can you tell us more about broppy capture au?
Sure! Here’s a little somethin’ somethin’:
So, Branch didn’t confess his feelings to Poppy at the end of Word Tour, he felt like it needed to be its own thing and that Poppy deserved to be in the moment after saving the world. He thought there’d be plenty of time to confess later. They still have a good connection though now that they’re better at communicating.
They’re out in the hot air balloon on another adventure when a strong wind knocks them off course towards the woods near the base of Mount Rageous and they get stuck in a tree. They aren’t able to shift the balloon on their own so when they see Velvet and Veneer (who are out hunting for Trolls to use) they ask them for help, but instead V&V capture them.
V&V now have a Troll to use each (His and Hers Trolls) and because Velvet is more trigger happy with the spray bottle, Poppy deteriorates quicker than Branch.

what abt that au we talked abt where branch gets snatched up by that massive eye creature? 👁️👁️
Okay, that one's hard to explain because currently it's more a collection of cool concepts, ideas, and some scenes with a loose thread of semi-coherent plot connecting it all. But it's a fun collection of cool concepts, ideas, and some scenes with a loose thread of semi-coherent plot connecting it all!
Story starts with Branch pulling Poppy aside so they can talk later, as he has something important to tell her. But Queenly duties leave her running a little late to their little meetup, and when she gets there, Branch is gone. But when she and a few others do manage to track him down...
He doesn't recognize her. He's gray, but it's different from before—lighter, paler, low contrast, almost as though he's been washed out. He doesn't recognize any of them. He's armed, too, and all he sees before him are threats.
It only gets more wild from there >:]]]

Okay guys, listen up!
Tumblr media
Got some insight to the Annecy Film Festival and some of the news it revealed! The info I found was from a posting on the YouTube channel "jstar" (if you're on Tumblr, I'd love to know 😀) from a screenshot presumably found from somewhere on social media ( A friend I speak to on Wattpad brought this channel and its postings to my attention). Here's what exactly was said:
"To be factual: after the furious madness of the second Trolls, whose psychedelic energy had something orgasmic about it, exit hard rock and welcome to the glorious era of boy bands. A retrospective choice (still) logical given the astounding popularity of Kpop today. He's Justin Timberlake's character, Branche, who was actually in a boy band with his brothers when he was little (watch out for the puns in the movie on Nsync, One Direction and the like) before being cowardly abandoned, becoming th grumpy, melancholy troll he is today. The goal of the film will be to reassemble the band to save one of them, captured by idols without talents who sniff him to become good singers. By breaking a crystal that imprisons him with the power of perfect harmony."
So I guess the brothers have to sing the 'Family Harmony' (which sounds like a special song of some sort) to save Floyd who is trapped in a crystal that Velvet and Veneer placed him in after they smell him to obtain his talent?
Um... what? XD
So I guess it kinda makes sense in a way - Bergens ate Trolls to obtain their happiness, so perhaps sniffling them means that they can get their singing abilities?? Perhaps that's why they have to keep him - maybe inhaling his talent is only temporary? Maybe each time they do it continues to turn his hair the white that we saw in the first poster? And what's the deal with the Family Harmony? How will that play out? Are their voices going to combine like a magical force and break the crystal Floyd’s trapped in? If this is all true, I've certainly got a lot of questions lol
Other postings that were made on social media stated that the first 20 MINUTES of the movie were shown.
Here is a posting regarding Broppy:
"Branch definitely has a bigger emotional hurdle to jump through in this movie and Poppy really helps him with that, kind of like in the first movie, but it's a much different issue, even though Poppy feels like it's the same kind of situation to solve."
I had a feeling that this movie would remind me of the first :) This next one is about my boyz:
"We explore the world of boy bands in the world of 90s music! We celebrate them, but with a certain irony, having a little fun with them. They are more expressive and maybe they also have problems on their side. It was fun exploring these different personalities, feeling a likeness and family connection to them. But also for each of the four brothers to find their own personality, their own voice and their own part of the family."
This last quoting is about the music:
"The composer remains Ted Shapiro and we are working with a great musical team at the moment. Justin is still the executive producer of the original music and was involved in its development early on. There are five original songs that he spearheads, as well as more jukebox songs, classic and familiar happy tunes and he calls on other producers he wants to work with to create the best song for this moment in the film."
Still don't have word on the original songs, but we do know from previous info that some of the involved songs are We Are Family, Staying Alive, Everybody (Backstreet's Back), The Hustle, You Got the Right Stuff, Sailing, Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This, and I Want You Back. I also have my own ideas for what songs I think could work for the movie, but I'll save it for another post :)

Crystal AU
I've had this idea since quite some time now, and I think I should share it with you, guys.
