One For All, chapter two
In an AU where the protagonist never fell from the sky, the Survey Corps will have to pull together and make use of every resource at their disposal to face the challenges present in Pokemon: Legends Arceus. There will be surveyshipping.
I expect this story to last three or four chapters- nothing super long or complicated this time.
---
When Cyllene returned to camp, not long before sundown, it was safe to say that the mission had been an unmitigated success. More research subjects had been recovered that day than in any prior week of the Survey Corps' existence, and Laventon would be writing new pokédex entries for days.
"It's beginning to look like the Survey Corps will pull through," Cyllene stated as she stepped into the encampment and looked around at the various specimens- everything from mushroom beetles to living rocks- and at the people interacting with them. Laventon was taking footprint sketches of a rodent-like creature. Rei was stroking the muzzle of a flaming pony. "Survey Corps," she called, turning everyone's attention to her. "You have done well. It is time to pack up and return to the village. Tomorrow the real work begins."
So it did. The next morning, the Survey Corps reported to Cyllene's office. Now that the Survey Corps members had calmed down somewhat about the prospect of being disbandment and Cyllene was somewhat more confident that they could avoid it, Cyllene was able to reveal their circumstances.
"Kamado has given us three weeks to prove our worth. We're going to use that time to map out every corner of the Obsidian Fieldlands- resources, useful trails, the Pokémon that inhabit it, and perhaps even Pokémon that would be useful to take as guides. I began mapping out Windswept Run yesterday to give you an idea of what I expect. All of you but Laventon and myself will be assigned an area to map. If we prove to Kamado that we can do it once, then he'll allow us to do it for every area in Hisui."
The corps accepted their orders and filed out in way that reminded Laventon of loyal soldiers.
"And what about us?" Laventon asked.
"Desk work. Study the specimens and work on the pokédex. I want to see its updates on my desk at the end of every day. It will be the most important resource for the field guide."
"Alrighty, then. Let's get to it!"
Cyllene gave him a stiff nod, and Laventon returned to his conjoined office.
A few hours later, Cyllene knocked on the doorframe.
Laventon looked up from entries he was writing.
"Yes?"
"I'm mapping out the horseshoe plains. Do you have any information on the temperament of ponyta? Are they aggressive? Territorial?"
"I'm afraid I wouldn't know. We have a form of them in Galar, but not ones on fire! Their temperament very well could be entirely different from the ones I know."
"Understood. It will be something to ask the other survey corps members to investigate. And soon, we'll have to have a meeting to discuss the knowledge you gathered on your travels and in Galar."
"You know, you can just ask me about my travels! You don't need to feign a reason."
Cyllene looked away. "...Noted. But I am serious about putting your prior knowledge to work."
Days passed. Cyllene often popped in to ask about the abilities and temperaments of various Pokémon. Far from being a disruption, Laventon relished an opportunity to talk about his discoveries. He'd enjoyed the research he'd done throughout the years regardless of who he could share it with or what he thought its impact would be, but he'd never felt the direct impact of his studies so strongly before! And he did notice when Cyllene asked questions out of interest rather than necessity.
The three weeks came to an end, and the Obsidian Fieldlands guide was, if not complete, at least viable.
"I think will prove our worth," Cyllene said as she and Laventon gave the guide one last look over. The next day, it was to be delivered to Kamado's office, and the fate of the Survey Corps would be decided.
"I do hope so," Laventon said. "Do you want me to stay behind? I know that Kamado doesn't exactly, erm..." Laventon let himself trail off. Cyllene would know what he meant. Kamado was suspicious of outsiders. It was just who he was.
Cyllene paused and weighed their options. "No," she decided. "Avoiding him will only mean that nothing will change."
Strange lightening from the rift arced through the sky that night. But by now, Cyllene and Laventon were used to the unstable time-space of Hisui.
The following afternoon, the two made their way to Kamado's office to find clan leaders Adaman and Irida already there, the latter looking quite distressed.
"What's going on?" Cyllene asked.
Adaman gave Irida a scornful look. "Apparently the Pearl Clan doesn't take the time to look after its nobles and now it's causing a mess."
Irida's teeth clenched. "This has nothing to do with us! We might have no idea what happened to it or what to do about it, but neither do you!"
Kamado sighed and faced Cyllene. "The Pearl Clan's noble kleavor is rampaging. It seems to be afflicted with a supernatural frenzy. And neither the Pearl Clan nor the Diamond Clan want to kill the something sacred to them or sacred to a clan they have an unsteady alliance with." He turned back to the clan leaders. "You need an impartial third party to kill the rampaging beast? Very well. We'll send the Security Corps to kill it."
Irida clasped her hands over her mouth. "Kill it? It's not its fault that whatever this is is happening to it! And it's spent its life making the forests safer for us. We don't want it dead."
"Very well. I suppose we could have the Survey Corps scout out an alternative." Kamado looked to Cyllene. "You have your orders. I'll look over your guide as well, but if you are able to find an alternate solution to the frenzied noble, you will have proven the Survey Corps' worth beyond doubt."
"Understood," Cyllene said. The Survey Corps was gathered and marched to Pearl Clan territory within the hour.
-
Within the Grandtree Arena, Lord Kleavor raged. Bathed in gold light and filled with pain and energy, it dashed about, running into trees and rocks and thrashing its heavy axes- axes that were still wet from its last victim's blood.
"Release the spores," Cyllene commanded from the edge of the Grandtree Arena. Her staravia, along with the bird Pokémon of the two survey corps members at her side, each took a paras in their talons and flew over the rampaging lord, dusting it with sleep powders and stun spores in hopes of rendering it immobile. It barely seemed to slow the creature down.
"Plan B," Cyllene yelled. She and the other members returned their Pokémon. Cyllene then threw out her kadabra, which set up reflect- a shield that would hopefully allow them to get close enough to the kleavor to stop it.
The three members slid down the rockface and began throwing balms at kleavor. It took immediate notice and rammed itself towards them only to bounce off of the reflect shield. It rammed again and the shield began to crack.
"Backup!" Cyllene called out, still throwing balms along with her allies. Another three Survey Corps members slid down the opposing side of the rock face. There wasn't much they could do aside from throw balms as well.
With a third smash, the reflect broke. The survey crops members scattered. The six regrouped and Cyllene's kadabra put up another reflect. This time, the kleavor smacked into it head-first and fell backwards, dazed. Rei took out his dartrix to distract it with a battle as the other members threw balms. Finally, the golden glow lifted off the kleavor, leaving a normally-coloured and much calmer creature.
"That was close," Rei said.
"Yes," Cyllene conceded. "We'll have to strategize a bit more should there be another situation like this."
The Pokémon approached the six and handed them a strange green-coloured plate. Rei took it. He hardly had time to contemplate it, however, as Irida, Lian, and Laventon approached. he tucked it into his bag and turned his attention to the approaching people.
"What was that?" Irida asked. "It seems like Lord Kleavor lost its aggression when the light left it. So the lightening from the rift really is the cause of all this... At any rate, thank you. Without you, our only options would have been to let our lord and protector continue to be a danger or to-" Irida looked over to her lord and shook her head. "Thank you."
