Choosing the right bong for your needs can really enhance your smoking experience. However this can be a challenge for new smokers or those who are accustomed to rolling their own smoke. Although it may appear that all bongs are the same, there are many difference that can alter your smoking experience. Size Doesn't Matter

Most people assume that the bigger the bong, the better. This couldn't be farther from the truth. While tall and large bongs provide extra filtration and cooling, it will also give you a big hit that new smokers may not find enjoyable. Smaller bongs are often called "flavor savers" as they maintain the flavor profile if your smoke. Smaller bongs are also great for portability and travel use. The corona virus has shaken the world with it's rapid spread across the globe in the past month and with the growing concern of infection it has affected the daily lives of nearly everyone on this planet.

But it is not all doom and gloom if we can all take preventative measures to protect ourselves, friends, and loved ones from the virus.

Here are a few tips that every smoker can implement to help stop the spread, decrease your risk of infection, and a few general tips to help you get through unscathed.

Clean the mouthpiece of your bong and handpipe after every use.

Those nasty viruses can live on surfaces for up to 90 hours! Lysol wipe the mouthpiece to kill and sanitize it. This will also leave your piece smelling nice when you or your friend use it again. No one wants to smoke out of a smelly dirty bong or pipe.

Heat up the mouthpiece of the bong, joint, blunt, or handpipe first if you are sharing it.

Smoking is at many times a social experience. We all love to pass around blunts and bongs when we are together enjoying our favorite smoke. Heat up the mouthpiece of the hand pipe, bong, or the butt of the joint/blunt first before bringing to your mouth. Use the lighter and put the flame to the mouthpiece for a few seconds to kill any potential viruses or contaminants that may be on the surface.

Make Edibles or Teas

Lets face it, inhaling any kind of smoke or vapor is not healthy for your lungs in the long run. If you are concerned about the health of your lungs and don't want to compromise your lungs ability to fight off a viral infection then making edibles or teas would be the next best thing to smoking. There are thousands of recipes for edibles that you can find with a quick Google search. Baking and then getting baked is always fun!

Stock Up On Your Favorite Munchies Early

If the virus does start to spread without signs of slowing down you can bet your local supermarket, 7-11, and Costcos are going to get hammered with people trying to buy the essentials. Your favorite munchies may sell out quickly and you may not be able to buy them for days or even weeks if the supply chain gets disrupted. In this event, stock up on some of your favorite munchies (and don't forget other essentials like lighters, papers, booze) early as you would want to decrease the amount of times you need to go out for supplies to mitigate exposure.

If you take a huge rip or dab and need to cough, please cover your cough.

We all know that one person who loves to take huge rips or dabs and then proceeds to cough their lungs out. If you are that person or know someone, it would be best to cover your cough as a courtesy to others.

Limit Your Travel Plans

If things do get really bad then any kind of travel would be far too dangerous. Instead, you can get really stoned and travel to your destination of choice through Youtube, Netflix, Prime or perhaps to another dimension if you get super stoned enough! Edibles may help with this!

CBD to boost your Immune System?

It is widely seen in research that CBD is effective in treating autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis but can it help boost your immune health? There is speculation among researches that support this claim. New Data Suggests Most Cannabis Users Prefer to Consume at Night

New data from an online retailer suggests that most cannabis users in the United States are consuming their herb at night. Using information from more than 100,000 Twitter posts from the last month including time of day and geotagging data, online head shop DankGeek determined that most states are lighting up in the evening hours.

Dave S., the owner and operator of DankGeek, told High Times that the project began as a way to create a blog post that would bring traffic to the website and boost their ranking in search engine results. Working with a firm that uses social media posts to identify trends and create relevant internet content, DankGeek learned from tweets about using marijuana that more than 80 percent of states were waiting until after the traditional 4:20 p.m. smoking time to light up. Only two states, Tennessee and Minnesota, were using cannabis promptly at 4:20, and just seven were sparking up earlier than that. Nevada jumped the gun by only 10 minutes, with tweets about using pot trending at 4:10.

The data indicated that the rest of the 41 states were most comfortable taking their hits later in the afternoon or even late at night. Tweets from Arizonans and Texans indicated that they were waiting the latest to imbibe, with the most popular time for those states coming in at 11:50 and 11:30, respectively. Smokers in Kentucky, Idaho, and Florida also waited until at least 11 pm to enjoy their herb.

States That Prefer to Wake and Bake Also Revealed

Dave said that he was surprised to see a cluster of northern states—Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, and South Dakota—that were all lighting up by 8:10 in the morning.

“Those four state, they’re all very early tokers. So I thought, ‘alright, that’s the wake and bake area’,” he said.

Dave theorized that perhaps the climate at that latitude was responsible for the early morning cannabis use in those states.

“Maybe it’s because it’s so cold, they need something to warm up,” he added.

Two more states also showed a proclivity for the wake and bake sesh. Bong hits were being lit in South Carolina at 7:50 a.m., to be followed by stoners in Arkansas just 10 minutes later.

Dave said that the blog post written about the analysis of tweets related to marijuana did its job and successfully garnered attention and traffic for the website. However, he later decided that the article might run afoul of restrictions prohibiting the sale of drug paraphernalia.

“Anytime you put a direct reference to the words THC, marijuana, cannabis, that’s a big no-no,” Dave said. “So we had to quickly remove that from our blog.”