In this AU, there's a legend about a magical crystal capable of granting god-like power to its possessor. Said crystal is hidden in the heart of a troll who embodies all of the trolls' values: kindness, optimism, empathy, loyalty, happiness...In conclusion, Poppy. The bergens are aware of this and they've been searching for this particular troll since the beginning of time, actually, Chef (who's leader of the team in charge of its capture) had promised King Gristle Sr, and later Jr, that she would bring the crystal to them; but what nobody knows is that Chef actually plans to find the crystal in order to use it to become queen.
That's the main reason why she's spent most of her life searching for it.
Back with the Trolls, King Peppy knew all along that his little princess was the wielder of this magical stone. Therefore, he recruited the best team of Trolls to protect her at all costs: the Snack Pack with Creek as their leader. But Poppy is unaware of her best friends' real identities and mission, Hell, she doesn't even know that she has the crystal; she's heard of it, of course, but she doesn't know where it is.
You're probably wondering "What is Branch's role?" Easy enough. Since you're never too cautious when it comes to protecting the people you love, Peppy assigned Branch to be Poppy's secret bodyguard (not even the Snack Pack knows about this). And that is why he's a survivalist, the fact that he's grey and lost his grandma due to his singing is still cannon here, now, after all those years taking care of Poppy and receiving such wonderful invites, there's no doubt he's gonna protect Poppy due to more than just the fact that it's his job. But *shoo* that's a secret ;)
Ok, this is indeed longer than I expected. Oh, well. I've also thought about the "True Colors" scene and how can someone take the crystal, but that's something I'm gonna share later. But I want to ask you:
What do you guys think?

🌻☆♬○♩●♪✧♩🤍 ramble on and on about one of your playlists and send this to as many people as you want to 🤍♩✧♪●♩○♬☆🌻
=~D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WELL! OKAY!
I've been meaning to give a breakdown of my playlist for my OC Maddie T for some time. Meant to do it on my OC blog, but since this ask was sent to my main, and the only other playlist I feel like I have a bunch to say on is my broppy playlist which I have already rambled extensively about without prompting, well. Here it goes!
~
Backflip - Green Eggs and Ham: I feel like this song captures a lot of her general energy and she does have this same kind of upbeat, optimistic, and irreverent kind of attitude and outlook on life. Also, Green Eggs and Ham is absolutely her kind of show. It's absolutely great btw, if you haven't watched it PLEASE do.
"If you only knew how to laugh and dance / Whether you're a pancakes or waffles man / We've still got a whole lot left to learn / If you only knew (If you only knew)"
Raining Tacos Saga (Parts 1-5 out of 9) - Parry Gripp: What can I say, she's a goofy person and this song is ALSO her kind of vibe a lot of the time. I also feel that it's very much like her to know the words to ALL 5 parts that exist so far, where most people may only know the first one.
I Wrote A Song Using Only Your Instagram Comments (a.k.a. Tears of Lemonade) - Elise Ecklund: If you heard this song just completely with no context, that's kind of what it's like talking to Maddie T a lot of the time tbh. She eats, drinks, and breathes this kind of randomness. I even wrote a scene once that featured her singing this exact song. I picked this one and not either of Elise Ecklund's other Instagram comment songs though because the bridge actually takes a moment to NOT be completely random and silly and just be like. Kind of heartfelt and encouraging and inspirational almost? Which goes to show it's not ALL utter incomprehensibleness in Maddie T's mind. She's pretty smart. She's got some wisdom in there to share if you pay attention. There's method to plenty of her madness. Her riddles do have answers and she does mean to communicate messages through them at times.
"When I close my eyes, I can't see / Life is tough, but we can do it, because we believe / I died in Fortnite, foots not feet / I really miss T-O-P"
I Wrote A Song Using Only Iconic Spongebob Quotes - Elise Ecklund: Maddie T does love to make references. A lot. Like, a lot a lot.
I Wrote A Song Using Only Iconic Vine References - Elise Ecklund: See above.
Gypsy Bard - Friendship Is Witchcraft: It very very much seems like a song she's enjoy. And the spirit of it, having experienced your share of suffering and responding by Staying Silly (:-3) and refusing to let anything keep you from Staying Silly, is very much Maddie T. And this following set of lyrics in particular? So, SO her. Oh my god. I can't emphasize it enough. Fits perfectly in her worldview, literally or metaphorically who's to say, absolutely 100% something she would quote or reference.
"When you're rife with devastation, there's a simple explanation / You're a toymaker's creation trapped inside a crystal ball / And whichever way he tilts it, know that we must be resilient / We won't let them break our spirits as we sing our silly song"
Tommy Innit - CG5: Pretty much EVERY line in this one is a reference. I didn't understand them all until I checked the comments. To some degree it can stand on its own without you knowing the references, they're just like, woven into the lines of what would otherwise be a fairly typical pop song probably. And it DO be a bop. Basically what I'm trying to say is this song is arguably even better of a demonstration of how Maddie T loves to make obscure media references all the time.