"No need," replied Cyllene, "It is to everyone's benefit that we keep Hisui a safe place for everyone, and that we avoid conflicts between you and the Diamond clan. There is a way that you can repay us, however."
"And what is that?" Irida said.
"The Pearl Clan has lived here for generations. You have knowledge of the Pokémon here that we don't. Share it with us. It may even help us in any further incidents such as this."
"Oh! Sure. Gladly."
"See me in my office tomorrow morning. We have much to discuss."
With that, the Survey Corps started back for camp and then Jubilife.
"Excellent work today," Laventon said, hurrying to the front of the line to catch up with Cyllene. "I took as many photos as I could of your conflict. If this doesn't show Jubilife Village that we're doing Hisui a service, well, nothing will!"
"Yes," Cyllene stated. "There will be much to discuss with Kamado tonight on a possible alliance with the Pearl Clan. Such a discussion would be incomplete without the leaders of essentially every Corps- agriculture, gathering, security, and potentially medical since a full overlap of our medical knowledge is unlikely. But our worth is proven. I'll be sure to let Kamado know that you were the one to come up with the balms."
"Wonderful! That will warm him right up to me! At least, I do hope it does."
"Indeed."
-
Basculegion motored towards the shore of Ginko Landing, stopped sharply, and launched the riding Laventon onto shore, leaving him to wipe out face-first in the sand.
"Oof..." Iscan said, approaching Laventon and helping him up. "I hope that handling the frenzied noble went a bit smoother than that."
Laventon got up and dusted himself off as basculegion headed back to Firespit Island to retrieve his fellow Survey Corps members. "It certainly did!" he assured Iscan. "My commander even approved that I lead this mission, since our usual captain was out sick. I wasn't the one doing the fighting or the planning, but I did have a few Pokemon and some guidance to contribute."
"It sounds like you're on your way up, then... Is there anything we can do to repay you?"
"Well..." Laventon said, his face beginning to flush as he thought of the Security Corps couple he'd met the previous day. "There is a reason that I asked to be brought back first. There's this friend of mine that I think fancies me. But she's kept me at such a distance that until recently, I thought there was some unspoken rule against dating someone from your corps. Do you think I should say something? What with you and Palina, I thought you'd be the one to ask."
"Hm... Absolutely. I mean, Palina and I made it work even though we're forbidden from seeing each other. If she hadn't spoken up... well, we'd both still be pining and putting up walls. Even if the answer is 'no,' or 'yes, but let's not pursue it,' it's better to know, I think."
Laventon thought that over. By now he knew that there were a few people- namely Kamado and Zisu- that Cyllene wasn't entirely aloof with. And both he and Cyllene seemed to want him on that list. Maybe once they'd talked about it, he could be. And if not, he'd at least know to give up trying. "Yes, I think you're right!" he said.
-
The next day, Laventon asked Cyllene to finally have that talk with him about his travels. While waiting for her at their planned meeting place at the Wallflower, Laventon took a moment to appreciate the changes that had come upon Jubilife since his arrival. The occasional harmless Pokémon roamed the streets now, as they had in other lands he visited. And where there were once only the sounds of people training in the training grounds, there were now animalistic cries as well, now that the Security Corps and the Survey Corps had embraced Pokémon as a means of defence. Given the direction she was coming from, that may have been where Cyllene was coming from.
"I brought a surprise," Laventon said as Cyllene sat down.
"Oh?"
"Close your eyes," Laventon said.
Cyllene obeyed. Laventon took a wurmple out of a ball and onto his hand.
"Alright, open up."
Cyllene opened her eyes and immediately tensed. "Is there a reason for this?" she demanded, eyes focused on the bug. Laventon hesitated, and Cyllene took a careful scooch back, trying to balance between keeping the appearance of composure and keeping away from that thing.
"Well, it's... ready to evolve, and you said just recently that you'd never seen an evolution before your kadabra. I thought you might want to watch another. It's certainly a different experience than just reading about it in reports! Is there something wrong with that?"
Cyllene's nervous eyes were still on the bug. "We had those in Hoenn. They feed on our crops and on the intestines of anyone unlucky enough to contract one. All research on them should be done in the field. Not here."
"What...? With respect, captain, that's nonsense. Wurmple are insectitarians. They eat the eggs and larva of other species. That's probably why you see them around plants other bugs like to eat, and in unsanitary places that cause disease. Wurmple are harmless as they come."
Cyllene relaxed. Not entirely, but somewhat. "I... see."
"Shall we watch it evolve, then?" Laventon asked as the worm crawled up onto his neck like a scarf.
"...Let's take this to my quarters."
And so, they did. Laventon had never been in Cyllene’s quarters before. He didn’t know what he expected, but a room overflowing with indoor plants wasn’t it. There were more herbs, flowers, berries, and vegetables in there than there was paperwork in her office, and that was saying something. Cyllene moved a couple planters out of the way and led Laventon to a table. She cast a sour look at the worm and hesitantly gave it a pet. When the two were seated, Cyllene gave Laventon a stiff nod.
Laventon took the worm off his neck and passed on the nod. A sparkling flash of transformation later, the worm had turned into a cacoon- a white one, thankfully- Laventon couldn't have a toxic moth around so many well-tended plants and still have Cyllene as a friend afterward. Another flash, and the cacoon had turned into a beautiful beautifly.
"Hm. That was indeed more of an experience than reading about evolution in reports," Cyllene admitted, twitching as the beautifly began to inspect her face with its trunk. "Laventon," she said, her voice betraying a little fear. "Put it away."
Laventon chuckled and returned the creature. "You gave it your best effort."
Cyllene flushed.
"You would have hated Alola. It's just crawling with bug types! There were quite a few areas where we had to wear nets to gather specimens. Not that it wasn't worth it! It's a warm and beautiful place, some of my favourite memories come from there!"
“That’s where rowlet came from, correct? Mind if I ask about the others?”
“Not at all, so long as I can ask a few questions myself."
"Very well. We'll take turns."
"Alrighty then! So, what was your life like before Hisui?"
"I'd rather not say."
That made Laventon feel pretty stupid. She was a swordswoman from Hoenn. Chances were she'd been in the war. "Ah. Okay. Well, then, how did you manage to track an abra? They certainly aren't an easy species to track, even injured ones."
"I didn't find it by tracking. But I do think you'll be interested in its story. It was shortly after the first time-space distortion opened. We didn't know what they were at the time and had closed our walls in fear of it. A visitor from another region had locked himself outside, chasing after an injured Pokémon. And thank goodness for that visitor."
At this point, kadabra floated over and, despite nearly being Cyllene's size and barely fitting, curled up on her lap.
"I led the Security Corps to investigate the distortion and search for the visitor. He joined up with us for a while, but ran off again. After Pokémon. It was frustrating. But then a Pokémon he knew in childhood saved his life. I understood then that understanding Pokémon would help make Hisui hospitable, so I ordered that we take back a few that had been injured by the distortion. It cost us almost nothing, pleased our visitor, and gave me a small opportunity to know Pokémon better than I had. It’s from that event that I decided to create the Survey Corps. The injured Pokémon included Abra. It simply never left me after that."
