïr’s own confusion when he thinks Altaïr!Robert who is really Altaïr!Desmond being mostly a chill dude who obviously has a crush on Malik.
The horrific expression on Altaïr’s face when he sees that Malik feels the same way and the two idiots are being all lovey-dovey without even realizing it.
Altaïr wondering if all they needed to do to get Robert to be a chill more amicable dude was for him to fall in love. XD
===============================
Okay, crazier idea:
Man, you know what would be even funnier? If Altaïr was reborn as Robert de Sablé in the idea where Desmond was reborn as one of King Richard’s illegitimate brothers.
Like, just imagine Desmond’s confusion to why this Robert de Sablé is… more cooperative and seemed to support his push for reforms in the Templar Order that goes against everything that the Templar Order actually stands for. He’s even willing to kill the really bad ones like Garnier for Desmond and Desmond’s just “What the fuck is happening? Why is he so reasonable and nice. Is Robert de Sablé actually a good guy???”
Altaïr, on the other hand, actually thinks that Desmond is a real historical figure that got lost in time or never made a mark in history because he has assassins (no, not Assassins, just those pathetic killers for hire kind) hounding him almost every day and one of them killed Desmond too early. Altaïr had to get Maria to coordinate with him so someone is always with Desmond because the nobility definitely wants King Richard’s “fuck y’all, I’m gonna change this country for the people, not for the powerful” illegitimate brother (and Desmond doesn’t even know what he’s doing is affecting the country) dead before he poisons King Richard’s mind with all these talks of equality and whatever. Altaïr honestly believes that Desmond died in the original timeline (which is true BUT not in the year Altaïr assumes) and that keeping Desmond alive would be key to keeping everyone he cared for safe and ushering in a better future for everyone.
And then we can fuck this even more by making the current Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad be any of the following:
The real Robert de Sablé - this would be the most fucked up timeline because you know that Robert will have his own plans already in place and might even have taken Al Mualim’s place already by the time 1191 rolls around.
Lucy - It would be funny and Lucy would be trying so hard to keep the timeline in check and then she sees Desmond who is just happy to see Altaïr (not thinking he’s had Altaïr with him for years even before this) and she’s like “who the hell is this guy???”. Also, just Lucy suffering the entire time trying to be Altaïr XD
Elijah - “How can we make Desmond’s life more complicated with this idea?” Bring in the son he never knew who is also a Sage and who may or may not have an agenda of his own in this entire mess. They never interacted with one another in canon, sure, but Elijah knew his father was Desmond Miles so the potential drama and angst are there.
Ezio - … just imagine Desmond and Altaïr’s confusion when they meet the supposed Altaïr who turns out to be so charismatic and well-liked that the Assassins honestly believed him when he said ‘yeah, Al Mualim’s a bad dude’ and has been the mentor by the year 1190…

Submision by @saberamane
Something strange popped into my head while I’m at work. Desmond touches the eye, dies etc. Wakes up in Syndicate timeliness, but it’s not a case of he went back in time. It’s more of he went back in time on an adjacent timeline, and this timeline has soulmates.
Soulmates are known by a name on your body, and you know you found the correct person when you make direct skin contact. Desmond learns this because people kept side eyeing him, or more directly, the man’s name on his wrist.
Jacob Frye.
Of course, given the time, there’s period typical homophobia, so Desmond hides the name on his wrist as he researches what it means. Then he finds ‘Evie Frye’ somewhere else on his body.
His first thought is that he got matched with a married couple, and then he learns of the ‘Frye Twins’, Assassin’s in London, and he’s kinda weirded out. How do siblings share a soulmate?
So he concludes he is absolutely not getting mixed up with the Assassin’s and therefore his 'soulmates’, he doesn’t want to deal with that awkwardness.
Of course, fate doesn’t let Desmond get his way.
I’d feel after the storyline Evie would still choose to go to India with Greenie, because she still has genuine feelings for him, and Desmond would stay with Jacob.
