this was posted on my twitter, but i figured i may as well post it here:
i’ve opened a form for flash ffxiv wol/npc commissions!
(i was moving last week and furniture is so expensive … crying .)
you can find the form here and it includes a link to examples of my work as well as my terms of service and a description of my commission process.
these are not fcfs! i’m accepting requests until 7/13/22. when the form closes i’ll contact 3-4 people about their requests.

some very exciting news is that i got a house yesterday !!!! i’m still over the moon about it, and a little in shock since i’ve been trying for a full year with no luck...
the plot location is so cute and full of flowers !!!
the inside is still a work in progress... but i am v happy w it so far...

tell me about ur wol and urianger for the npc ask!
Etienne isn’t super close with many of the Scions as a general rule, and Urianger was, for a while, kind of on his shit list because of the hand he had in the events of ShB... To put it as vaguely as possible Etienne does not take being lied to well.
Since then, things have definitely improved! Urianger’s earnest apologies (over-apologies, even) made a difference, and they’ve become something like friends!
etienne and urianger also have some shared interests, namely historical literature and astromancy, that they occasionally enjoy lengthy (and nigh-incomprehensible to an outside ear) conversations about.

now that i’ve posted biscotte’s intro i get to share the names of all siblings :)
the children of house chevalier in order:
- croissaunte
- panininne
- biscotte
- pretselle
- briochette
croissaunte has a post as a knight in whitebrim front and panininne works at the chocobo proving grounds. pretselle is aiming for a place in the next scholasticate class and briochette has an apprenticeship with one of the bakers in the jeweled crozier… they all work very hard!

moogle quests are so good it’s very frustrating that the unlock quest chain is like, prohibitively long
i love that they’re pretty much the only clear example of an ishgard quest chain where the dzemael guy isn’t a villain, and the framing of it is especially interesting in tarresson concealing his identity to an extent BECAUSE of the reputation of his house…
it’s an exercise in redemption for him as a craftsman, too, because the failure of the dzemael darkhold (haha) is pretty heavily implied as the reason tarresson was pressured to step down as count… how wonderful for him that he gets to be part of a successful collaborative project! to be proud of something he helped create again!
when i played them the first time his lamentation of how he never encouraged his sons to pursue crafts over politics because of how focused he was on the ishgardian game really got me!! tarresson had a pretty big part in bringing me around on the dzemael family which is certainly funny in hindsight considering . the url of this blog
anyway moogle quests good. level your crafters and play them!

even if i hadn’t been “spoiled” on who he is ... from owning and reading the canon lorebook ... he is just so. yeah that’s a dzemael guy

Hello! You can call me Elliot or Clams. I use he/they pronouns. This is my FFXIV sideblog, my main is here.
I’ve been playing XIV since December of 2019 and I am currently caught up on content. I’ll do my best to tag spoilers as necessary!
I have characters on every NA data center. Not all of them are MSQ current but most are working towards it. The important ones are as follows:

I’m a regular fan of Ishgardians. As you may have guessed the Scholasticate questline occupies a huge part of my brain. Archombadin de Dzemael has a monopoly on my heart but I am also very fond of Estinien, Francel, and Crammevoix (among many others). If you ever want to chat Scholasticate or general Ishgard lore I am 100% here for it.
I also write a good amount of fic over here. Occasionally I take wol/npc writing commissions or art trades. My favorite npc/npc pairing is estimeric but I have a fondness for a few rarepairs here and there as well.
I’ve done some in-game RP and enjoy it but I am not a frequent RPer by any means. I do love to talk about my OCs, though! Most of them have bios on their Lodestone pages. Feel free to ask about them! :)

Lebrassoir, please!!!
Lebrassoir pursed his lips, which only added to their poutiness. “But tell me, what is your idea of the reason that we are not on better terms?”
Etienne tilted his head. “I was being rather disruptive in regards to your revenge scheme, was I not? And now I’ve, er, stepped into a vacancy you created, which I imagine does not help the situation...”
Lebrassoir rolled his eyes. “Oh, no, I did not like you from the very first.”
Etienne’s face contorted with shock. “Might I ask why?”
“I was jealous of you. Of your freedom.” Lebrassoir looked around, “Though I suppose what I had then was beyond luxurious in comparison to now. And the way Archombadin would look at you made me think that if you were not the Warrior of Light I would be so inclined as to arrange for your mysterious disappearance as well.”
The long and short of Etienne and Lebrassoir's relationship? It's complicated.
Things are about as strained as you might expect between the new/current boyfriend and the ex-boyfriend childhood best friend of less-than-amicable parting terms. (But don't get me started on how the lack of closure in Archombadin and Lebrassoir never actually dating is a million times more interesting and also makes everything worse.)
In public, both Etienne and Lebrassoir retain some semblance of cordiality, both aware of the other's significance to Archombadin, and relying on his relative obliviousness to keep the act up.
In private, their interactions are less than polite. Both of them keep an active tally of owed favors and make no pretense of their simmering resentment, or, to an extent, their mutual (somewhat misplaced) pity.
These interactions are limited by the nature of the fact that neither Etienne nor Lebrassoir enjoy them. If they did not have this one person terribly important person in their mutual acquaintance who holds them both in such special esteem, they'd just as soon never meet at all. Even without the large contributing factor to mutual dislike, their personalities were simply a poor match from the start.

one of my (many) favorite things about archombadin is that he should be considered very handsome by ishgardian standards (he’s max height and length 100 ears) but his personality is just so awful it immediately cancels out . unbelievably funny to me