“Well, then thank goodness for that visitor,” Laventon said, stroking the kadabra.
“Where did you get Cyndiquill?”
Laventon’s heart rate picked up. Somehow it seemed a bad idea to let her know he’d worked for Jhoto during wartime. Not for anything military-related, but still! “Well, I, er- I hardly remember! I take on a lot of research subjects, after all!”
Cyllene gave him a blank look that told him that he seemed a lot more suspicious than he would have liked. "Fair enough. Your turn."
"Well, if it's not too personal... is there a Mr. Cyllene?"
"No. I will focus on that once the nobles are quelled and the Survey Corps takes less of my time. Perhaps I'll be with someone from the Security Corps, or division that has little to do with ours, such as agriculture."
"Ah, I see. No time to seek someone out. Well, um, captain..." Laventon stroked the kadabra again and let his hand find Cyllene's. "What if there was no need to do any seeking?"
Cyllene took her hand away. "No, Laventon. That isn't a good idea."
"Oh. Okay. Friends, then. Right?"
Cyllene hesitated. It occurred to Laventon that she might find even that too familiar for a close co-worker. "...Friends," she conceded.
Months passed. Lands were explored, one more noble was quelled, and an alliance was formed with the Diamond Clan. Meanwhile, time-space became increasingly unstable, and the rift in the sky grew ever-wider.

TW: MENTION OF LOSING A LIMB/GORE MENTION please be advised.
Hello! I have a prompt where, the reader pushes there lover (warden Ingo, cyllene, laventon, adaman SEPARATE) away from an Alpha Pokemon attack and then get seriously injured (like losing a limb or something) and them crying and telling us off on how we could have died or grieving our death.
(both surviving and dying endings please)
Oh yes delicious angst! 👀
Cw: almost losing a limb/losing a limb, reader death, mourning, depression, angst no happy end.
Reader becoming severely injured or dying saving them.
Tumblr media
Warden Ingo
(Close call)
Ingo carried you, blood staining his coat and your outfit. He carried you going as fast as he humanly could down until the nearest doctor, anyone who could help—screaming for help, keeping you warm, and losing more blood in any way he could. When you finally wake up, Ingo is out of breath and on the verge of tears. He holds you close, tight, and protective. He couldn't get mad at you. He could never be mad. He was just relieved you were all right. However I would be lying if I said he wouldn't be a little more protective from now on.
(reader dead)
He stared at a shaky palm, remembering the way you went slack in his arms, bags under his eyes from sleepless nights filled with new and old nightmares. The painful feeling of losing something was so painful; however, what scared him more was that this feeling was familiar to him. The emptiness inside him was only doubled after. He can't even look at himself anymore because whatever stares back is your smiling face and deja vu. Even though he knows he must take care of himself, he has to admit it's hard even to bring himself to eat these days without looking over to your smiling face how he misses you're warmth in his arms. Now, all he feels is the cold, howling wind of Coronet Heights. Once again that loneliness fills him in this time; it will be there till his grave. Ingo cannot love again for he can not feel that love again.
Cyllene
(close call)
Survivors guilt, as you lie there on the ground losing blood at an alarming rate. She's frozen. She's almost in denial as other survey members rush to your limb body. Cyllene finally snaps out of it all. Her panic hits her all at once, barking orders to get you back to camp.
Unfortunately Pesselle running low on supplies and with time running out she wasn't sure she would be able to save you. Upon hearing this Revelation something inside her stoked a fire Cyllene took it upon herself to go out and find every single ingredients she needed helping her nurse you back to health, of course you being unconscious from blood loss for a few days you had no idea all you woke up to was an angry rant from a very very pissed captain.
(Death)
After all she did, she couldn't save you. Sadness and rage bubble into one, gritting her teeth, nails scratching at the cold ground; she wants to scream. Damn it why wasn't it her? Damn, it should have been her! The job of the Galaxy Core was to protect people and she couldn't even protect the one person she cared most. She needed to get stronger she needed to be more so this would never happen again. And that's why her heart grows three times colder that day.
Laventon
(close call)
Laventon drag you outside of Camp to look at some Pokemon well he asks you to ready your pokeballs for a catch, but he doesn't notice the alpha Garchomp that had their eyes on you. Everything was a blur then helplessly sitting still as the rest of Team Galaxy tried everything to use your Pokemon to fight the alpha back off as they get you back to safety. If only he could throw a Pokeball if he were good at raising Pokemon. Laventon felt like a burden to you here he was having you risk his life to do his work any friendly wake up he's on the verge of tears holding you closely his hands shaking the sinking feeling of uselessness does not leave.
(Death)
He drowns himself in his work. It is the only way to make him forget about his constant nightmares of that day. He still loves Pokemon. He does not blame Pokemon for taking your life, but he recognizes more than anyone else that Pokemon are as dangerous as they are fascinating. It'll be a while since he touches one without his heart beating with anxiety. He barely eats. He sleeps. All he does is work on his Pokedex. He has to finish it for your sake, or else all the dangerous work you did, the work you died for, will be for nothing, and when he finally finishes, it will say, "With the help of my beloved, thank you. I will miss you."
Adaman
(close call)
If it wasn't for Leafeon who growled at the large Pokemon making sure it didn't take a step closer as his human brother held you in his arms, blood staining his fingers. Leafeon successfully holding back the Pokemon that threatened your life walks over to Adaman whining as he looks your arm giving him a worried look. Adaman knows the natural remedies around these parts you are too far from the settlement and the village to take care of you so he does all that he can using leafeon's aromatherapy to soothe you as he begins to use natural herbs and revenues to calm the bleeding as much as he can while ripping apart his own clothes for makeshift bandages rumoring through your bag for anything he could use anything at all to help.
Upon waking up, Adaman almost tackles you, holding you close to his body, careful not to hurt you. He squeezes you gently. "You're an idiot..." he whispers, his hand shaking, his voice breaking. "don't you ever scare me like that again."
(death)
If only he was faster and in denial at the fact that your time has ended. If only he hadn't wasted his time, he could have gotten you to the settlement, and you would have been here. He felt like a failure, not only a failure of a friend but a failure of the leader of Diamond Clan. If he couldn't keep one person he loved alive, how could he keep his entire Clan alive? Time is truly short. However, some people, if unlucky, can be even shorter. He'll spend all his days morning into training, getting stronger in your name until he has passed out on the ground. He knows that he's just wasting his time and that no amount of tears will bring you back. He did not deserve you; you did not serve your time being robbed. The Lord Sinnoh is so cruel.

In the self aware AU, if some characters can mess around with the code, can Player (in the real world) change PLA to their liking as well? Would it be similar to modding a game then? Now that I think about it, in any self aware game AU, if the player were to install mods in a game, would the characters see them as some kind of creator god? (Imagine being some random npc and seeing someone changing the colors of the landscape or spawning a shiny out of nowhere...Volo's reaction though...)
