There's a weird sort of hypocrisy in farm sim games where you can catch and cook as many fish as you want (including ones that are critically endangered in real life) and kill the heck out of monsters in the obligatory combat minigame but you can't even eat your own livestock.

@casualcorvidsims asked abt my favorite not sims simulation games, and i, of course, decided i needed to go all out, lol.  so here is a list of simulation/management/gathering/crafting/sandbox-y games, or games that i just think a simmer would enjoy, lmfao.  idk they all felt like..... related, somehow.  pics are all mine, i used the 10 i had played most recently, but a more comprehensive list is under the read more.  bolds are super favs/games i’ve spent a lot of time on:

The Year 2022 in Review

I don't normally do a yearly reflection, but this seemed like a fun chance to do so 83c And indeed a good way to find potential ways to nerd out together~

Projects I am proud of completing:

Created some critters for a game project called Ondes that I'm working on with a friend 8)

Added several characters to my original character archive

Did blog maintenance~

Worked on tackling some anxiety problems! Still have a long way to go, but I got my first steps in

For the first time in three years, took a trip that involved being away from home for several days

Made new friends, and voice chatted with people I'd never voice chatted with before!

Smithsonian Oceanology (haven't read thoroughly. I just poke through at my own pace and read whatever catches my eye)

The closest I get to reading books aside from that is random articles on a wide range of topics that I just happen to come across
