“Before we walk in...I wanted to do this at the end of the last game, and just stop Yasha, because we're in the back.” For some reason this kept playing over and over in my head. I went back and watched the last about 2 & half minutes of ep 119, give or take. Like with some episodes, you can tell that someone is getting ready to do something or say something just from their demeanor beforehand. At around 3:25:47, Marisha gets this look on her face like she is nervous as hell. Then Matt calls it a little bit after that. At 3:26:27, while Sam, Laura, & Talisen are talking about what to do with the Threshold Crest, Marisha is in her own little world. Looking like Matt just pulled the rug out from under her. She isn’t even paying attention to anyone else at the table except for a glance to her right which could be in Ashley’s direction or Talisen’s. Afterwards she says, “Shit. I have so much more I want to do.” The conversation about the crest is still going on, but she is not a part of it. At all. The last thing she says is “Fuck. Okay. Okay. Okay.” Still has nothing to do with the other conversation, but whatever is going on in her head. It’s like she had psyched herself up to do something & is now having to convince herself she didn’t screw up. Something I feel Beau would actually do. It would have been great to have the show go another 30 minutes to hear what Beau had planned, but glad that it happened the next week. IF Beau had talked Yahsa at that moment, the episode probably would have ended right after & we might have had a different follow up episode. But because she didn’t, in 120 we have those amazing moments from their date conversation, to Yasha throwing her sword, & the interaction between Veth with both Beau & Yasha. All of those could have been lost had the ending of 119 been different.

Knowing that Marisha had this all planned out prior to the episode of Talks with Ashley and Laura makes it that much more interesting to me. Or at least when it aired I should say, since we don’t know when the episodes are taped, its hard to really say. But I love how honest both Marisha & Ashley play these characters when it comes to their feelings for each other. Watching from episode 1, you see how taken aback Beau is with Yasha & vice versa, but then their relationship building is this slow burn that lasts almost 114 episodes when Beau reads the letter & learns of Yasha’s feelings. Granted, there are hints here & there that pretty much all but hit Beau over the head, but coming from someone who doesn’t want to misread someone’s intentions, it makes sense that Beau would wait until it was in black & white. I think that is why so many people are into this relationship because it feels so real & natural & not rushed or made to seem insignificant because it is two woman. That is an amazing thing to see play out. I honestly cannot wait until the next episodes & really hope that they have their date sooner than later, without interruption.

Episode 120 will honestly become one of my top 5 from campaign 2. There are a few reasons outside of the obvious. The retrieval of the Threshold Crest by Yasha. The battle itself was good, everyone lived so that always makes it good. Fjord getting impaled and his reaction to being impaled was awesome. Beau then using his impalement to attack the robot was an epic move. Who cares that it would have caused Fjord pain, just bounce off that sucker to get close. Then Beau gets impaled herself. Trade off. lol. Yasha throwing her sword at said robot. That is all I need say for that. And Caleb got another HDYWTDT. I like his descriptions on the final blow. Caduceus & Beau had a nice conversation afterwards. It actually was pretty profound since it was one of the few times that she has thanked him for healing her & not insulted herself in the process. She also asked him how he was doing with the possessed forest & all. A little moment that meant a lot. Then when Jester lit the forest on fire, I was wondering what would happen to whatever was trapped there. Maybe we will find out later, maybe not, but the forest is gone & so is whatever else is trapped there. That little Fjord Jester moment was cute, whereas the Lucien moment was anything but. He makes me nervous & NOT in a good way at all. When the M9 do finally fight the TT, it will be a very nerve racking battle, especially if they do not have Essek. Dagen is a capable fighter, but against a blood cleric & whatever Lucien is, a powerful wizard would be a good addition. It worries me never the less.