That’s actually an interesting idea!! I have seen a few mods for PLA, such as some graphics mods, and I saw one for Sneasler’s climbing speed. I imagine there’s been a bunch more since I last looked! So if in the Self Aware Au, Reader mods the game, it has so much potential here. Much like Ingo, Reader would know the code incredibly well, or at least know how to read it, and what each line means to some degree. So like, if you do mod the game. It probably only instills in their mind that you are in fact a god. Even if you don’t ever end up in the game, the fact you can just,,, do these things kinda cements it. Reader: *Mods shiny Arceus into the game* :D Volo: What the fuck
Expect him desperately trying to get your attention first. Anyone who can manipulate Arceus has to be the true god. He’s horrified to know him and his people have been worshiping a false one. Well, maybe not entirely false. Arceus still may have made this universe, but what is Arceus to someone who can control them like a toy? He’ll be frothing at the mouth though trying to figure you out, and how to get your attention. Anytime he tries, it’s as if there’s binding around him, keeping him from interacting with you or your vessel. That’s fine though, he won’t be deterred. Maybe he should ask Ingo about those numbers he mentions seeing... The other NPCs are now nervous though. Some revere you in awe, others respectfully keep their distance. Laventon is curious about you. You change things right before their eyes! You don’t seem malicious either, and seem determined to keep your vessel, the hero, safe. He’s probably the least wary of you, and is excited to learn more about you! Maybe he can convince the others that you aren’t an bad god, and maybe worshiping you isn’t a bad thing? After all, you just seem happy to create things! Ingo is also curious about you. You seem attached to him, and love to battle him. You don’t seem like an evil god, though he isn’t sure if that’s what the should refer to you as. You obviously like creating things, even summoning shiny pokemon out of nowhere, and battling him with them! You can’t be so bad, right? After all, you just seem to be messing with the numbers he sometimes sees when he closes his eyes... Cyllene is curious, but very wary of you. She honestly would fear you if you didn’t show such compassion through the hero. Surely, someone who cares for the child like they are their own, isn’t so bad? And it isn’t like you’ve done anything awful, either. You just seem content messing with the world in small ways, and adjusting how a few things look and work. You haven’t destroyed anything, and some stuff is arguably better. Still, she is unaware of what your true motives are. She’ll stick to herself for now.

Everybody is submitting requests so I might do one as well 😅
In pokemon ranger guardian signs when you learn their respective signs you're able to summon and ride on raikou, suicune and entei (raikou can jump great distances, suicune can run on water and entei is able to destroy massive boulders in its way) so I'm thinking... Adaman, Laventon and Cyllene meeting and falling for a reader who just rides around hisui on their legendary pokemon buddy and helps out wild pokemon who need it?
~ ranger anon
ooh one for everybody!!
🍓🍓🍓
Adaman:
Adaman thinks you're a gift from above. He doesn't know the Pokémon you ride, but he can tell it's powerful. It walks with a heavy step, and its entire body rumbles with contained thunder. Adaman stares as you walk through the settlement, alongside everyone else, in awe of your majesty. Have you been sent by the Mighty Sinnoh to bless them with your time?
Raikou, you call the beast. It comes to you whenever you call, gallops across Hisui, leaping incredible distances. Adaman peppers you with questions about your steed whenever you come up riding Raikou, just to distract himself from how majestic and divine you look. Is he blushing? It’s the heat!
Adaman knows Raikou holds the key to winning your favor. He makes treats, indulges the beast in staticky pets, and becomes a preferred snoozing spot for Raikou. You laugh, seeing the giant feline laid across Adaman, his Leadeon so jealous. Still, despite the embarrassment, Adaman revels in the soft, warm look in your eyes as Raikou purrs, even if it’s because his hair is standing on end
Laventon:
Laventon first sees you at the Coastlands. You come in from the sea, atop a gorgeous Pokémon gracefully walking atop the waves. He’s smitten almost immediately, reminded of childhood tales of beautiful people sending sailors to their death. You could leave him right into the water, mounted on your stead
Suicune, you call it. A gentle beast of great power, but Laventon finds you are far more gentle. Your hands guide his, pressing them to Suicune where it likes to be stroked. Your voice is warm as you explain your story to the enraptured professor, and you listen to him theorize with a fond smile. Laventon finds himself dreaming of you before long, you and your beautiful smile
Should you ever bless Laventon with a ride upon Suicune, he is mystified. He clings to your back, watching his reflection and yours in the water's surface, disturbed only by Suicune's gentle steps. The faster you go, the more the water sprays up at you both, and Laventon can only laugh, in awe. He loves his job, and you, quite a bit
Cyllene:
Cyllene first encounters you when she’s still in the Security Corp. While escorting some members of the Supply Corp, there’s a loud explosion. She whips around, and sees you atop your molten stead, sliding down the side of the mountain with rubble rolling around you. You approach her team, nod, then run off into the distance. Instantly, Cyllene is intrigued, and wants to know more
She sees you far more as time passes. You come, with your Pokémon ride Entei behind you, and greet her out on missions. You show her Entei, let her pat the Pokémon’s warm fur, and always disappear as quickly as you appear. Cyllene finds herself thinking of you often, wondering about you, about Entei, about where you go when you’re not around. You occupy so much of her mind that she’s nearly losing sleep
The closer you grow, the easier it becomes. You stay with Cyllene in her office, having peaceful chats or simply basking in one another’s presence. Entei lies on the floor before her desk, intimidating the newbies quite nicely. Cyllene can only be seen smiling when you are with her, and when the new Corp members are squirming beneath her and Entei’s stare
🍓🍓🍓
Everyone: enthralled with pretty person on mighty stead
Have a good night!

Cyllene: Alright, so I’m supposed to start inducing therapy into our workplace.
Cyllene: So, I got a box and we're gonna put everything we love in the box.
Akari: Can I put Y/N in the box?
Cyllene: No.
Rei: Can I put Y/N in the box?
Cyllene: No.
Laventon: Can I put Y/N in the box?
Cyllene: No.
Volo: Can I-?
Cyllene: No one is putting Y/N in the box!

as someone with hypersomnia, ive scared people.
slept for 3 days once.
imagine the poor mc scaring everyone like that.
they wake up and everyones crying cause they think your dying (granted you havent eaten in 3 days but still)
Your sleep schedule has been a mess. All day almost every day and night you’ve been working, mission this and mission that, you’re exhausted.
Today had been the first day you had gotten home at a reasonable hour and the second your body touched your futon you were out.
The warmth or your blanket and the softness of the mattress made the perfect cozy cocoon, it felt like a cloud with the week you’ve had.
Rei was sent that morning to get you, you hadn’t gotten up yet and the commander was getting agitated the longer you weren’t in his office.
He knocks on your door and calls out “hey hero! You up?” He continues knocking for a bit before waiting.
There was no sound of movement on the other side, man survey work must’ve taken a lot out of you!
“Hey, I’m coming in, if that’s okay!” Ever the sweet boy.
Gentle sliding the door open just enough to peek in. Seeing your still asleep he walks in.
Sitting beside you Rei tries to gently shake you awake.
“Come on wake up, rise and shine! We got the whole day ahead of us!”
His shaking gets more and more aggressive trying to wake you up before he yanks your blanket off of you, and when that didn’t work he took your pillow from under your head and started hitting you with it.
“This isn’t funny, how can you be such a heavy sleeper!?”
