scent of the day: l'ombre dans l'eau EDP (diptyque)
deep green - the cool, humid dark underneath the dense foliage of a bush, broken stalks and crushed leaves exuding sap - and in the shade a white rose blooms, thorny and sharp-scented. i love rose scents, and the greenness of this composition brings out a wild, self-possessed aspect to the floral note. there is also a dash of citrus, like a bittersweet orange peel expressed over a cocktail.
l'ombre dans l'eau elegant, addictive, and it smells refined without a hint of heaviness. it's a good choice for when you want something refreshing and clean without being soapy. my sample vial was overfilled and it spilled all over my fingers and i didn't even mind, it is that good.

I was thinking about secret passages and whatnot, and thought about Zanado and those lines from Supreme Leader when she visits it :
The area was covered in ruins, each more curious than the last.
They did not match the architectural style of any era or culture within the Empire. Or across all of Fódlan, for that matter.
That can only mean one thing...
The valley's civilization must have flourished and fallen in the distant past, long before the Empire was established.
Who do you think lived there?
Billy can reply with three choices.
Saying "our ancestors" doesn't raise points with her.
But the other two answers, "a culture since long perished" and "subterraneans beings" give support points and those lines :
Heh, it's possible they weren't even human.

Bar the, I'm sure, unintended rl parallel with people who used to think some monuments were too advanced to have been made by humans (especially non europeans) and Supreme Leader coming from an imperialist nation - it's the first mention of "non humans" she has, and she pushes the sekrit illumanity theory :
Hmm, perhaps their remnants still influence this world...
Compare the JP and ENG audio :
in both versions she laughs and is, idk, happy when she says they weren't human
but in the ENG dub, she keeps the same joyful tone when she talks about them still influencing the world, when it's pretty different in the jp version!
In the JP version she sounds way more subdued/ominous as if she's sharing a conspiracy theory, instead of having the lighter "haha no way, right...?" tone from the eng dub.
Anyways,
We know Supreme Leader has odd support times, and a common theory is about her trying to convince Billy to join her cause. So, was she just making a random guess here... or was she talking about Nabateans/Agarthans and trying to influence Billy?
And yet, as she's talking about them...
She explicitely mentionned how their civilisation has "fallen", so her entire spiel about how "the world doesn't need Gods Rhea (because I know the Goddess is called Sothis so you're not the Goddess but Hubert mixed my papers so I'm not really coherent, but he told me no one will care about it)" is even harsher - the world doesn't need Nabateans, and the Nabatean's home is no more, as she knows from the visit to Zanado.
It's even harsher in the jp version :
人が自ら立ち、支え合うこの世界に、
神の居場所はない
Supreme Leader basically says Rhea has no place in this world - while knowing Rhea's former place in the world (Zanado) is no more, so...
If she has no place to live in, she just has to die, right?

A la base, le Nexus VI, ce sont des chroniques qui parlent de science-fiction (livres, films, séries, jeux vidéos) racontées par le capitaine d’un vaisseau spatial en 2294. C’est une mise en abyme, des histoires dans une histoire, c’est Shéhérazade et le sultan, mais dans l’espace et le futur.
Petit à petit, le niveau a augmenté, le format s’est allongé, la qualité est devenue phénoménale, la partie fiction est devenue une vraie série, la partie chronique culturelle a gagné en intelligence et en finesse...
Aujourd’hui, le Nexus VI est le summum de la qualité du YouTube game français. Réalisation, effets spéciaux, écriture, montage, décors, costumes, maquillage, musique, TOUT est contrôlé et perfectionné.
Ils mériteraient vraiment d’être plus connus, soutenus, partagés.
Alors si vous aimez la science-fiction, la qualité, les artistes français réellement talentueux et indépendants, foncez, vous ne le regretterez pas.
Et pour ceux qui connaissent déjà et adorent, venez patientez impatiemment avec moi la sortie de l’épisode IX !!! Raaaaaaaaah, les premières images ont l”air époustouflantes !!!