The main reason that this will be a top 5 is all because of Beau & Yasha. From the minute Marisha said that there was something she should have done last game I was hooked on her every word. They have a date for “tomorrow”, what?? The giddiness between the two was amazing & oh so cute. The fact that Yasha confirmed that she liked Beau & in turn Beau admitted she liked her “a lot too.” Hmm.. A lot too. While they were talking, nervously, they both seemed to be able to get what they needed to say out & actually ended the conversation & it wasn’t their normal stumbling into an awkward conclusion. One of the most interesting things is when Veth goes to Beau about hanging out with Yasha, Beau doesn’t bite & knows how invested Yasha is in their date & her, dismissing Veth. It was a great moment of growth for Beau. Yasha on the other hand holds her own against the group in their questioning & doesn’t falter. These are two people who have not had the best relationships in the past. One because of her circumstance in her tribe & the other because her lack of self confidence & self sabotage nature. In each other, they both find someone who builds them up & provides that needed safety that each seeks. Beau has someone who sees her for all the strengths that she has been told are too much for others. Yasha, found someone who she could be open with & who makes her feel safe even though she is very capable. Things that people want & need in their relationships. Makes me happy to see these two idiots finally get to this point & have their second beginning. I do hope that Lucien doesn’t fuck it up for them. Cause that worries me too. And Veth better stay away or Beau might just kill her. Here is to a short break & positive thoughts for the new year.

 I have watched those 15 seconds numerous times. At first, because I couldn’t believe it was real. The other (mumble) times was the reactions on Ashley & Marisha’s faces. I wonder how much of the reaction is Yasha & Beau & how much of it is Ashley & Marisha. Everyone cherishes the moments when they are told, “I love you.” Be it by a parent, a child, a boyfriend or girlfriend, husband or wife. Even by a friend. They are moments that we carry with us always. You can see just how much these two people love each other. How much Ashley sees her friend & how much she respects her & is proud of her accomplishments. It is not lost on Marisha’s admiration for Ashley either. Or how much all eight of them love each other. It shows every Thursday when they are sitting at that table. They are there to support each other wherever the story takes them. And we are honestly so privileged to be along for the ride.

Tomorrow is the “morning after”!!!!! Still can’t get over the fact that Yasha & Beau are fucking Yasha & Beau. I mean. What? I know the show will probably have the first 5 or 10 minutes of craziness with the group asking questions before getting serious. They still have shit to do before they get back the tundra. And yes I am having expectations!! I don’t want them to forget that they have this story line now. That they are they. Hold hands. Snuggle. Sleep in the same fucking room. Talk to each other on watch. Cause now that the date has happened, it can’t be unseen. Not tomorrow or the next Thursday or the next. They fucked up & gave the perfect lez couple in all of the fantasy world. I mean, we need more ‘I love you’s from these two. Granted, Fjord & Jester kissed first, but Beau & Yasha did surpassed that with their amazing ass ninja fighting-starting over-hot tub confession date ever. CANNOT WAIT!!!!

I have watched the first 10 minutes of episode 120 probably more times than I care to admit. It is just one of those moments that will be a defining event of Campaign 2. From episode 1, this was a moment that was slowly in the works & is now here & has happened. I love this moment so much for sooooo many reasons. The fact that everyone is so for this relationship & they wanted this to happen probably just as much as we all did makes it that much better. Yahsa spoke more in the first 30 minutes of this episode than I think she has the entire campaign. At least it feels that way. The one thing that draws me to these first few minutes is, after Beau asks Yasha out on the date & there is a moment right after when Marisha giggles at the reaction that question gets. It’s one of those things that caught my attention right away & was the most genuine thing ever. Both reactions actually.

This is not the first relationship that has come to light in campaign 2. Fjord & Jester has been there as well & they had their flirtations that came to light & the admissions of feeling to others, but not to each other. Then finally it developed into the kiss that played out. It was as natural as anything that could be. The same goes for Beau & Yasha. It just seems like they had more profound moments between them. All the times that Beau asked if Yasha was watching her & asked to be carried & Yasha’s healing of Beau & taking attacks of opportunity to protect her. Not that the in depth talks that Fjord & Jester had did not matter, they do & that was their thing. They did have a few in battle moments as well, I just like the other one better. 

I am curious to see what the next episode will bring & hope that they are able to have their date without any issues, namely Veth or Lucien. I don’t believe that the tower will come in to play either as along as the Tomb Takers are with them. Cause regardless of what Beau has planned, it will be amazing & one of the episodes that will get watched over & over again. 