The more he continues the more his frustration turns into worry. Why aren’t you waking up? You’re still breathing but no matter what he has done you don’t budge.
“Okay I’ll be back!” Rei tries not to panic, where you hit by some Pokémon attack?
He rushes back to but goes try to Cyllene’s office.
“The hero won’t wake up.” His voice breaks a little.
The stoic woman looks up for her paperwork “what do you mean they won’t wake up?”
Laventon pokes his head in from his office “everything alright? Usually they are up by now.”
“That’s what I thought!” Rei cries “but I shook them as hard as I could, called for them as loud as I could without getting a complaint, and even took their blanket off them, I even hit them with their pillow! Nothing! They didn’t even twitch!”
Laventon and Cyllene share a look.
“I’ll go check on them.” The professor heads out the door with his assistant following close behind.
Cyllene only hopes they come back with a drowsy you.
Laventon does what he can, he made some Galarian curry, the warmth and smell of the homemade dish didn’t wake you, a whistling tea kettle didn’t wake you, both of their yelling didn’t wake you.
Laventon picks you up “we are taking them to the medical ward, in form the others.”
Rei rushes ahead of the professor so Pesselle gets ready, once he does that he in forms the commander, knowing Cyllene’s office door is open and will see Laventon.
Cyllene barely holds back a gasp when she sees Laventon bringing you in.
“Were they attacked last night?” The captain meets Laventon before he can continue and takes you in her arms.
“I’m not sure, they made no moves other than breathing.”
Cyllene cusses under her breathe and moves you to the medical bay.
“I already have the bed set up over there please.”
Setting you on the bed Cyllene is swiftly moves away by Pesselle. The nurse quickly checking you over, moving your limbs to see if there is anything out of place or wounds.
When those don’t work she turns to the captain “they have a Blissey, right? Professor said those are good at sensing when someone is hurt, could you by any chance go get one for me?”
Cyllene didn’t need to be told twice and was at the pastures within seconds.
Your Pokémon there perk up at the sight of her, gently letting out happy sounds from each one.
“Is there a Blissey in the pastures?” The stoic woman asks the worker.
“Oh yes, she usually stays around the smaller Pokémon go tend to them in the back over there.”
“Perfect.”
The pasture worker screams as Cyllene hops the fence with easy, your Pokémon have noticed her stressed emotions and actively call for the big pink Pokémon.
Who comes rushing towards her.
“Hello, I require you assistance for a moment, please follow me.”
With a joyful cry the Pokémon follows Cyllene through the field, opening the gate herself and allowing the healing Pokémon free.
“I’m sorry but-“
Cyllene doesn’t stop to listen, making her way to where you were.
“I’ve brought the Pokémon.”
The Blissey cheers at seeing your sleeping form and bounces around happily, but makes no move to start healing or tending to you. In fact Blissey sits down and starts rocking and falling asleep.
“Laventon.” Cyllene doesn’t take her eye off you.
“Blissey’s are natural healers.” He starts.
“So that must mean there is nothing wrong with them.” Pesselle finishes.
The room is filled with sighs of relief, but then confusion.
“They why won’t they wake up?”
“Possibly the worlds heaviest sleeper? I’m sure they will come around.” Rei adds.
“Abra.” The Pokémon instantly teleports in “I wish for you to stay here and keep watch over the hero, if they wake you are to report back to me.”
The floating Pokémon makes a confirming sound and makes a spot floating beside you.
“Everyone else, back to your orders.”
And they did, occasionally checking on you to see if you’ve woken up yet. Cyllene gets increasingly more worried when by the end of the day her Abra doesn’t come to her at all.
She peeks in and finds you haven’t moved, neither as your Blissey or her Abra.
She hope in the morning you’ll be up.
But you never did.
The next morning the room is exactly how it was left as were you.
“Where is the hero?” Kamado was at Cyllene’s desk those time.
“They are still asleep sir, Abra has not alerted me to any movements or them waking up, I am concerned by this, it’s been over twenty-four hours.”
Kamado huffs “have you tried pouring water over them?”
“I’m positive if Pesselle doesn’t end you for ruining her sheets, I will.” She stops her work and stares at the man in front of her.
“Then what are we to do? We need them out there.”
“If you are so concerned about filling the pokedex then why don’t you go do it?”
Kamado stops talking and crosses his arms.
“If you don’t wish to talk to the clan leaders about why the hero hasn’t showed up to help them direct them to me.” She returns to reviewing reports.
Kamado leaves for his office just as Rei and Laventon show up.
“Are they awake yet?” Rei asks excitedly.
“I’m afraid not.” The swordswoman sighs a Rei’s dejected face.
Laventon looks towards you in worry.
“And Blissey hasn’t indicted something wrong?”
“Also no.”
The three sigh, worried about your condition.
The silence is broken by a sniffle “a-are they dying?”
“What? No not at all Rei! If they were dying, hurt, or ill, Blissey would’ve let us know.”
Laventon shushes the boy gently, hugging him and rubbing circles on his back.
“I apologize for the interruption-“
“I don’t, where are they!”
The three look towards the door and see Ingo and Lian standing there.
“I’m sorry for his outburst, we haven’t heard from the hero and we are getting worried.” Ingo tilts his hat down.
Lian puts his hands on his hips “they promised to hang out with me today, but it’s almost evening, where are they!…..Rei?”
Both warden’s look concerned while Rei furiously wipes away his tears.
“A-are they?” Lian’s bottom lip quivers.
“Did they?” Ingo asks softly.
“No no! They are fine!”
Laventon speaks “it’s been over twenty-four hours, probably more than forty-eight hours, and they still haven’t woken up.”
“We have tried everything! And I just..I was getting worried.”
“They have been asleep for two days?” Ingo sounds surprised, sure you’re always sleepy and tired, but that long?
“Yes, Abra is set to alert Cyllene if they wake up, and their Blissey has basically told us there is nothing wrong with them.” Laventon hums.
The two warden’s visit you where you slept.
Blissey jumping up happily at the sight of them.
“Is there anything we can do to help?”
The professor shakes his head “I’m afraid not, it’s just a waiting game now.”
“Then we stay here until they wake up.” Lian declares, sitting beside you.
“Lian we have work to do, and you have a noble to tend to.” The older warden says tenderly.
“Lord Kleavor will understand! He likes big sib anyways.”
Ingo sighs “should we tell everyone else?”
“Oh no, if this is just something small it would cause a big fuss over nothing, we don’t want to start chaos.” Cyllene waves him off.
That night Lian laid on the bed next to yours waiting for you to wake up.
Rei laid with him hoping that whatever was listening would wake you. He weeps silently.
Cyllene closed all doors to her office and allowed herself to shed a tear, her worry for you is immense.
Laventon cries into the desk, what if you are dying? What if you’re too far gone and that’s why Blissey isn’t reacting, cause there is nothing she can do.
Ingo stayed in Jubilife that night as well, but he couldn’t sleep, he kept walking around the Village and stop by to spend time with your Pokémon, before going back to the medical bay and checkin on you and the boys.
You blink your eyes lazily, groaning as your stretch, bones popping while you fall limp once more to the bed.
Man last night sleep felt great.
You scream when the door flings open, Cyllene, Laventon, and Ingo stood there wide eyed.
