Sam’s gas can this week features a poorly drawn illustration of a unicycle with the words “I’m wheelie sorry…” written over it.

[ID: A total of four tweets from Matthew Mercer @.matthewmercer which together read: “Its all good! What I ask folks to keep in mind is that, paramount to ANYTHING at the table… I only wish to cultivate the fun of my players at the table. They have all expressed their love of real stakes and possible loss, as it defines real meaning for the victories. This combat was intended to be VERY difficult. Choices, circumstances, & the luck of the dice led to a tense pillar in the current story. The ramifications of this fight will likely echo for some time, both in game and out. Even so, I check in with my players every chance I can. But whenever a player character is lost, the most important questions I ask a player are: “What do you want to do? Which direction is most fun for you? Do you wish to explore another character/story? Continue this story through a new character? Or seek to reclaim this character?” Whatever they choose, I will find a way to make it work. Communication is key to such stressful and possibly dark moments in your game. If everyone isn’t onboard, it isn’t worth pursuing. <3” /end ID]
Gentle reminder that you can feel your feelings, whatever they are, over the death of characters at the table, but to say that Matt is cruel and harming his players is factually incorrect. 🙂

Just know there is trust and agreement at our table for this game and the challenges it offers. The darkest moments often lead to the brightest epiphanies. Love you all. <3” /end ID]

Best pal, my sweet cheese, love of my life, platonic soul mate, Bear left right Frog... Any predictions on next week's episode? I have ...lots. But am also not okay. And I almost bought a planner with Liam's cover last night. And then didn't. AND LIAM GOT CHOKED UP. I hereby bequeath you all my worldly possessions. Because that's when I died.
I’m taking your dice and I will roll them in your highest honor. Also your car, thanks.
Unpopular opinion probably, but I’m not too worried. They have more than enough diamonds to get everyone back up (even Laudna), and if they organize the rez order right (which I’m sure they will), they should have enough spell slots too. We know FCG was holding one slot specifically for Revivify; if they use it to bring Fearne back, Fearne has Revivify permanently prepped (thanks to being a Wildfire druid), and if I counted correctly, she should still have enough slots left to perform it twice more. There’s also no element of willingness involved with Revivify; whether Orym wants to come back or stay with his husband and father doesn’t matter—at least not mechanically.
Matt is the wildcard here. In the past, big resurrections have needed rituals with elements of chance, but simple revives haven’t. That may have changed between this campaign and the last, as is Matt’s right to decide. There’s also a small question of whether Laudna’s undead status and the fact that she’s already died at least once will create unforeseen story elements that aren’t necessarily part of the mechanics. Plus the description of the final moments of the episode, everything shimmering apart, and what that means for everybody (and their resources). I’ve seen some ppl theorize it might be revealed that the fight was just a dream, and… maybe? But I sincerely hope not, I can’t picture an outcome where that doesn’t feel inauthentic.
So. We’ll just have to wait and see! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are we at all worried about Chetney having to make saving throws against the wolf from being so low on hp? (If we pick back up where they left off, and not on the moon or in an alternate reality or whatever)
Without considering what fuckery they might be facing when we pick up next week, Chetney wolfing out doesn’t concern me too much. It’s still a possible threat, but also his bloodlust feature technically only applies during combat. I feel like “I’m going to attack my party every six seconds while they try to resuscitate our dead friends until someone heals me for at least 27 hit points out of our single health potion and three spell slots” just wouldn’t make for a very fun session for anyone, players, viewers and DM alike.
On the other hand, Ashton has a +2 magic weapon (and Chetney only has 3 hp left), Fearne has a reasonable animal handling skill, and there’s rope somewhere in the party. If Chetney does still have to fight his beast, there are a few options left to subdue him.
EDIT: @w00dlandwitch just reminded me in the comments, Chetney reverted back to his gnome form after he went unconscious! And he can only transform once per rest, so wolf!Chet is no longer on the table until the next rest happens!