I’m done being aggravated about people’s reactions from episode 118. I did actually like this episode a lot. The mood that everyone was in was great & made for an amazing episode. I walked into 118 the same as I have the others, no expectations except not wanting anyone to die. That’s it. The little moments where Beau was looking for tundra flowers was sweet & Ashley’s reaction to her search was perfect. Her reaction to the realization that Beau’s theory was correct was on spot also. And Beau’s convo with Caleb about the tower, what is there to say? It will happen in time & like I have read on other posts, it will be worth it. Outside of these two, figuring out more of Lucien’s plan, hearing from Essex (be it through someone else), hearing from Kiri, learning about Beau’s first crush & her first boyfriend (almost every gay chick has had one), knowing that even in that world there are Biological Weapons being developed (Some Resident Evil shit right there), & the pending battle with the mutated baby mammoth thing will have me listing this on was one of my top 10. To me it was a great episode..................... And yes the whole Fjord & Jester deal. It was cute & great the way it played out. I do still wonder though, had Yasha actually stepped up & did that instead what would have happened? How would Beau have felt afterwards with whatever Yasha would have lost if it was more than just years? And would Fjord still had gone to Jesters room? So many questions that we will never get to know. I’m ok with that. Like I said, I’m happy with the episode & will definitely watch it more than once. All the ship haters, fuck off. So I had to add an edit.. I completely forgot about the sledding or shielding or skingorging down the mountain. However you wanna call it. Laughed so hard at this. Veth going off the cliff in Wiley Coyote fashion was epic!!

In episode 1 everyone meets each other in a pub & these fantastic bonds are formed. Some are not as strong as others since Yasha feels the pull of the Stormlord on occasion & leaves the group. She finds her way back. Each time, the bond between her & the rest of the Nein builds. Especially with Beau. Even though she maintains her loyalty to Zuala, Yasha slowly grows closer to the monk without her even realizing it. You see it in her interactions & how she pays attention to Beau in certain moments. It isn’t until she is released from Obann that she’s like “fuck it” I’m not going to keep shoving these feelings down & starts to flirt back. Beau on the otter hand was extremely invested from day 1. When the group goes to get then from Lorenzo & Beau finds Yasha is a great moment, made amazing by Marisha’s reaction. She doesn’t hide her fascination even though she does dial it back a little, but she still allows those feelings to come to the surface. I’m not saying that the other relationships are just as strong. Fjord & Jester’s is a slow build up that I am sure will move forward eventually. But not every relationship is romantic. Beau & Caleb, Jester & Yasha, Veth & Caleb, Caduceus & well everyone. These are all great relationships that I love to watch every episode. The growth they all have is astounding. I think this is why I haven’t ventured into Campaign 1 yet, because I want those relationships to be just as strong as these are. Maybe after the end of this campaign, I’ll dive into 1.  I have been thinking about this conversation between Yasha & Caduceus for about 2 days now. It fits into the events of episode 123 nicely I feel, for all of them, well most of them. There is so much unspoken that lies between the members of the Mighty Nein that it needs to be put out there. Most of it revolves around the fact that Fjord & Jester do love each other beyond what they are letting on. It might just be the fact that Travis & Laura are married & constantly making those damn heart eyes at each other, but it translates very well into their characters. Caleb has his own secrets that need to be let out, but he doesn’t seem like he will regret anything if time for him does run out. Same goes for Veth. Caduceus, I don’t feel like is hiding some deep dark secret either. He is pretty much an open book.

For Beau & Yasha, they should take the events of 123 & realize that what Cad said on that patio in Rexxentrum rings true for them. Time is something that everyone takes for granted, regardless of where you are & what you are doing. With the M9, they are in a frozen hellscape with death lurking around every corner almost (depends on the roll). It is a possibility that time is running short & they are non the wiser. Leaving words unspoken, love unsaid can weigh very heavily on someone. That sounds really dark & I don’t mean for it to be, but it is the truth.  Hopefully they will make an opportunity to have a much-needed conversation about their future, feelings, & all the things left hanging in the cold wind of Aeor. I want this to happen, but I don’t hold expectations. Even though I don’t want a 5 hour long episode, I do wish for at least a 4 hour one. Here’s to hoping!!