The noise woke up Lian and Rei who awaken with a start.
“You’re awake!” Laventon cries.
“Oh thank the Sinnoh’s.” Cyllene sighs.
“You had us worried.” Ingo laughs in relief.
“YOU’RE AWAKE!”
You’re suddenly tackled and pulled into a snug group hug by Lian and Rei.
“Guys what the hell, I was just asleep.” You speak through a yawn.
“Dear you were asleep for three days, we have a right to be worried!” The other stare in disbelief at you.
“Now that you mention it, I am hungry and a bit thirsty, can-“
You didn’t even get to finish your sentence when Ingo and Laventon ran off to fetch those things for you.
“We thought you were dying!” Rei cries this time.
“Guys please, I was just really tired.”
Cyllene clears her throat “I will be making sure your hours are cut then, I do not want a repeat of this.”
“Cyllene, as much as I love how much you guys care for me you can’t do that, it’s not something that can be stopped.”
Their confused faces tell you you’re going to need to explain what hypersomnia is.

Guardians of Hisui, chapter 1: A Land in Crisis
A story set twenty years after the events of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Cyllene faces a mysterious new threat that could destroy all of Hisui and take away what remains of the family she’s made.
---
On the high walls surrounding the Diamond Clan, Cyllene manned the canons. A horde of about a dozen kleavor emerged from the woods, and with a few well-placed shots, she killed three of them. Shots from her allies killed all but one of the rest. The final kleavor, its eyes milky and its chitin rotted, ran past where the canons could reach without risking damage to the walls. As the kleavor began to scale the wall, Cyllene drew her sword. Just as its heavy black axes dug into the ledge, Cyllene stabbed downwards and impaled it through the abdomen. With a horrible groan, it went limp, its body thwacking against the wall as its axes remained embedded in the ledge.
Kamado appeared behind Cyllene. “Nicely done. Do you think we should kick it down? Or should we leave it there for decoration?” The man asked sarcastically.
Cyllene put a foot against the Kleavor’s head and shoved off the wall, leaving it to tumble down the twenty feet. She wasn’t feeling particularly jovial.
“Fair enough. Well, I’m here to take over for the night. You can go home now.”
“Thank you, Kamado,” Cyllene said before leaving.
Walking through the new fields and pastures outside the village, all surrounded by tall, wooden walls, one had to admire how quickly the people of the Diamond Clan had made their continued existence possible. Rather than evacuate once the mutant kleavor had become a problem, they’d not only erected these walls, but expanded their fields, planted more crops, and bred more livestock to compensate for their new inability to rely on hunting and fishing for food. It was no one’s dream to be unable to leave one’s village, but the people here would be safe until the kleavor became too numerous to hold off.
Cyllene hated bug Pokemon, and she especially hated kleavor. The thick chitin armour. The disgusting brown fluid that flowed from their bodies when they were pierced. The massive axes of black stone on their wrists. Years and years ago, on one of her first missions, she’d seen their pre-evolution sneak up on her comrades and slice off her friend’s leg before they could fend it off. Cyllene was stronger now, but this infestation was beyond anything she’d faced then.
Kleavor weren’t supposed to occur in large numbers in the wild, and so when great numbers of them began to pop up far from the normal range in which kleavor or even scyther dwelled, it had sparked scientific curiousity in Jubilife Village. The mysteries surrounding them grew the more they learned. These weren’t regular kleavor. They were kleavor in poor health, with milky eyes and stained, poorly maintained chitin. They didn’t act like kleavor, either. Kleavor and scyther lived in burrows and caves, maybe five or six to a group. These creatures, hundreds of them, were erecting a massive structure reminiscent of a vespiqueen’s nest over the Crimson Mire. Naturally, Laventon had been filled with excitement and scientific curiousity by the strange infestation and had wanted to study it himself.
And Cyllene… knowing that something would have to be done about it eventually, for the good of other species and perhaps even humankind… she’d let him set off with barely a thought. Laventon had survived many dangerous research trips into the wildest of areas. He could to handle himself, even if he could be reckless at times. She hadn’t checked in with him to see how he had prepared, or who he was going with, or anything else. She hadn’t wanted to even think about mutant wild kleavor unless she had to.
He had gone alone. It had been seven years, and no one had seen him since.
Cyllene had carried on the best she could. Her children needed her.  And as the kleavor multiplied like a cancer and their hive expanded, Hisui needed her. As the kleavor began attacking the Diamond Clan, Kamado changed the focus of the Galaxy Team from research to defense and had moved them from Jubilife Village to the Diamond Clan. They had recently called upon Hoenn to lend them the manpower to go on the offensive and destroy this threat. Should they refuse, evacuation from the Diamond Clan, and perhaps one day all of Hisui, would remain the only option.
It was hard not to think about. But at least Cyllene was home now. As soon as she opened the door, the smell of cooking meat and onions greeted her, and Keidan and his monferno greeted her with a hug.
“Kill any bugs?” he asked, a big smile on his face.
How she loved her Keidan. He was still young enough to see this work as beautiful and heroic. “Yes. Thirteen today. You?
“Seven.”
“Excellent. Fleur is handling dinner, I take it?”
“Yep. She has something to tell you.”
Fleur stepped into the room. She looked scared. “You didn’t have to tell her...” she said.
“Is something bothering you?”
Fleur looked away and tucked a lock of dark blue hair behind her ear. “I have to keep the food from burning,” she said, starting back to the kitchen. Before Cyllene could ask, Fleur added, “and no, I don’t need help.”
“Is she pregnant?” Cyllene whispered to Keidan.
“No. It’s just myth stuff. I don’t know why she’s making such a big deal about it.”
Of course, Keidan wouldn’t. She understood Keidan. She tried to understand Fleur, but... well, she wished Laventon was here. He had been so much better at it.
Soon, the table was set, with a place for the three people along with Keidan’s monferno, Cyllene’s bisharp, and what was now decidedly Fleur’s alakazam.
“Are you ready to tell me now?” Cyllene asked, sitting down at the table.
“Yeah. Mom, I’ve been reading through old reports on space-time distortions, and I think that the reason the kleavor are acting like this is because of what happened with Volo. Before Volo, the time-space distortions were mostly situated over the Coronet Highlands. That’s where Palkia, Dialga, and Arceus lived, and it’s also where the distortions should be- any foreign Pokémon that drops in there just dies before their population grows because it’s such a harsh place, and they don’t happen often enough elsewhere for it to cause problems. But since Volo, the hotspot for space-time distortions has been moving. It’s like the three legendaries are trying to figure out if the Coronet Highlands are really the safest place for them. And the hotspot when the kleavor started acting like this was right over the Crimson Mire. Maybe they’re like, kleavor from the future or something- an invasive species.”
“Very interesting,” Cyllene replied, hoping that she sounded interested. “I always like hearing about what you’re reading. Is that all?” Cyllene wondered why Fleur had been so anxious. Cyllene didn’t care what the kleavor were or why they were acting up; they would be extinct in a year provided that the Hoennians came through for them. But, Fleur did care a lot about her myths.
