I would fucking love Clear Sky and potentially have him as my favourite villain…. If the Erin’s fucking let him stay a villain! Wtf is this redemption bs?
Simple: You're fundamentally good or fundamentally evil in the eyes of the writers. Nuanced questions are very rarely asked. Clear Sky was So Very Sad so all of his actions were painted as understandable and well-meaning, unlike the stinky foreigners who just love murder.
Good people can do bad things but you can't condemn them for it because bad people do bad things worse.
The writers are abuse apologists. They consistently downplay the abuse of their male characters, and so think that their character who most closely resembles a real life predator is "just misunderstood" and will be fixed by religion and an obedient, young wife to serve him.
In a nutshell, it's just terrible writing in support of horrible ideas.

So this one was originally from my build an elf 2 poll but i realize you guys might not have seen it bc it probably got cut off with the shorten long posts, so i figured i would re post it as a separate one!
#silm#silmarillion#galadriel#old art rb#not really but its a repeat post so ill tag it anyway#fun details:#the bluish color of her cape and shield is the color i use for a lot of teleri#its both a sea/water color and a nice contrast to the fire#which is there bc i like to imagine that feanor also burnt the buildings finwe helped olwe build#the design on her shield and armor is a somewhat modified version of finarfin's rayed device#the decorative designs on her armor marks it as something she never thought would have to see real battle in valinor#before this it was mostly ceremonial armor and for fun sparring with the cousins#the wide sash with a thin belt is an element of a lot of doriathrim and telerin outfits#inspiration courtesy of @lycheesodas#but the metal plate in the middle replacing the telerin beads is a more noldorin element#anyways sorry if you're seeing this again

I have a sudden desire for some sort of tragic one piece romance between two kids whose islands are practically next to each other .... On opposite sides of the calm belt.
They become pen pals for some reason and if they're lucky the birds can make it back and forth.... But they build this relationship knowing the entire time that the chances they'll ever get to meet in person are non-existent. On a clear day they can almost imagine they see the mountains of the other island in the far horizon, but it would be months and years of dangerous travel to get from one to the other
I also want the culture clash of grand line normal vs everywhere else in the world normal lmaoooo like 'yeah so I was using a compass the other day-' 'what the fuck is a compass??' 'what do you MEAN what the fuck is a compass how do you travel anywhere without a compass????' 'i mean we mostly don't travel anywhere. On account of the sea monsters and spontaneous cataclysmic weather events. Like at least on our island we KNOW when the volcano is gonna erupt and can get some distance for the day, idk what any other islands do about the knife-shaped hail storms or the venomous land eels those sound rough' '??????????????!!!?!?!???'

the combination of the tanline + the way the lighting in the hero gallery work its just like. buddy. dude. mi amor. also points in the first oje of this set you can see his beautiful crotch belt i am so fascinated by his clothing decisions i genuinely need to fuck him so bad its not even funny.

Some additional tokusona storyline designs--Top two are Tul's Toku form, Dyvaman. The one without the bandanna is when he's still with White Dusk, the antagonist organization. Bottom design is Dr. Rayhawk Karman, the mad scientist who created Tul and the Aerosats. There's also the logo for White Dusk.

My jacket shipped 8)
#textpost#I don't think one pot of leather paint's gonna be enough to solidly coat the whole thing...#Maybe I'll be able to run up to the art store n get more and maybe a better painting sponge too this weekend or something#It took about 1/4th the jar of white paint to do the base coat on the cyberskull on my current jacket#so I think 2 jars should be enough to coat the whole thing#I'm gonna leave some parts of it the original black for contrast#Like the belt and the inner part of the sleeve zipper and under the side laces#Oh and a border on the collar too#Idk if I'll paint a design on the back yet or not#It might be too much paint after turning it red and it'll start crackign#There's only one spot on my current jacket where I've painted it and it cracked and it's because I did like 5 layers right in the elbow lol