 Episode 124 started out pretty tumultuous with them being chased by Lucien & the TombTakers. So close in fact that magic missed them on a few occasions but does manage to hit Jester who is an owl & pulls her back 10 feet. That to me is just a little too close for comfort. I won’t lie, was a little nervous that the TT would actually catch up to them & finish the fight. Glad that they used some evasive tactics to gain some ground & give them a little time to figure things out & get the stone teleported to wherever it went cause it missed Yudala by a bit I think. Them getting to Essek was a good move for them as well. Even though I have some reservations about the whole teleporting in & out of Eiselcross, they really have no choice but to leave & come back. Regardless of what risks they may face in the journey, stopping the TT from completing their mission is more important. It is interesting that Essek is in the position that he is. Instead of having him jailed or even executed, they send him to a desolate ice hell even though he is technically a spy who committed war crimes. Why send a good person when you can send a criminal? He will prove to be a valuable asset in the fight against Lucien, but still not a trustworthy individual. Depending on who the gang gets to help them, it will be a very interesting next few episodes.

The main thought that is on almost everyone’s mind though is with the prospect of some down time in Nicodranas, will Beau & Yasha take advantage & go on their long awaited date? It would be nice for these two to have some alone time together. If that be a date or a conversation somewhere uninterrupted, that would be amazing. And since it is the same week of Valentine’s Day, that would make it even better. I am not expecting anything outside of those two things because getting one’s hopes up & then having them dashed is horrible. I do see them getting some alone time since Veth will be able to see Yezza & Luc. Jester can go see her mom & drag Fjord with her since she does have news & a need to explain her longer horns. Cad did say he would check with the Wildmother everyday until he found out if the TT found another crest. Caleb can try to discover some new spells. With everyone out doing their own thing, why wouldn’t our favorite little lezs have some much-desired alone time? No pressure on Marisha & Ashley to roleplay the fuck out of this time in Nicodranas though. Only 2 days left to see!!

Tomorrow is Thursday. The last CR for the year & for the next few weeks. It’s amazing just how impactful a show can be on a group of people & how involved the community can be. It’s pretty interesting. It will be a lonely few weeks of watching prior episodes & trying to catch things that I might have missed on the original watch. Hoping for a good show tomorrow & some BeauYasha nuggets. We had a few this past episode & they were good ones. No expectations tomorrow. Maybe a little, it would be nice for them to talk about something that was meaningful. Maybe.

TOMORROW IS THURSDAY!!! Not that I am projecting that anything will happen on CR tomorrow with Beau & Yasha. Not that I am hoping for a meaningful convo between these two idiots in love. Not that I am looking forward any type of cute little moment that shows that this is still something that will eventually happen. Yeah... I’m expecting anything tomorrow.

I know I am a bit early since it is only Monday, but I am hoping for some good Beau Yasha moments for Thursday. I have been a fan of both of these two dorks from day one & have seen such tremendous growth from each. It doesn’t have to be a confession of love or even a “Hey, I read you letter.” It can be the playful banter that has happened during battle for all I care. Except Beau can’t say “Yasha, are you watching?” because she knows full enough well that she is. It would be nice. Will it happen? Who the hell knows. I do think though when it does, it will be worth the wait. I can understand though why nothing has happened yet. Beau is not someone who is use to having someone pay heartfelt compliments to her, especially someone who she is more than attracted to & someone who she basically could see herself having a relationship with. Keg & Reani were just moments where as Yasha would be a lot more than a moment. She had no problem flirting with either one of them & responded when they flirted back. When Yasha, in her own odd way, flirts with Beau it stops her in her tracks & she doesn’t know how to react without stumbling all over herself. This has made for some awesome situations between the two. Actually, I will be happy with a BeauYasha check in. Especially if they run into Lucien again. No, Beau needs to check in with Yasha regardless since no one did last episode. Make sure her girl’s ok. Here’s to a great episode 118. Is it Thursday yet?

Jester & Fjord..... Watching Laura & Travis when other people have their moments during an episode is so interesting. They both are completely invested in the major events that take place. For instance, when Yasha flies up to catch Beau. Jester is all for it from the get go & Fjord follows her lead. It’s endearing & shows how much they support that pairing. Like good friends, they also support the other members of the Nein in their own endeavors. I picked the moment with Beau & Yasha because that was a moment that caught my attention recently. I love the characters of Fjord & Jester, they are great wingmen & best friends & just all around awesome people.

Way to go Travis!!! Proud of you!!!