Fleur looked down at the table. “I think you need to tell the Hoennians about this or it could happen again. We need to let the Gods know that they have to stop causing these things so often in gentle environments.”
“No,” Cyllene replied immediately, “The Hoennians barely think this place is habitable as-is. If they think that, for the second time in two decades, the entire country is in danger because the Gods were acting up, there’s a good chance that they won’t waste their soldiers on us. At best, they’ll send evacuation ships. At worst, they’ll leave us to die. I can’t risk that over a hunch. After the kleavor are gone and the Hoennians are headed home, maybe we’ll investigate your theory.”
“This could prevent the next threat to Hisui. I need more than ‘maybe.’”
“We’ll see what the priorities of Jubilife look like and what Kamado decides.”
The conversation died down for a minute. Tension was in the air, even though Cyllene thought she’d made herself perfectly clear.
“I feel like you’re only giving me that much to make me shut up.”
“Look. I know you want some glory from this myth-chasing, but your father and I both dedicated years to researching the Pokémon of Hisui so that this place would have a future. I am not going to do anything that isn’t in its best interest. That is final.”
“This could take a lot of manpower to investigate. It needs to get done while the Hoennians are here. What if I’m right, and this happens again? How many times will they bail us out like this? Believe it or not, I’m being practical!”
“Yes,” Cyllene replied, her voice cool even as she was visibly losing her patience, “The tears in your eyes, raised voice, and the desire to endanger our foreign relations for a theory you have no evidence for all scream ‘impartiality.’”
With that, Fleur took a deep breath, got up, and left the table, clearly upset.
Alakazam glared at Cyllene. I love you, but you’d better fix this, it said to her telepathically before following Fleur out, making comforting noises.
Cyllene regretted her words immediately. “I’m sorry,” she said, to no one in particular. “I’ll... I guess let her cool down a bit. Then I’ll fix this.”
“Sounds like a good idea. I’m going to head out, meet up with some friends.”
“Thank you. Good for you,” she replied.
Keidan left after he was finished eating. Cyllene waited a few minutes before knocking on the door to Fleur’s room.
“What?” she said, unimpressed.
“Fleur. You’re seventeen. You’re old enough to hear me admit this: motherhood is not my strong suit. I try to make that my problem instead of yours. I failed in that  tonight. I’ve decided to tell Kamado about your theory tomorrow. I don’t know what he’ll do with it, but maybe you’re right and he will want to pursue it. Come out and explain it to me so I’ll have some notes to present to him tomorrow.”
Fleur did. She even seemed excited. Cyllene was no student of myth: she couldn’t tell whether what she was saying was plausible or not. But it made Fleur happy. That was what was important.
No one slept particularly well that night. Fleur definitely wasn’t- Cyllene could hear a lot of rattling around coming from her room. Cyllene worried about that girl. A world needed more than warriors, to be sure, and Fleur was perfectly helpful to the Diamond Faction as a farmhand. But Cyllene feared that one day, violence would come knocking at Fleur’s door, and she’d be totally unprepared. From a young age, she'd hated even watching as children younger than she was battled their Pokémon. Laventon had always had the attitude that it took all types, but now Cyllene regretted not doing more to toughen her up.
How did I even produce someone so soft? Maybe that’s what Laventon would have been like if he hadn’t been practically blind to danger. It can’t be easy for her to come from a family of explorers and warriors, watching her brother follow in our footsteps when she never will.
Cyllene dozed off sometime in the early morning hours and woke up to a letter slipped under her door.
Mom,
Please don’t tell Kamado my theory today. I thought over what you said, and you were right. I need evidence, or he won’t take me seriously. I think that the library in Jubilife has what I need. I’m heading there right now. Don’t worry- Alakazam will protect me, and I’ll be back as soon as possible.
-Fleur
Cyllene’s heart rate shot through the roof. Fleur, out there where the kleavor could hunt her down, with only a Pokémon weak to bugs for protection? She banged on Keidan’s door.
Keidan opened the door. Any annoyance from being woken early was gone the second he saw the distress on his mother’s face. “What’s going on?”
“Fleur went beyond the walls. She must have had Alakazam teleport her out. I’m going after her.”
“Can I be of help?”
“Yes,” Cyllene said. This wasn’t like the times Keidan had begged her to let him go on a Galaxy Team field mission, as he’d frequently done back when they were still in Jubilife. He was fifteen now, bigger than her, nearly as good with a Pokémon or a sword, and Cyllene could tell he was dead serious. “But you must heed my every order out there. It could save your life. Begin packing us up- assuming she’s alive, it could take us days to find her. I’m going to tell Kamado the situation.”
Keidan gave a stiff nod, and they parted ways.

Physical Memories
Based on @bellafragolina fic where her oc Renee is sent to Hisui.
When I read the fic I just knew!!! I needed to draw it, because I also tend to be a lil emotional over having physical photos and a tiny album about the people I love. I just hope I got everyone character correct haha
love you strabby!! u3u but also forgive my wonkiness in some part of the comic I tried my best!

[Not a request and kinda long] I have a small headcanon myself for the self aware Hisui -
Mostly that if reader were to enter the game before Ingo knew they entered, they'd enter more as a spectre that follows the main character around, not really able to interact with anyone but the main character. Still giving advice and telling them where to go, basically a floating talking arcphone. But the main character has gained some sort of self awareness with this, which is why they appreciate the spectre helping.
I'm mostly going with the spectre idea, as the readers body probably wouldn't follow them into the game if the code wasn't messed with properly, so they don't technically have a sprite/body in game either until way later when they mess with the code themselves.
And like, just imagine, the self aware characters notice the main character subconsciously nodding, shaking their head and looking over their shoulder as if looking for someone or some sort of confirmation from someone. So they start following their movements more closely, thinking something is wrong while also confirming that they too, are self aware or at least act out of script.
Until maybe a confrontation with a noble goes wrong, and spectre! Reader uses the code they messed with to quickly get a sprite just so they can join the fray and help the main character directly. The sprite maybe starts as a standard npc and changes to look more and more like the reader the longer the fight goes on. And Ingo/Volo/Laventon/whoever else start noticing that the standard NPC that just jumped in is changing to look more and more like the person beyond the screen.
This actually reminds me of a comic I saw! It was where the player was sort of like a guide/spirit for the protagonist.
