It would be complicated enough as it is, but Dean and Cas have also been a couple for several years, hiding their relationship from the public and homophobia in the world of soccer while living in Europe away from their families. Can they make it through another season without cracking? Preview: “OFFSIDE?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN ‘OFFSIDE’?!” Castiel yells as the linesman waves his stupid little flag, indicating that the goal he just scored doesn’t actually count. It was a fucking magnificent goal- the ball was coming from Balt on the left side and Cas managed to get rid of three defenders on his own before he put the ball right into the top corner. A Novak special, if you will. “It means we have one more chance to beat your ass,” a voice he knows too well fake-whisper next to him. Castiel turns around and immediately slams into the body of his opponent of the day- Atletico Madrid’s number 11, the one and only Dean Winchester. “Fuck off,” he says as he and Dean size each other up, both of their forehead coming to rest against the other. Dean wears a black jersey, indicating that he’s not playing home today- despite the Santiago-Bernabéu stadium and the Metropolitano only being 15 minutes away from each other. Cas is wearing his favorite jersey- the white and gold one, his home jersey, sporting number 7. Winchester flashes a smile at him, one of those cocky ones that make Cas’ blood boil. But right before he does something about it, the referee is standing next to them and firmly pushes Dean off Cas. “Take a breather, you two, or I’m carding you both!” Cas trots away, still fuming, but not wanting to add on to the pile and potentially ruin the night by getting a red card. Half an hour later and the referee’s whistle signals the end of the game, with the win going to Cas’ adversaries. 1-2, Atletico takes the win. Winchester scored twice. Cas goes back to the dressing room angry at himself and the team. It’s only two hours later when Dean and Cas, back in the apartment they’ve been sharing for several years in downtown Madrid, settle their dispute on the counter of their kitchen. “I wanted to- ahh- punch you in the face,” Cas whines as Dean puts both of his legs on his shoulder, allowing him to hit that sweet spot right there inside of Cas. “Fuck, Dean-” “Yeah, you did?” Dean smiles, that same cocky smile he did on the field. “I wanted to kiss you so bad, shame the ref interrupted us honestly.” Cas can’t help the laugh that escapes him, right until it transforms into a whine because goddammit, Dean is too damn good at finding all the right moves to drive him crazy. The sound his cock makes as he pushes and pulls into Cas shouldn’t sound so hot, but neither should the way Cas can feel Dean’s heavy balls slap against his hole. “I swear if you don’t bend me in half and fuck me like a man already I’m going to go insane,” Cas snarls, right before Dean kisses him sloppily, all tongues and teeth. “Mhm, is that a request or an order, Novak?” Dean smiles against Cas’ lips as he pistons his hips faster into the warmth of Cas’ ass. “I wanna feel it when I train tomorrow- ah holy shit,” Cas whines as Dean complies, folding him in half over the table and letting his cock drag in and out of Cas’ puffy asshole. It barely takes them both a minute to come after that. Dean carries a half-asleep Cas to the shower and takes care of them both, before they head to bed. Together, like they’ve been doing for four years since they both came to Europe to play soccer. Together, but not for the camera, for which they’re both playing the game of being enemies that hate each other. But tonight, right before Cas falls asleep, the only thing he can feel is Dean, all warm and here against him. He brushes a kiss underneath Cas’ earlobe, that secret spot he loves so much, and hums an “I love you”, that Cas sleepily answers with a “me too” that barely sounds like something. It’s been their lives for the past four years. But Cas wonders if they have it in them to go on like this for a fifth.

It’s Switch Bang season! When I saw the description of Piper_Halliwell1979’s amazing fic ‘Bad Omega’, I was hooked. I started doing the art before claims even happened because I couldn’t not, so thank fuck I was able to nab the fic.

It’s a beautiful story that did not disappoint.

In fact, he almost forgets to greet her, and only the awareness that he should, that there’s something that he’s missed in his routine, jars his attention from the memory of Dean’s warmth, the way he guided Castiel back to his car with a hand on the small of Castiel’s back.

“Gathering nixies?” Amy asks when he pauses in his stride across the lobby, and he realizes from the bemusement in her expression that she must have called his name more than once.

“Don’t even joke about that,” Castiel warns. “You know that—”

“I know, I know,” she giggles. “I’m sorry. I couldn’t help it! The fact that one of your clients cursed his wife with nixies and then tried to claim that the cost of paying the summoner should be included as part of their settlement…”

Yes, there’s a reason why Castiel so rarely handles divorce cases anymore. “Don’t remind me,” he sighs. “How's Jacob?"

One of Amy’s three tails swishes proudly behind her, her smile back at him wide and showing only a hint of canine, even with as broad as her grin is. Amy’s very good at keeping the sharpness of her teeth softened behind her lips. "He's good! Hardly ever gets stuck in his little fox form anymore. Not like that day in court when you were representing us, huh?" she laughs.

The resilience of parents never fails to amaze him. Because frankly, on that day, Castiel was so stressed that he almost wished he had the ability to escape into another form while under stress.

Well, no, that’s not true at all. If Castiel had been born hengeyoukai, like Amy and Jacob Pond, he wouldn’t be himself, and if he’d been infected by lycovirus, he couldn’t be a lawyer.