Trash Talkin' - YonKaGor and kennyoung: These are artists she would absolutely listen to. And this song by them is about fake people, gossip, and all the general noise of social media and pop culture, absolutely the kinds of stuff she'd be aware of and shaking her head at the stupidity of. And the specific vibe of this song and the specific kind of wording it uses about that is very VERY her. Can 100% imagine her dancing around and singing this to sort of finger-wag and make fun of it all.
"Around the flashy (classy) folks' walkie talkie / Tacky (trashy) talk, trash talkin' / How many of you took the bait? / How many of you can relate? / 'Cause while it's trending (ending), we're all pretending / Sending (pending); it's condescending / Are we playing fair? / Well nobody cares"
Neon Pegasus - Parry Gripp: The combination of pure inspirationalness, silliness and childlike imagination in this song? The specific way it fuses them together? Singing about following your dreams no matter what and rising above everything and everycreature trying to bring you down, expressed in this way through a neon pegasus flying high out of reach of those trying to bring it down which just so happen to include a thousand-armed robot octopus, the Gummy King and his gluten-powered armada, and a genetically modified salamander with a face just like George Clooney? That. Just. That. Is so 100% Maddie T.
"Spread your wings, neon pegasus, and go flying through the night / They can take your glitter but they can't take away your sparkle"
Just Like Fire - P!nk: Every bit of this is exactly Maddie T's attitude going through life as the off-the-walls Cloudcuckoolander that she is, to the surprise of absolutely nocreature. It also do be from the sequel to Tim Burton's adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, and she just so happens to be the daughter of the Mad Hatter, so. Y'know. There's that.
"And people like to laugh at you 'cause they / Are all the same / See I would rather we just go a different way / Than play the game"
Lollipop - Mika: She would absolute vibe to this song, I could absolutely see her dancing and singing to it anywhere and anytime. The specific energy that it has is very her. And the candy metaphors for love and heartbreak are absolutely how she rolls when giving people advice about anything ever. She WILL coat it in riddles and obscure references and whatever the heck, making it sound nonsensical but actually make sense if you think about it. The casual shrugging-it-off-and-laughing "lol don't worry about it, no need to bother with any o' that nasty stuff" attitude towards love-related woes it's singing about is also very her.
"Mama told me what I should know / Too much candy gonna rot your soul / If she loves you, let her go / 'Cause love only gets you down"
Popular Song - Mika: I can see her singing this as a kind of finger-wag and amused eye-roll at any quote-unquote "popular" kids. And the WICKED REFERENCES. The casually making overt theater references in a pop song. That's Maddie T. All the way.
"Popular / I know about popular / It's not about who you are or your fancy car / You're only ever who you were"
Rainbow Veins - Owl City: I feel like with a lot of Owl City songs, there's a lot of flowery language and imagery and metaphors and stuff that's all very whimsical and ethereal and aesthetic, and on first listening for the most part you might kinda get lost in the general vibes of that and the music and maybe not really get exactly what a lot of it is saying, at least not until you look it up on genius lyrics or something, but you get the vibes and they arguably get across enough. I feel like that's a Maddie T thing. This song is no exception to that. And what does get across in this one is good vibes, friendship, and friends lifting each other up when they're down, perhaps especially when you realize on some level you've been experiencing those for the first time in awhile and it's like "huh. this is pretty nice." I have this on my playlist for her friendship with Finley too.
"Cheer up and dry your damp eyes / Tell me when it rains / And I'll blend up that rainbow above you / And shoot it through your veins"
Alligator Sky - Owl City: See the above words about Owl City songs in general. I feel like this is another example of that. This one being about dreaming and living life without limits and stuff.
"Rollercoaster through the atmosphere / I'm drowning in this starry serenade / Where ecstasy becomes cavalier / My imagination's taking me away"
Ayleeuns - Scratch21: A pop rock song about the Area 51 raid, complete with references to Naruto running and Tom DeLonge, made by an indie band of furries? 100% Maddie T kind of song.
We Ran Out of CD Space - Psychostick: It's a song made up of nothing but ridiculous what-if questions for no reason all full of childlike imagination. They can lead to pretty straightforward answers/results/responses some of which the song outright says. Or they can honestly make you think. There's gotta be SO much just like this going in Maddie T's head a lot of the time.
"What if your thumb roared like a dinosaur? / What if you peed out of your nose? / What if your face was shaped like Mexico? / Or trapezoids? / Or Texas and Hawaii? / What if the world was made of other worlds combined into a world just like the world you started with? / What if another world then ate the world made out of donuts, making all the donut people p[***]ed?"
