AU where Kaladin gets to take a nap, however it needs to happen to get him a break
1 - Dalinar accidentally knocks out Kaladin with a door and because he had been nagging at him to please, just please, take a nap, no one believes that it was an accident.
2 - Honestly, Kaladin wouldn't have been knocked out cold if he hadn't been severely exhausted but do you think people are acknowledging that fact? No! His own sons are telling everyone that if you dodge on nap time, the Blackthorn himself will put you into a coma.
3 - Bridge Four burrito blankets Kaladin, transports him back to camp and there is always one man next to the sleeping order with order to knock Kaladin out again with a frying pan if the commander tries to leave his bed before the begs under his eyes disappear. Syl approves of this plan.
4 - Kaladin sleeps for three days. Well, technically, he did wake at some point but he saw Dalinar running after Renarin and Adolin and he decided he could sleep some more.
5 - The sheer gossip about that time Dalinar forced nap time on Kaladin finally dies down three years later only to Dalinar to accidentally do it again. He considers throwing himself into a coma just to escape his sons' mockery.

I recently saw a video of a deer with his rival's head hanging from his antlers and as an ancestral god he is ideal. 🦌

Hot take: seeing wildlife is actually cool and meaningful. Even when you see them every day and they're kind of a nuisance. Sharing the world with other creatures is a beautiful thing.
Maybe your problem with city dwellers is actually about something other than liking animals.

Ok So this one is for the Fae/Faerie kin that also identify as Therians or feel a connection with certain animals.
I've seen many Fae/Faerie kin who are also Therian, and I'll admit I have a connection to some animals myself and have been found to mimic their behaviors. However I don't remember living like an animal. Now it's possible that they are simply kin memories that have not yet surfaced, but I don't feel like that's the case. I can remember being said animals just not living as them. For example I would romp and play as a fox among other foxes but I did not survive the way they did. For me it was merely fun. Not unlike a child playing pretend. I feared no hunters and I did not need to hunt for food myself. And if ever I did hunt it was simply part of the game rather than survival. I know there are plenty of Fae that could and would change into the forms of animals, and as fun as messing with humans might be, I just don't think it was the only reason Fae would go about as animals. Which only furthers my belief that sometimes it was just for the pure fun of it. And I'd imagine that just as some people have favorite animals so too do some fae. I don't think it was always just a one time thing either. Fae can communicate with the natural world in ways most humans would only dream of, imagine just being that one deer in the herd that just disappears and reappears but after years and years of interaction the rest of the herd (while probably sensing that you are not quite a deer, no matter how much you may look like one), has also come to accept that you are not a danger to them. Perhaps over time you've kept an eye on this one herd and their descendants. steering them away from the occasional danger or leading them to the juiciest greenest hidden pastures. You become a kind of faerie god-deer (like faerie godmother). And after so much time acting like a deer, you find yourself slipping into the animalistic habits even when you're not taking the animal form. But you don't mind. Your experiences are part of you, it was only natural. And perhaps after a while you find that the courts and humanity are just not all that interesting to you. You think about the deer. Your deer. The herd you'd been watching, protecting, guiding. You start spending more and more time as a deer. It's fun, it's free and after a while most predators learn to keep their distance from your herd. You are still Fae but the deer is part of you now, perhaps just as important as the part of you that is Fae.
I'm curious are there any Fae/Faerie kin who resonate with this at all? Do you remember (if in fact you have any kin memories at all. Not everyone does. And there's nothing wrong with that 😊) being an animal living, surviving as an animal? Or, do you remember being interested and/or amused playing as an animal while all the time knowing that the other animals can sense that you are different? Does the Fae/Faerie kin side and the Therian side feel like two separate lives or do they feel almost blended? Do you remember being afraid when you were an animal or did you know that you had almost nothing to fear? That no matter what, you were a magical being that could charm, trick, or enchant your way out of most situations?
Please understand I'm not trying to invalidate anyone. As far as I'm concerned no one can tell someone who or what they are but them. If you resonate at all with this post it doesn't make you any more or less Fae/Faerie kin or Therian. In the end, only you can know who you are. I also write this post for the Fae/Faerie kin who don't quite feel Therian but find themselves acting in animalistic ways. Those that feel connection and memory but still just don't quite feel they are/were animals (at least not normal ones). Kins that feel like it was/is more play than survival but who still find it quite satisfying to shriek, bark, meow, growl, chirp, squawk, etc.
If you've read this far, then I appreciate you and may you have a most marvelous and magical day/night 😊🍀✨🌙🍄☀️👁️
Till next time

With all of the depictions of Cernunnos these days as this hulking, bearded, muscle-clad macho man who lives in the woods, it's very easy to forget that the single major depiction we have of him looks like this:
Tumblr media
Image description begin: The engravings on the Gundestrup Cauldron, depicting a male-ish figure with noodle arms holding a torc in the right hand (image left) and a snake in the left hand (image right). There are deer of some kind on the left side of the image, and some strange dogs on the right side of the image. End image description.
I mean...
Tumblr media
Image description begin: The same image, zoomed in to the face of the figure. The mouth is partially open, the eyes are looking slightly forward, and the nose is very flat. It overall looks very goofy. End image description.