=========================
Addition from teecup:
If you’d like, this could be a case of “Everyone has two names on their body. One for their romantic soulmate. The other is for their platonic soulmate. It is up to us to find out which name is which.”
Even if Desmond hears about that, he’ll still be wondering which is which but most people assume that the name ‘Evie Frye’ is meant to be his romantic soulmate while ‘Jacob Frye’ is probably a brother or cousin who this Evie and is meant to be his platonic soulmate.
Also, perhaps Evie has two names as well but she refuses to show either name. Neither of them is Henry Green but she still fell in love with him and decided to be with him even if their names do not match.
Then Henry reminded her that his real name is Jayadeep Mir and Evie realized that he was truly her soulmate.
Jacob is in a much more complicated spot. The names he got? Desmond Miles and Maxwell Roth. And, at some point, Jacob assumed Desmond is his platonic soulmate so when the whole Maxwell Roth thing happened…
Weeeelllllll…
Jacob’s soulmate business is just one big problematic mess, that’s for damn sure.
To add more ambiguity to the situation, we can make Desmond actually attracted to both Fryes and add in hints of Evie and Desmond having feelings for one another. With enough hints, we’ll have everyone wondering who is supposed to be the platonic soulmate and who is truly the romantic soulmate.
Mwuhahahaha.

I've been thinking of a 'little' plot bunny for a few weeks now after spending the last few months getting into AC fanfiction. It seems everyone mostly writes timetravel! fics with 2012 Desmond, like he gets sent back after touching the eye. My thoughts are, what would happen if 16 year old Desmond, with his fresh scar and having just run away, gets sent back in time, to Ezio's or Altair's era specifically, with no explanation on Desmond's part on how this happened, but with certain hazy memories from 2012 Desmond?
I'm thinking kinda like your 'Yew Branches' series, where he has vague idea's or understanding of things but no clear idea why. He'd definitely be confused, most likely paranoid, but also weirdly ok with the situation? Like if he's not only in another country, but another time, his dad DEFINITELY can't get to him. He can do his own thing. That just so happens to end up being becoming an assassin anyway.
If in Ezio's time, Maria and Giovanni would surely adopt him, I mean he is obviously from an assassin family, and probably been abused, there's no other reason he'd be so touch adverse, or why he was already so close to being a master assassin.
If in Altair's time, I could see him as being found by a Dai or Rafiq in a city, and they notice the resemblance to Altair, the mentor's up and coming young assassin, and suspect him to be a half brother or something and write to Masyaf about what to do.
And as for what 'vague' memories he'd have, I'd say probably some more assassin skills he hadn't learned yet, or just straight up technique Ezio or Altair use that is different from what Desmond was learning. And he'd definitely have the importance of December 21st, 2012 in his head, and that something called and 'Apple of Eden' was important and he needs to get it before anyone else.
Sorry for the long ask, but I just wanted your opinion on this plot bunny, how do you think desmond/altair/ezio would react?
Don't be sorry, nonny. I love asks no matter what length they may be.
Ooohhh, okay, so before we go to how this kind of plot could go, let’s finalize the limitations that Desmond would be facing since we are yanking a 16 year old Desmond who just ran away from the Farm
The limitations of the Bleeding Effect: will Desmond retain his ability to understand Arabic and Italian?
The limitation of his knowledge: how much does Desmond knows, specifically: would he even have an idea of what would happen in the 3rd Crusades or in Renaissance Italy in terms of both world history and the history of the Brotherhood?
Limitation: Language Barrier
Since we are letting Desmond keep a bit of his bleed in terms of skills and techniques but not the actual memories of his ancestors, it could go either way. Are we counting language as more of a skill than simple memories? In this case, I would suggest we go for Desmond not knowing the language. This would make Desmond feel more isolated and confused but this will also have a ‘good’ excuse for us later.
