A bunch of Pokémon symbiosis into fusion evolutions (I guess??) that I started doing while waiting for leaks the other day. We got: -Wailmer with Binacle legs that helps it walk around on land. The evolution is sort of like a reverse submersible (one of those with robot arms) -Bulbasaur with a Bellsprout taking root in its bulb. The Bulbasaur shares nutrients so it evolves into a leaner artillery dude. -Dwebble possessed by a sandygast that evolves into a wizard tower. -Spoink that lost its pearl but made friends with a voltorb, evolving into a tesla coil pig thing. -Cutiefly parasitizing a Combee, evolving into a bug/ghost guy with bee spirit rocket launchers. I don’t wanna bother the guy, but I should really mention that the Bulbasaur idea partly comes from @bogleech‘s enigma mons, since I wanted to try and use one of those. Also I learned about beeflies being parasitic reading his pokemon reviews.

pokemon that are just multiple little dudes are great. 10/10 idea.

but the fact that some of them?? lose members when they evolve?

uhhhhh. what's going on with these guys.

ok for the hydreigon line: the two heads of zweilous do not like each other. one of the dex entries says that the one that eats more gets to be leader, so that could be the answer to that mystery. hydreigon may have three heads, but it only has one brain! maybe the two brains just fuse together then? but how does that factor into its personality?

if the heads of exeggutor fall off they can continue as exeggcute, according to the pokedex, so maybe only three of the eggs evolve at a time? but i watched an anime clip and they all just become one being--maybe it's just them getting fused together? but even if only three evolved at a time, they wouldn't show it like that because it would make them stand out against other pokemon. it's kind of spooky to imagine that some of them simply cease existing, so im hoping it's the fusion route.. although headcanon wise the idea of them splitting up is kind of interesting and more logical

ok combee and vespiquen leave the most up to interpretation in my opinion. i'm going to headcanon that only the head with the little orange-red triangle is female, so only that member evolves. but more importantly WHAT IS UP WITH VESPIQUEN'S DEX ENTRIES?? it has grubs inside of it that AREN'T COMBEE apparently. but what are they? baby combee?? that would make the most sense, but of course for ease of game mechanics that wouldn't be implemented. the pokedex just says. grubs. this is a reoccurring thing. and vespiquen controls the grubs, so im erring on the side of them not being combee and being something else altogether. how strange!