(When he does occasionally misplace his tongue, he certainly has no excuse as cute as ‘I can’t talk because I just involuntarily turned into a small, nonverbal fox.’ He can just imagine what Judge Monroe would have to say about that.)

Dean jumps to fix all the problems. He’s got to find a boarder to afford the mortgage, attempt to micromanage his brother’s life from across the country, ignore Bobby’s imminent death, and contemplate getting an automotive repair certificate from the local community college.

There are just a couple of problems: he can’t control everything, Bobby’s not going to let him ignore reality, deciding to go back to school is harder than it seems, and his boarder is none other than his high school friend and crush, Cas, who is back in town to teach at the local elementary school and, apparently, turn Dean’s life upside down even more.

“This is your new best friend, Cas.” Dean stood up, groaning as his knees popped.

“That eager to replace yourself?” Cas laughed as he choked back a sob. “I mean… I don’t understand.”

“Dude. You’ve always wanted a dog. Inias wouldn’t let you have one. That asshole’s gone, and you mentioned last night that you didn’t want to be alone.” Dean rubbed the back of his neck as he smiled. “I figured, two birds, one stone.” He pointed into the apartment. “Can I come in? I got some stuff for you and your new girl.”

Cas stared a moment longer before nodding. “You didn’t have to do this, Dean.”

“Sure I did. You remember my parent’s neighbor, Missouri? Her dog had puppies, and they needed a good home. Everything lined up perfectly.” Dean bent down and grabbed a bag before walking inside. “I made sure to get you some food and some toys for her. She’s already housebroken, but I got you some pads, too, just in case. She is still a puppy, after all.”

“Dean…” Cas walked over to the sofa and sat down. His smile grew broader as his puppy followed and tried to jump on him again. He leaned down and picked her up, placing her in his lap as he scratched behind her ears. “I don’t know what to say.”

“Well, I mean, you can say ‘thank you,’ but it’s not really needed.” He reached into the bag, pulled out a small stuffed toy, and squeaked it, causing the puppy to bark excitedly. “She really liked this one in the store.”

“You keep saying ‘she.’ Didn’t you name her?”

Dean shook his head. “No. She’s your dog, Cas. I may have picked her, but she’s all yours.”

“It’s a miracle how everything just fell in place.” Cas felt the proverbial light bulb go off over his head. He scratched behind the pup's ears again and spoke to her. “Hey there, Miracle.”

“Interesting choice of name there.” Dean handed the toy to Cas, a smile on his face. “I’m glad I wasn’t entirely presumptuous when I got her. It was kind of a last-minute decision.”

“You got me a Miracle when I needed one, Dean. That says a lot about you.” Cas squeaked the toy, causing Miracle to yap and pounce at it. “While she doesn’t heal everything, she’s a very welcome balm.”

Summary: Four years ago, Dean graduated from high school and went full-time with his job at his godfather Bobby's auto shop. Two years ago, Dean's mom passed away, leaving him in charge of his younger brother Sam and the house. This summer, Dean realized he couldn't keep the house on his own, Sam went off to college, and Bobby dropped a bombshell: he's terminally ill and planning on leaving the auto shop to Dean. Dean jumps to fix all the problems. He's got to find a boarder to afford the mortgage, attempt to micromanage his brother's life from across the country, ignore Bobby's imminent death, and contemplate getting an automotive repair certificate from the local community college. There are just a couple of problems: he can't control everything, Bobby's not going to let him ignore reality, deciding to go back to school is harder than it seems, and his boarder is none other than his high school friend and crush, Cas, who is back in town to teach at the local elementary school and, apparently, turn Dean's life upside down even more. Preview: Bobby leans back in his swivel chair, crossing his arms. “I heard you found a tenant.” “Did Sam spill the beans?” “Yeah, he knows you don’t tell me anything these days.” “Bobby, there’s nothing to tell. You see me all day and otherwise I’m just at home.” “Or you’re inviting your high school crush to live with you.” “One, he answered the ad, I didn’t invite him. Two,” Dean swallows, “I did not have a crush on Cas in high school.” “You seemed awful sad when he went to prom with the Masters girl.” Bobby is grinning at him, and it’s incredibly frustrating. “That was four years ago, and I wasn’t sad about it.” “Right. Not sad at all.” Dean has been trying to forget that, yeah, okay, Bobby is right, he did have a crush on Cas in high school. But he had a crush on plenty of people in high school, right? Freshman year he dated Lisa Braden and then she dumped him right after homecoming, then there was the extended infatuation with Cassie Robinson, who went on exactly one date with him and said that their “life goals” weren’t compatible (they were sixteen, for chrissakes, but in retrospect she was probably right–she went to Harvard and Dean is a mechanic), and then… Okay, and then he had a crush on Cas for most of junior and senior year. But they spent a lot of time together, as two of the four advanced math students, and so it was probably just related to becoming friends. Cas was a nice guy. That, as far as Dean can tell after a few conversations, hasn’t changed. Besides, Meg Masters and Cas went to prom as friends. Cas told him so. “Look,” Dean finally says, “Can we just focus on work?”
