My words were small, sit, walk, wind, grain, and goal.
From WARRIOR:
Small and Walk:
The Engineer handed the smaller man a pair of cuffs, which would bind Lug’s wrists together and encase his hands in metal. “Put these on him.”
“Do they do anything?”
“Of course not. These are for the soldiers’ peace of mind as we walk him through populated areas. Not to worry, though; we’ve expended much of his energy during testing today. I am still waiting for you to put them on, Junior Engineer.”
Sit:
The Repair Units raised their brows, cocking their heads in twin curiosity. Briar swallowed. This was a huge breach of privacy, but Circuit seemed adamant in staying on Dracuri, and he wasn’t going to just sit here silently when he could do something for someone in danger.
Not again.
Wind (a long one since I like it):
“You scared of me, little guy?” asked Lug. “I’m not gonna hurt ya.”
“Be quiet, Lug,” the Engineer snapped, and Lug obeyed.
Lug's walks to and from the bunker were his favorite parts of testing. As soon as he got outside, there were birds! And there was also wind, and usually the gentle warmth of the sun on his synthetic skin. Sometimes there was rain! He liked the way the droplets registered like cool static.
Circuit was always in the lab, and Sharpe was usually in the shooting range, but the bunker was Lug’s home sweet home. This was where they stuck him when they didn’t want him around. When Lug asked the Engineer why it was so dark, he’d said there was no need to light it up if only Lug was going to use it, which had made him sad. He would’ve liked some lights. Or at least a window.
I couldn't find grain or goal, so I'm passing those along!

My words were escape, beyond, trap, allow, run, pack, light, float, and yellow.
From WARRIOR:
Escape:
Sapio City, Kalnoth. Its very name pressed in on Eleni, crushing her into the dirt of those dignified Kalnothi alleys. Even in her dreams, she couldn’t escape that past, couldn’t escape the way her stomach twisted and writhed with emptiness, forcing her into the shops with her roaming hands and deep pockets.
Beyond:
“You must still be hurting from the Airbase, Pather Ozz-rek,” [Briar] said, thinking of all the laser bolt hits she’d taken yesterday. She still limped, though she didn’t complain beyond making a face every so often.
Trap:
[Sharpe] remembered the need to be with the War Machines, which Ozz-rek had dragged to the surface and strengthened. It had been his highest priority somewhere beyond his code, soothed only when he found Mobo trapped in a H’runggr prison.
Run:
The sisters huddled in the dark together, their hearts pounding against one another’s chests, and Beyy-ma thought maybe this was a mistake, they were being dramatic, there was no need to run away, they had a family who loved them and just didn’t understand—
The ship rumbled in her bones as it rose. Beyy-ma stopped breathing.
Light:
“Not only are most of us far shorter than any Dracurian,” answered Circuit, his head tilted oddly to see through his scratched helmet, “but our armor is damaged and unfashionable. The inhabitants of Iggsil wear what appears to be a type of coral embedded in their suits, as well as artfully placed lighting to accentuate it. We must look like clumsy tourists with bad taste. Which we are.”
Float:
[Eleni] watched them float above, fuzzy and saying things like rupture, perforated, heartrate, emergency. The words snaked under the sound of her own heartbeat.
Yellow:
“And village royalty always has hospitality in mind first and foremost,” said Lord Chi-Kunn. The yellow of his eyes flicked from android to android. “However, I must reiterate what my wife said to the cubs. Night is falling. Are you staying in the village tonight, or leaving?”

It was with as deep a breath as [Briar's] stinging chest would allow that he laid his free hand over Claw’s forehead and closed his eyes, steadying himself, clearing away the distractions of laser fire and the crush of Sharpe’s hand.
Pack:
The storefront Circuit took them to was massive, its maze of shelves packed with neatly-organized tech. Claw’s eyes roamed over the walls and ceiling, and Mobo squinted whenever they saw a drone part, oddly intent. Briar expected Claw’s concentration, but not Mobo’s. He’d have to remember to ask about that later.