I will be honest: I find the mental image of Forest God Sans in his true form really hot. 👉👈
I agree anon. I'm just saying... some people want tall guys, some people want short guys, I just have a preference! Is it so weird of me to want me a man who's not so much of a man & more of a huge ancient terrifyingly powerful forest beast who adores me in an incomprehensible manner and would hand-build a fairytale cottage in the woods like a bird adorning a pretty nest in the hopes of luring me into his arms where I'll be trapped forever??

I'm currently at home for spring break which means I don't have my altar or my Apollon pendant that I normally wear </3 BUT!!! when I was out on a walk today, I was reminded of an experience I had a few years back and I thought I'd share it. (TW: Mentions of weight loss n medical things!!!)
I've got a fair share of health issues, and 4ish years ago, I went back to a doctor to try to figure out what was wrong with my body. Like a week after the initial appointment, the doctor's office called, and I got told I needed to lose weight. they then prescribed me a medication with this purpose In mind (I never ended up taking it). This was something I heard all my life, but for some reason, this time hurt so much more.
Going on walks has always been comforting for me, so immediately after my mom and I got the phone call, I left to go hang out in the park. I've been going to this park literally my entire life. My grandpa would take me almost every morning when I was a kid, and during my senior year of high school, I went almost every day to just sit on this one fallen tree and look at the birds. I'm saying this as a way to say, that this was the first and last time something like this has happened.
There's a fork in the path, part of which continues through the park, and the other side leads into a nearby neighborhood. As I approach, see a deer just hanging out on the side of the path nearest to the houses. The deer was maybe 20ish feet away from me? It wasn't super close, but it was close enough. I also want to mention, that I didn't see any other deer around it, and looking back at the pictures I took, it didn't look super large or old. The deer immediately noticed me. I didn't want to disturb it, so I didn't move any closer, but we just stared at each other. Me and this deer made eye contact for a solid 45 seconds to a minute.
I remember just feeling so seen and understood in that moment. That even if everything was going to shit, and my body was falling apart, the universe understood my pain. I don't know if that was a moment of divine intervention or just the coincidence of a deer who just happened to be preparing for the coming winter, but I know that it provided me with more comfort my family, or my fleeting friends could at the time. And I think that was enough. I do sometimes look back and wonder who it could be, if It was Artemis, or Allah, or perhaps it was Apollo. But it was one of those situations, that wherever this deer came from didn't matter to me at the time. All that mattered was that I didn't feel alone.

Since seeing Amaryllis so protective of Iruma... Au where Iruma's parents summon her to sell their kid to instead?
This is such an excellent prompt, Pocket. We deserve Amaryllis adopting Iruma.
1 - So, Iruma still gets kidnapped by a demon and gets to panic about it (because I found it funny) but Amaryllis is "Yes, truly, I know it will be difficult for you to live in my big mansion, with all the yummy food you want, without you being expected to do anything for it or working in any way." and Iruma, who just got to spent two weeks on a tuna boat because yakuza are after him because of his parents' debt, is "You know what? Why not?"
2 - Well, Iruma isn't supposed to work but you can bet that when Amaryllis invites him to tea parties or wants him to wear specific clothes, he doesn't refuse.
3 - Iruma gets to be spoiled rotten in the demon world. His cousins love him. Alice doesn't because he doesn't understand where he comes from, why his mother is so fond of him, and let's be real, this boy had been an only child all of his life and he isn't ready to be a sibling.
4 - Amaryllis asks Iruma if he wants to go to school or if he would prefer to have a tutor at first to get used to the demon world. Iruma chooses to go to school and at first, Azz pretends not to know him... Right until someone messes with Iruma. Cue Azz being "No one messes with my sibling but me!" From that point, Azz and Iruma get along.
5 - I am toying with the idea of Sullivan being also in negotiation with Iruma's parents at the time and being very miffed that Amaryllis outbid him. Cue a better rivalry as to who would be the best parental figure (The Asmodeus siblings are ready to set the chairdemon's manor on fire to keep their soft and squishy new sibling.)

Sorry if this is a hot button topic, but also… I don’t really care. I’m tired of seeing her appear in my tags that have nothing to do with her. Believe what you want, I won’t stop you. Just don’t call her something that she isn’t.

Mun is the Náian God of Decay and Rot.
Created as a companion for the greater fae god Ort, Mun is often spotted by the ominous glow of Ort’s lamp that hangs from his horn. Náian tales warn of approaching Mun or any light in the woods, warning of being swept away to Nurí, the land of the Fae, on Mun’s decrepit back.
Despite his genuinely awful look (and smell), Mun is not a aggressive beast. As the god of rot and decay, Mun represents a inevitable stage of all life - returning back to the soil, to give life to something new. While Mun does truly have a formal cult or religion, followers or those who wish to pay their respect (out of fear or otherwise) are known to set up small shrines in the woods or leave offerings and the likes on the deceased and the decaying (plant and animal).
Mun will generally leave others alone, usually simply passing through and stretch woodland. When not accompanied by its master, they wander rather aimlessly, traveling the world with no direction and no particular goal or purpose. However, the Náian tales do not exist for no reason - when Mun has his rider, he is a sign of danger.
Mun will listen to Ort, often through a wordless link, without question and without fail. Its usual lazy amble and careless motions turn into a predator’s grace, and the jawbones that usually seem to just be matted loosely in its fur become readily capable of grabbing and tearing. Mun has carried many foolish or unsuspecting mortals to their deaths at his master’s orders, and he is rightfully a being to be weary of.
Besides Ort, Mun is known to allow Bróbh Boíg, the wood elf bard god, to ride on his back.
