D&D Mosaic Triptych
So back before Hasbro and Wizards shoved their entire leg in their mouths I made these mosaics for my husband’s Xmas gift. I’ve hesitated to post them because a lot of people have justifiably soured on D&D, but I worked really hard on them and I’m proud of the work I did despite the recent bout of D&D related jackassery.

Tree One-Shot
Me, wood elf sorceress, a human rouge and a human (npc) bard vs. one magical tree!
DM: rolls to hit sorceress, Nat 20
DM: rolls damage, 30
sorceress ooc: I only have 26 hp
DM: you go down instantly. You’re rolling death saves
sorceress turn is immediately after tree
sorceress: rolls, Nat 20!
DM, smiling: alright. You come back with 1 hp. You almost pass out but you manage to fight it off
sorceress ooc: I know how that feels

This roll was so clutch! This is TWELVE successes! That is just insane. I have never rolled so well in my life and will never roll so well again.

god and how FUCKED is it that the succession ultimately hinged on shiv’s choice, but it was actually no choice at all. your brother (empty husk groomed for power his whole life) or your husband (empty husk who craved power his whole life). for five minutes she had the most power in the room, but it was actually nothing.

Thinking about Caleb “I-use-people’s-full-names-to-show-intimacy” Widogast and the way he calls Veth “Veth the Brave.” It’s not all the time—it’s rarely used, actually, saved for specific moments, only when he’s using the fondest of tones, with the most admiration, and how calling her that is more intimate than just “Veth Brenatto.” Because Veth the Brave is both of her identities. It’s Nott and it’s Veth, it’s their co-mingling, it’s her in her entirety. Veth the Brave. That’s why it’s so intimate, because he is speaking to all of who she is
