New batch of micros for my Star Wars AU! This time around, I've made characters from the Jedi Academy video game, specifically, Jaden Korr and his class of students. While Jaden is officially a human male, the game allows the player to choose the gender and species of their choice. As such, I opted to create a batch of OCs that are centered around the various options for Jaden in the game.
from left to right;
-Jaden Korr, Jedi prodigy and hero of the Disciples of Ragnos crisis.
-Dawn Syndulla-Jarrus, Twi'lek female, daughter of Kanan Jarrus and Hera Syndulla (my personal take on a popular Rebels fanbaby).
-Rosh Penin, Human male, rival who struggles with the temptations of the Dark Side.
-Ceres Marek, Human female, daughter of Starkiller and Juno Eclipse, aspiring Jedi Beast Master.
-Opol Nok, Kel Dor male, Jedi Shadow and apprentice to the Baran Do Sages.
-Raltheran, Rodian male, apprentice to Corran Horn and Jedi Investigator (actual canon character, appearance is random).
_Oiri Reshna, Zabrak female, strives to become a Jedi Weapon Master.
He saw the Twi'lek's cloak nearby, pinned beneath a heavy girder. She did leave me a souvenir, after all. With great effort, he pulled the metal aside. He took the garment into his hands and held it up. It was a good find, he thought, as he turned to stagger out of the alley. Because he was starting to believe she had never been there.
He stopped thinking that when he stepped out into the street—and found himself looking into her eyes.
"Ah," she said, seeing her cloak.
"Ah," he repeated. Kanan stood frozen, studying her under the bright light of the moon. She was shorter than he was, with deep green skin, full lips, and a chin that came to a pleasing point. She wore a gray pilot's hat that allowed exit for two head-tails that hung at a little more than shoulder-length. She wore a brown vest, gold-colored slacks with utility pockets, and black gloves that matched the cloak in her hands.
"I knew I'd forgotten something," she said, removing the garment from his hands so deftly he barely noticed she'd done it. Then she looked at him with concern. "You okay there?"
Early 20s Kanan is so funny to me. Like I understand that he's bitter and jaded because of the Order 66 trauma and how his life went after, but he's all "I enjoy being a loner. That's just me. I don't get close to people-- NOT BECAUSE IM TRUAMATIZED NO, I JUST LOVE BEING A LONE WOLF... yeah."
And I'm sitting here like sir. Sir over the next few years you are going to become the family-est family man there ever was. You are going to meet a beautiful, brilliant pilot who wants to overthrow the government, and you are going to fall head over heels. You are going to meet the pilot's insane Droid, and you are going to tolerate him. You are going to find a depressed former warrior mourning the loss of his people, and you're gonna say, "same bestie. Cmon, get up. Let's go steal from the Empire!" You are going to see a couple of spunky child runaways and orphans and go "ok guess I have kids now."
Additionally, I like how it parallels Ezra's "I work alone" stuff in early season 1. Kanan really saw Ezra and said, "God, this kid is as stupid as me! Hera, make room in the Ghost, we're adopting this rat."
My Kanera obsession continues this week with this gorgeous art by by @strige-art. I love every detail of this piece from the neon glow tot he fluttering trash, but the THIGH GRAB HAS ME IN A CHOKEHOLD. I AM LOOKING. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Also, I really gotta read A New Dawn.
