Marl Young (1917-2009) was a self taught pianist who began working with Lucille and Desi in 1958 when he was hired to do arrangements for the Desilu Workshop. He would soon be hired as an assistant conductor. In 1962, Desi Arnaz asked Marl to play the piano for the studio audience warm-up band for 'The Lucy Show'. Later he would appear on camera when the scripts called for a piano player on 'Here's Lucy'.