Limitation: Knowledge
Since we are removing Desmond’s memories from his Bleeds, he would have to rely on his own memories and knowledge (for now, anyway). And, considering his reaction when he heard he was going to relive Ezio Auditore’s memories, it’s clear that he didn’t know Ezio was one of the legendary Assassins. The same could probably be said about Altaïr. So his knowledge could probably be summarized as “Templars want to kill Assassins and they exist in this time period (3rd Crusades) or they might not exist in this time period? (Renaissance)”. Also, let’s remember that Desmond didn’t believe the Assassin vs Templar thing until he was kidnapped. He thought his parents and the Farm were hippies (or cultists).
Next: let’s talk about what other similarities each plot would have
Altaïr and Ezio will have the same age as Desmond at the start (16)
Desmond will be ‘pushed’ by the plot to meet them early on (this way we can develop some kind of bond between them)
Altaïr and Ezio would be the ones to help Desmond learn the language (for more bonding points)
With that out of the way, let’s now focus on what may happen:
==================================================
Altaïr: The Third Crusades
Al Mualim would definitely order that Desmond be sent to Masyaf and everyone would assume that Desmond is Altaïr’s half-brother. Most of them would believe that Umar had Desmond after Maud’s death, perhaps in a fit of grief and loneliness. There was a high possibility Umar didn’t even know he existed because Desmond would continue to say that he had parents and Umar wasn’t his father. Altaïr, on the other hand, would be… well… curious and hopeful at the same time. My hc is that Altaïr and Abbas had their falling out when they were 16 and that’s how Altaïr got his scar. And now, there was this boy who looked so similar to him and even had the same scar as him. He’s still hurting from Abbas’ hatred and anger so he clings to Desmond. Desmond, on the other hand, tries to keep his distance but he would see what Altaïr tries so desperately to hide.
The loneliness that has been wrapped around him ever since his father died.
Because Altaïr had always wanted to have a connection with someone. It would be years later that he would realize that what he wanted was to have a family that he could love and could show that love publicly… which was against Al Mualim’s teaching.
And Desmond…
Desmond wanted that same connection too. He couldn’t even feel that connection with his own parents so he tries to form a connection with Altaïr instead.
Now, the endgame of their connection would depend on what genre we’re going for. However, their relationship would definitely be more on the deeper side of codependency. Both of them are lonely children who has no one else and they clung to each other. That will only grow as they get older. This means that they would be protective of each other and there’s some jealousy involved even if it’s just Kadar asking help from Altaïr with his form or Malik helping Desmond with his chores. It’s the same kind of jealousy a child feels when someone plays with their favorite toy.
Now, here’s the snag we’ll get since we picked up a 16 year old Desmond. He doesn’t want to be an Assassin. Being an Assassin to him means pain and that feeling of being never enough. Not to mention, Altaïr would be at the top and Desmond would be compared to his ‘older brother’ the entire way. This would make it easier for Desmond and Kadar to bond, of course, but I think Altaïr would actually push for Desmond to be removed from training because he could see how much Desmond hates it (even if Desmond does retain some of his Bleed’s skills, his mentality is still that of a freshly ran away 16 year old).
In the case that Al Mualim allows it, Desmond would either become some kind of help, perhaps an errand boy or maybe a kitchen help, if he was still required to be in the castle. If not, Desmond would probably become some kind of apprentice in the village, like the apprentice of the blacksmith or the baker. Desmond would definitely be much happier being in the village but keeping him in the castle is more probable as it gives Al Mualim an easier time to keep an eye on him.
As for these vague memories from 2012!Desmond, let’s make it gradually. The older Desmond gets, the more hazy memories he gets when he dreams. And he tells all of this to Altaïr.
Things would still happen as they did in canon. And when the plot of AC1 is about to kick off, Desmond’s own vague memories are making him wary of Al Mualim. It finally breaks when Al Mualim stabs Altaïr after his failure and, I think, in this case… it won’t be surprising if Desmond tells Altaïr that they should run away. Why should they stay in a place that could easily kill them just because they failed? They don’t need anybody else. They have each other. That was enough. And Altaïr would agree to it because Desmond is the one who asks it.
So they plan their escape and they decide to steal Al Mualim’s treasure as a final ‘fuck you’ and as a way to get some money they can use to get out of Levant, to travel far away from Al Mualim’s reach.