Last Line Tag

I feel like the entire writeblr community tagged me lol. I couldn't write for a while, but I've finally gotten back into it and I've missed it so much.
From WARRIOR:
The bunk room lights buzzed to life as the door swished closed behind Circuit. A flutter of white caught the edge of his visual sensors, but there would be no point in turning to look at himself in the mirror on the wall. He knew what he would see.
Monster.
Circuit ran his hands along the lapel of the lab coat, feeling the battle-weathered texture of the armor beneath. His movements were stiffer than they used to be. There was dirt in his servos, dust and carbon scoring, and he wished he could have spent more time in the lab. Just a little more time to clean them all up, fix them, repair the damage.
They'd never get the chance, now.
Far too much information assaulted his databanks, all of it horribly subjective: Briar's face, the influence of the jewel, the effect of Proto on the group, what happened to his heart drive every time Mobo said "[spoiler]." Too much. His hands tightened on the lapels and, avoiding the mirror, he slipped the coat from his shoulders and folded it carefully, perfectly, laying it on the foot of the bed.
Without the lab coat, he felt oddly cold, though his temperature sensors hardly registered a difference.
He was being irrational. The best thing for him to do was power down and consolidate all this information. After a few hours of sorting through the data, he would be able to face the others with the judiciousness he was built for.

Word Find Tag
Thanks for the tag, @oh-no-another-idea and @drabbleitout! My words were bloom, blanket, stare, warmth, lead, linger, loose, lump, and law.
From WARRIOR:
Blanket:
The engine screamed as Mobo lashed his fingers over Circuit’s control wheel and wrenched the Warrior’s nose toward clouds that would blanket them. Briar couldn’t pick out the words Circuit had for Mobo over the noise.
Stare:
Humans went mad from battle and pain, not androids. Sharpe should have been immune to such “responses.” Proto’s glitchiness must have transferred over to him somehow, like a computer virus. She’d infected him with her dead-eyed stare and fixed, unnatural smile.
Warmth:
Pulled by the strings of [Eleni's] influence, her soldiers rushed for her, their nebulous forms surrounding her with warmth. They must have carried her into the safety of the medical bay, because the too-bright haze of delirium went from gray to green the next time she opened her eyes.
Lead:
“Yes,” growled Sharpe, leading him to the escape pods. He pointed at the empty spot where one of them would have nestled, clenching his other fist. “He took off in one of these. I couldn’t stop him. I was too late.”
Couldn’t? Or didn’t? With all the evidence against Sharpe ringing in his head, Mobo just squinted. He really did seem agitated. Still…
Linger:
[Briar's] backpack was under his bed, just as he’d left it. He’d spent a lot of time holed up in this room and didn’t want any of those memories to freeze him up. He did his best not to let his gaze linger too long on anything, haphazardly dumping the food and water he’d taken from downstairs into the bag.
Loose:
A silhouette rose from the smoke and turned to him.
It staggered, fell to its knees. Briar glimpsed navy skin as its hands undid his harness’s buckles. The too-tight pressure loosened.
Sharpe grabbed his arm and pulled him to the cooler and clearer air on the floor, rasping, “Stay down. Crawl to the door.”
Lump:
The army base was a lump of rubble on the horizon, lit from the outside by spotlights. [Briar] couldn’t read the sign they’d erected from this distance, but it was the same Construction Zone orange as the ribbons of tape fencing in the building. That meant the spindly, silhouetted forms sticking out its sides were probably those of construction equipment. That was a rare sight outside the center of Winstad.

Bloom:
The Engineer returned to consciousness, dreaming of something long past, and through the pain of the memories bloomed a warmth he hadn’t realized he’d missed. The memory clasped its effervescent hand around his chest and dug deep, deep.
Law:
It’d be easy, Mobo thought as he eyed the Dracurian law enforcement officers. They disabled the electroshield with their guns trained on him, their armor glowing uniform blue. I bet their fancy armor’s not so tough. I could take them out, grab the parts, hotwire their transport, and be back to the ship before the bodies get cold. Maybe he would have even tried it if he didn’t have a kid to think about.