The hero i think asks what steel is weak against or something?? And the player goes “Lol one sec, lemme check Bulbapedia.” As they pull out their phone. I’m also just,,, imagining like,, The hero tells you they can see you and they are aware of you and you just immediately are like:
Tumblr media
But I really love this idea! You are concerned with waking up as essentially a ghost, but find the player can actually see you and hear you, and even talk to you! You go through a minor crisis when the game continues without you directly controlling the player. It’s almost as if you entered a weird second dimension, with how people seem alive and yet... not. They still act like they are NPCs, but at the same time, it’s as if they are alive like in your world, sometimes. The hero is the best/weirdest example. At first, they just go on their way, as if you were already playing. You follow them, curious. It’s not like you have anything better to do, being a ghost made of bits of code. But then they see you. They ask you for help. You are almost shocked. They seemed confused when you look surprised. You had done everything to help them before now! Was it something they said? They hadn’t upset you, have they?? You assure them that no! They are fine! You just,,, didn’t think they could see you or hear you. They tell you it was recent, but they have also always been able to feel your presence. They appreciate how you care for them and their pokemon, and how you strategize in battle. They are never scared, and never feel alone because of you. So seeing you as a specter, they are actually excited! They were confused when no one else could see you, but they supposed if they couldn’t sense you before, then they wouldn’t see you either. After that, you pick and mess with the code, unaware your very presence if messing with the world around you. The NPCs become more lively, and they starting noticing things. Like how the hero will look over to the side or over their shoulder, and nod or talk to something not there. Laventon wonders if it’s a ghost type they have around them, but when asked, they simply say no, its not a pokemon, but a friend. He isn’t sure what to think of that. When the rival challenges the hero to a battle, they are confused when the hero looks over their shoulder, before making a move. It’s odd, as if waiting for orders or directions. Ingo especially notices the odd behavior. The hero comes and sees him often, and challenges people to a battle. When the hero battles him, or anyone else. its as if they are waiting for directions. Sometimes when the shopkeepers see the hero, its as if the hero looks over, before buying anything. Some even swear the hero asked someone what to buy, before making a decision. It’s... Concerning. If the hero wasn’t a huge force to be reckoned with, and did an amazing job for the community, they would have been worried. However, it gets weirder when a random person just randomly shows up with the hero one day. The hero argues for their behalf, and Cyllene reluctantly gives them a spot on the team. The hero was their strongest fighter and highest rank. She trusts them, and will allow you to stay. The hero even offers their home, and that you will be staying with them. It’s suspicious... but after the hero says you saved their life against a noble, they decide to let you stay. They can’t help but feel like your name is familiar though. Then it gets weird, when your features seem to change, and a few characters begin to feel as if they recognize you. Ingo, Laventon, Cyllene, and a few others can’t help but feel like you are someone important. It isn’t until your form is nearly identical to how you normally look that they recognize you, the person behind the screen. You and the hero are shocked they recognize you, the hero especially since they seemed to be the only one you controlled. Ingo admits he has known about you for awhile. He just... couldn’t do anything. the code wouldn’t let him, not until after you suddenly disappeared. Laventon admits this as well. He says he had grown worried, but was relieved you were okay. Cyllene’s worry washes away when she recognizes you. You are practically the same rank as the hero, as she sees it, and immediately raises your rank to 10. She reluctantly admits she had grown worried for you as well, and that something might have happened. Overall, it’s a surprise to you that they even knew you existed. You kinda worry about the fact they all seemed painfully aware they were in a game, or at least there was another plain of reality above theirs... Though you can’t help but feel a chill down your spine, and feel like someone is watching you when you leave the house in the village. The hero agrees, and decides to follow you to protect you. Unknown to you, Volo begins following you both in earnest. The person behind the screen, the true god, was in the game, and seemed to be able to control the fabric of reality. He really wanted to meet you, and talk with you. If only the hero would leave you alone for a few minutes....

Now stop with the death of s/o, poor men suffering THREE times!
An imagine where they met their descendants instead, s/o's alive and have a happy family with them, proof? *yeets their descendants to their faces*
Hey!! It’s not just me!! Requesters out here helping me with ideas on how to make them suffer. We’re a community!!
But also this is super sweet I love it they’re gonna be so sappy about it
🍓🍓🍓
Laventon:
The rifts are strange things. He never imagined to be caught in one, but such things happen. The Alabaster Icelands are hellish on a good day, and the Avalanche Slopes are precarious as is. So a rift? Might as well occur. He steels him, gazing around at the swirling discoloration around them along with the Security Corp members. He won't let a rift stop him from getting you a Blissey. Not now, not ever.
But then he notices a person in the rift. They're not fully there, mere flashes of someone, but he can see them. Hear them introduce themselves to someone he can't see. Hear them call themselves Laventon.
A descendant? Laventon rushes towards the person, desperate to see them. He nears, and watches as they gesture behind them.
"And here you can see the work done by my ancestors, Professor Laventon and the Hero of Hisui."
Laventon collapses to his knees, sobbing in relief. You have a child, you have descendants! You're not going to perish to your illness. You'll get better, you'll love him, marry him, have children with him. He's overjoyed, so relieved, and eager to get back to you, to tell you. He fumbles his camera, snaps a photo of the person smiling before him, then rushes onward. He needs to find a Blissey, and neither hell nor high water will be stopping him.
Ingo:
Calaba has forced him out of your shared hut, to go gather her some herbs and leeks while she assesses your condition. He moves slowly, mind worrying over you, trying to think of things he can do. He almost doesn't notice the rift forming around him, but then someone cries out
He whips around, and spots the person amongst the sparks of lightning. They're shouting at someone he can't see, but he recognizes the silver of their hair. The silver of their eyes. They introduce themselves by your name, seemingly proud
"I'm named after my ancestor!" They boast.
Ingo wails. A descendant, one that looks like him and is named after you. You two have children. You're not going to leave him alone, no, you're going to give him a family. He swears then and there to never let you want for anything before rushing back towards his home. He casts one glance to his fading descendant, then makes haste.
Calaba tells him you're not getting worse, but he doesn't hear her. He rushes to your side, kisses your head, and thanks you for being so strong. He owes you his life
Cyllene:
She's going through your bag. You fell sick so quickly after returning from a survey that you had no time to unpack it or anything. So with careful consideration for your things, she goes about removing rotting berries and sorting through the strange things you've brought back from rifts and the ruins
One thing she finds is a photograph. It appears old, frayed around the edges, but still somewhat visible. It's a small family, parents and a child, but the parents heads aren't visible. The child. . . looks so much like you. They have your smile and everything. She flips the photo over to see crisp writing
Captain Cyllene of Galaxy Team with Hero of Hisui and their Child
Cyllene drops the photo, her hands slapping over her mouth. You must've found this in a rift, bringing back to show her. You have no idea the value of this photo, knowing that you will have a child together. You will recover, you won't disobey her orders. You will be okay.
It's more than she could ever ask for
Volo:
He's out getting you medicine from the other guild members when he sees the final flares of a rift blaze out. He finds himself moving towards it despite his goals, desperate for a distraction from all the sorrow that seems to haunt him nowadays
He searches the general area, finding colorful glass, but also. . . a wrapped present. Addressed to him? He picks it up, careful with it, and reads the tag. Yes, it's for him, from you and. . . a name he doesn't recognize. He carefully peels open the present, and finds a small book inside, labeled as an album. He opens it, and nearly drops it out of surprise
Inside are various pictures of the two of you, but you look far older than now. A child is squished between you in most of the photos, with the same name as on the tag, pictures ranging from the child as a baby to their tenth birthday. Your child. You have a child. This is an album of photos of you and him with your child. Volo glances up at the sky
"Thank you, Arceus." He breathes, chest tight. "I won't forget this."
He needs to get that medicine and get back to you, stat. You both have so much living left to do, and he's not going to waste a second of it

<3 I love fix it fics. Also, sorry for not having them actually meet the descendants. I thought it would be fun to try and make it more realistic, with the rifts being so strange and everything. <3<3 Hope you like it!