We Think We Know You - Bo Burnham: The taking people's judgemental words and playing with them more and more making it sound less and less like people talking down to him and more and more like just a fun music remix. The throwing all kinds of music on top of that too 'til it pretty much drowns out the words entirely. That's Maddie T. 100%.
The Moss - Cosmo Sheldrake: The entire song is just a frick ton of references to both fun facts from real life and all kinds of nonsensical fiction from nursery rhymes to Alice In Wonderland to Edward Lear poems, and every single one is phrased like it's a myth or legend or folktale. Maddie T talks literally just like this. SO. FREAKING. MUCH.
"But have you heard the story of the rabbit in the moon / Or the cow that hopped up planets while straddling a spoon / Or she who leapt up mountains while whistling a tune / And swapped her songs with swallows while riding on a broom / Well we can all learn things both a many and a-few / From that old hunched-up woman who lived inside a shoe / Or the girl who sang by day and by night she ate tear soup / Or the man who drank too much and he got the brewer's droop"
Lucid Dream - Owl City: See what I said about Owl City songs when talking about Rainbow Veins. This one being about imagination and dreams. The chorus also actually spells things out pretty clearly in this one and I feel like everything it says is so 100% Maddie T.
"Do you believe / In endless miracles? / Do you believe / In the impossible? / Do you believe / Sleep is a time machine?"
Cinematic - Owl City: I think that Maddie T very often makes sense of the world and of life through media, which is why everything is always an opportunity to make an obscure reference only she gets and every tidbit of wisdom she has in her can be made through a reference like that. And I feel like the way this song compares life to a movie fits this so well. Especially with the way it takes that and uses it to say "so get out there and steal that show, be yourself and follow your dreams and give it all you've got, you're the protagonist of your story so make it great." I feel like she would have that kind of outlook.
"Your life is a matinee / In a galaxy far, far away / And your debut is a sold out show, yeah / It's a blockbuster movie and you play the lead role"
Trip a Little Light Fantastic - Mary Poppins Returns: The entire part where the kids are learning "leerie speak" where you say nonsensical stuff that rhymes with what you're actually trying to say is 100,000% Maddie T. That's her kind of language right there. The way she talks is often pretty similar tbh. And the underlying "make the best of things and never give up hope" message of the whole song is her kind of thing too.
"I was short of a sheet / (He was in the street) / Just a tumble down the sink / (Just to get himself a drink) / Then I pinched what's fatter / (He grabbed his ladder) / He smiled and smirked / To work!"
ME! - Taylor Swift: I think, much like Just Like Fire, it might be fairly obvious this one is about her pride in herself and her own uniqueness and being who she is. The music video being as colorful and zany and creative and extra as it is sure helps too.
"But one of these things is not like the others / Like a rainbow with all of the colors / Baby doll, when it comes to a lover / I promise that you'll never find another like me"
Lesbian Ponies With Weapons: This song has more chaotic energy than almost any song I’ve ever heard. It screams “FRICK cringe culture and FRICK the government, I’m going to have fun killing them both with the power of friendship and this chainsaw I found and then I’m gonna throw the biggest song-and-dance party ever on their graves and you’re all invited.” And honestly? Yep. That's Maddie T. She would bop SO hard to this.
"And I just really don't care, put your hooves in the air tonight / I wanna fall in love with everypony, we're gonna set the streets alight"
Whew! That was a lot.
If you wanna see content of Maddie T and my other OCs, I have an OC sideblog @stickystarspectrumtroll-ocs

broppy capture au question
how did the bros and viva feel about branch and poppy being captured seeing as 1. branch or poppy will say poppy name meaning jd will mention it at one point that their brother and his girlfriend poppy is captured, and 2. there is no way viva would stay behind if she knew poppy was captured or she will, who really knows.
The bros are really worried about Branch. They all (minus Floyd) still think of Branch as the baby of the family so they have this image in their head of him being scared and waiting for them to come rescue him like when he was a baby and had a nightmare or something. Floyd views Branch as an adult (like in the movie) but he’s still really worried about him, for obvious reasons, but he feels extra guilty because he’s been knocking about Mount Rageous since before Velvet and Veneer became famous. He feels like he should have known something was up and saved them just because he was nearby, even though that’s unrealistic. Kinda like “It was practically happening right around the corner from me; I should have known, I could have rescued you”.
When John and Bruce come to collect Clay, Viva tries to keep them at Hole ‘N Fun like in the movie, but as soon as Viva hears that the Queen of the Pop Trolls is trapped too (and confirming that her name is Poppy), she agrees to come with them, even though she’s terrified of the outside world. She feels a wild cocktail of ecstatic, relieved, worried and scared the whole time. It’s a bit of a miracle that she’s functioning but she’s got Clay with her to help her stay grounded.