And then Desmond touches the Apple of Eden.
The moment he touches the Apple…
He will have all of Desmond Miles’ memories.
(CLIFF HANGER!!!!)
==================================================
Ezio: Renaissance Italy
Okay, so, in general, this one would be more light hearted than Altaïr’s version for one specific reason: this will be a healthy family relationship.
Although, I don’t think the Auditores would adopt Desmond. At least, not officially, anyway.
I think they would take Desmond in as kind of their ward/servant.
Because they are nobles and it would look suspicious if they just adopted some random kid.
Not only that, by this time, Desmond is already 16 so adopting him officially would probably gain too much attention.
However, Desmond and Ezio are of the same age so they would naturally gravitate towards one another. Ezio’s carefreeness would attract Desmond because he wants that.
He wants to feel normal for once.
And Ezio has heard from his parents how they believe Desmond had been abused so he’d be kind to Desmond in the beginning.
Ezio’s kindness and Desmond’s desire for normalcity would transform into a bash-brother type of relationship between them. People would see Desmond as Ezio’s lackey/yes-man because he’s supposed to be a servant but anyone who was close to the family know that Desmond and Ezio are both dumbasses and Federico had to bail them out more than once.
This does mean that Desmond would know what it would be like to have a warm home and a happy loving family.
For a year.
Because Ezio lost his father and brothers when he was seventeen.
And Desmond would start to feel… uncomfortable and paranoid the nearer December gets.
It would come to a point that Desmond would feel a bit ill and be unable to help Ezio with his chores.
That day the guards would enter Palazzo Auditore and Desmond’s body would move on its own, helping Federico and Giovanni as they defended themselves.
Giovanni would recognize some of his moves. After all, the one who trained Ezio in the canon timeline was Giovanni’s brother, Mario Auditore. It’s only logical that many of Ezio’s moves that Desmond knows via his residue Bleeds would be familiar to Giovanni.
And Desmond wouldn’t have any answers for him. The fear on his face as he didn’t understand what was happening to him would be clear even to Giovanni and they had more pressing matters to take care of. Like finding Ezio and making sure he was safe.
Now, this is where the canon timelines diverges severely. Giovanni would be the one to meet Ulberti to give them proof of their innocence and he would recognize Rodrigo Borgia. The story can go either way by this point.
Giovanni dying will propel Ezio to seek revenge while Federico will be trained to take over Giovanni’s duties. Desmond would follow Ezio because, as much as he doesn’t want to be an Assassin, he wants to avenge Giovanni as well and he wants to keep Ezio safe.
Giovanni may live but he would be severely wounded and he would be the one to train Federico to take over his duties. Ezio would be left to be trained as an Assassin and be more like their ‘field agent’. Desmond would be reluctant but his worry for Ezio’s life would propel him to join Ezio as an Assassin.
Either way, Ezio and Desmond would be the ones to cripple and destroy the Italian Templar Rites.
And, in this scenario, Desmond wouldn’t touch the Apple at all. Ezio would be the only to touch it.
However…
Once Desmond hears…
“The rest is up to you, Desmond.” as Minerva turned to face him, Desmond will lose consciousness.
And wake up with all of Desmond Miles’ memories.
(CLIFF HANGER!!!!)
==================================================
Yup. Ending it there. Sorry. That’s as far as I got. (Honestly, nonny, if you don’t want Desmond to remember everything, that’s okay too. We can just cut that part out and Desmond only feels some connection with the Apple. That would work too.)
The main reason why Ezio and Desmond don’t get to be super codependent with one another like Altaïr and Desmond in this setup is because Ezio and Desmond have a support system and Desmond actually only has 1 year of peace with Ezio as shit hits the fan when Ezio was 17. On the other hand, Masyaf (and Al Mualim’s favoritism) will keep Altaïr and Desmond isolated from the others and they would have 10 years to deepen their bond before shit hits the fan. By the way, I call Desmond and Altaïr’s relationship as codependent but it’s not necessarily a negative thing… HOWEVER, it would be ssoooooo easy for it to be.
