Thornton Legacy
Generation 1 super update - part two
After Desirae was born, Amber decided they needed a little more space, so they upgraded to a double wide in Oasis Springs.
Not long after, Kyle Kyleson showed up at Amber's door for a random stayover, so obviously he was her next love interest. They fell in love and got engaged, and soon Amber found herself pregnant again.
Unfortunately, while Amber was still pregnant, Kyle got eaten by a cowplant. He didn't make it. (Sorry for the cell phone video, I forgot you could take videos in game, lmao)
After Kyle's death, Willie was born.
Amber stayed good friends with both of her previous exes. While Amber was in mourning over Kyle, Faiz came over for a visit. They autonomously woohooed and Amber ended up pregnant again. They did not get back together, but remained good friends.
Amber gave birth to Emmett, her second child with Faiz.
Shortly after Emmett was born, Amber met Salim Benali. They fell deeply in love. I don't remember if they got engaged before or after Amber got pregnant, but both of those things happened in some order.
Amber gave birth to twins, Ray (left) and Cole (right). I do not have an adult photo of Cole because, spoiler alert, he's dead. (We will get to that.)
Amber received another mysterious phone call, once again saying she would receive an inheritance if she got married in 7 days. She and Salim were already engaged, so they got married. This time, she only got $30k.

That noise was Breena having a coughing fit.
She came home from school with a cold earlier today and apparently it turned into pneumonia as she was sleeping.
I’m SO upset!

Brad: “Hex Quick, you are so sick! You’re the one I’d always pick! You’re a cool chick -“
Hex: “Enough! Just…enough!”
Weatherly folds his arms over his chest, huffing with a heavy laugh. Brad ignores her and launches into another verse of terrible rhymes. Hex mimics him, using her hand like a shadow puppet. She swoops it towards Weatherly, pretending her hand is singing to him. Brad hits a high note, making them both cringe.
Brad: “I love youuuuuuuuuuuu!”
Hex: “I love the silence. Brad, your singing attracts the Grim Reaper as you sound like you’re screaming in pain!”
Brad slowly and dramatically lowers his guitar. He stares at Hex with the saddest puppy dog eyes, but she pays no attention. She’s on a roll with mean interactions with no sign of stopping!
Hex: “I’ve heard more in tune sounds when a sim gets swallowed by a cowplant! The Mother Plant has a better singing voice than you! Your level one guitar skill needs serious work -“
Before she can continue, Brad howls in pain and flees back into the house. Hex bursts out laughing, drawing Weatherly in too. His best friend’s evil trait gets her into huge trouble, but does come in handy. Brad will know she’s not interested!
Weatherly feels a small amount of pleasure knowing that Hex isn’t interested in anyone who hits on her…

Introducing Pancakes TV™ Season Four: Grim’s Golden Acres
all your favorite townies have reached that magical time in any sim’s life … retirement! and what a better place to do it than the Grim Reaper’s very own luxury retirement home, Golden Acres. It has all the amenities; sauna, private butler, killer cowplants, a home gym, a pond filled with piranhas, etc! Will these sims live up their golden years or come face to face with a grim reality?
Coming to a blog near you, March 16th!
Note: If you remember my Pancakes TV seasons in the past this is going to be a little different (and if not you won’t have to have followed in the past to keep up). This is not a bachelor challenge and while Bob Pancakes is included, he’s not the star. It’s kind of a modified asylum challenge (but definitely not that because yuck). In a nutshell, the only sim I control here is Grim and everyone else’s actions can earn (or remove) the days remaining in their lifespan. I suppose the “goal” is to be the last sim standing but my goal is complete chaos. More detailed rules will be under the cut. I hope you guys will enjoy because I’m having an absolute blast with it!
hi nerds now here are the rules. Each sim starts out with 0 days in their age bar. Each day that passes each sim will obviously naturally “lose” a day BUT certain actions can increase or decrease the number of days they have remaining. These are the categories:
Every skill point gained: +1
Completing level 5 of a skill: +2
Completing level 10 of a skill: +3
Friendship gained: +2
Serious negative event (ex. bladder failure): -1
Becomes disliked by another sim: -1
Sim gains a new fear: -1
Sim becomes enemies: -2
At 6pm (approx.) each day I calculate each sim’s points and adjust their days remaining accordingly (thanks MCCC). I filled the lot with lots of items to aid in their demise and added some chaotic lot challenges too. After week 1 and after the first sim dies the rules do change slightly .... but we’ll get there when we get there teehee.

New Lore Following Ophelia Nigmos
Alright, so I’m about to use this account as a notebook for my new lore stories. Sims 4 doesn’t have nearly as much lore as it should so I’ve taken it upon myself to put a new spin on lore.
So we all remember Olive Specter from Sims 2 (most likely a serial killer especially to her poor husbands, baby with the grim reaper, took in her niece Ophelia after her parents died, we stan). I had the idea of making some lore that takes place years after Olive’s death. Here’s an example of the family description:
“On Olive Specter’s deathbed, she spilled her secrets to her niece Ophelia. Ophelia was mortified at the depraved things Olive had done for who she had loved. Desperate to find out more answers, Ophelia dug as much as she could into Olive’s past. She found her cousin, Nervous Subject, and helped him escape the cruel Beakers’ clutches, landing them straight into prison for what they’d done. Some time later, she married her childhood sweetheart Johnny Smith. They all moved in together and became a real family, Nervous included. Today, that family unit threatens to break apart. After years of obsession into Olive, Ophelia never found all of the answers. She never found out the truth about her parents and if Olive had anything to do with their deaths. At this point, there’s only one person left that has the answers she’s looking for... the Grim Reaper himself. But what lengths will she go to to speak with him? How much of Olive is in Ophelia after being with her for so long? Will she follow in her footsteps or right her wrongs? Who is the mysterious woman leaving letters in Ophelia’s mailbox asking for her help, claiming to have known Olive? And where’s Johnny going so late some evenings, not returning until the early morning?”
It’s a long description, I know, but here’s how I’m thinking this can play out. I had a separate idea for a spellcaster (or regular sim) woman who’s been alive for hundreds of years because she keeps feeding sims to her cowplant (since it gives you a youth potion once someone is eaten by a cowplant twice in a short amount of time; Mother Gothel vibes). Perhaps Olive wasn’t working alone in her quest of romance to the grim reaper. Maybe they helped each other. The woman got her youth potion, and Olive got to see Grim often. Perhaps the woman now is going too long without youth potions since she’s not personable enough to lure as many sims to her cowplant like Olive was. Perhaps she wants Ophelia to be the new Olive.
Perhaps Ophelia can follow in Olive’s footsteps starting with Johnny. She might think he’s having some kind of affair (whether or not you make it true in your game) which would prompt her to work with the woman to feed him to her cowplant. I thought Ophelia would make a good detective (get to work) or perhaps some kind of investigator (CC, or paranormal). Maybe she can work to resurrect her parents (their graves are in Olive’s backyard; you can go into CAS and create them), or Olive herself.
Another potentially interesting household to play during this is perhaps the Beakers in prison maybe with some other prisoners from your world, then they could break out. I saw Maxis had a household for them already created with two clone children so that could be an interesting storyline, since cloning is possible in Sims 4 with GTW. It could be a random child in the world.
So there are some potentially interesting storylines to play that more or less follow the existing lore with some extra twists. I hope you like it! Let me know if you want to hear more! I have a whole bunch of these types of storylines I’ll be posting. I’m essentially using this as brainstorming for myself. I might also link the plum tree family with individual descriptions like I did for the Goth family soon.
