I got a shit ton of writing done (four pages!), then I managed to clean for nearly an hour, and then I showered and did a full skincare routine for not just my face, but my entire body! “Peaches why are you saying this like it’s an accomplishment, any regular person can do that shit” well I’m Way Below a Regular Person, so I’m proud of myself 😌

My bathroom shelves are organized at last and my skin is soft and almond blossom-scented, plus I may be able to post a fic by week’s end. I’m gonna call that a win!

#i uh. also found a REALLY nice smelling cologne at bealls for $12. and a sexy black skirt at cato for $4 #I even got bust out my fragrance knowledge to the cashier! she sniffed it and noted it smelled nice #and I was able to identify its primary notes on the spot (black pepper tobacco and some sort of citrus — mandarin maybe?)#she didn’t ask but she at least ACTED impressed 😂#thank you for humoring me bealls cashier lady! you put a little extra pep in my step #peaches screams into the void

Is it just me or is enjoying scents like starting to like beer? The way I (maybe personally?) started with light beer and now the only way I really enjoy beer is if it’s some scrungly-ass IPA?

How it started: oh, this perfume smells like vanilla, how nice, I am a pretty cupcake :)

How it’s going: I need this small-batch unisex fragrance to smell like someone took a fig, smoked it in a bong, buried it in a bog, and then a Finnish dude dug it out to use as fuel while making birchbark tar

(This is about Ffern’s Autumn 2023 btw and I thought was joking about the birch tar but my nose doesn’t lie to me. I looked at the website when I grabbed the URL and they list birch tar as an ingredient)

“Viride” by Orto Parisi

This is hands down the best green scent I have ever experienced and my favorite from the Orto Parisi brand. It doesn’t smell groundbreaking in terms of uniqueness and originality. Rather it comes off as having extremely good quality ingredients and being superbly well blended. It’s such a smooth woody green, fresh clean scent. A forest after heavy rain, damp soil. Humid air that makes the cold feel sharper and more invigorating.

Only thing I will add is that while these perfumes are marketed as unisex I tend to think they lean extremely masculine. I can’t imagine wearing this but I will introduce my boyfriend to it in future. Very energizing perfume.

d'annam discovery set arrived and these perfumes are honestly so so gorgeous I'm kind of blown away....my favorites of the bunch are white rice vietnamese coffee and da lat which I was not expecting at all just based on my general preferences....just so genuinely lovely

#da lat really surprised me because it's so juicy & beautiful & youthful. florals are hard for me but this is so well constructed #the way I'd rank them so far is: white rice > vietnamese coffee > da lat > monsoon tea > harvest season > pho breakfast #in the garden > through the forest > phu quoc #the last one being the only one I actively dislike because all my nose is getting is generic blue men's cologne unfortunately #now I have a problem though because I'm gonna wanna buy several of these 😭 please make a 30 ml size d'annam pleeease #fragrance

scent of the day: ganymede (marc-antoine barrois)

we've all seen the post about ganymede, of course i had to test it for scent of the day.

i agree that this smells like money. not as in luxury, but as in actual bills that have been folded inside a leather wallet for a while, plus the metallic, almost-fizzy zing of coins. a bit like rubber, too. feels like a hi-tech sci-fi prosthesis grafted onto a much more standard herbal-aquatic cologne; i definitely get the osmanthus, woods and mandarin more and more as the scent unfolds. a reviewer on fragrantica said it smells a bit like a freshly printed glossy magazine, and weirdly enough, it does.

when it first went onto my skin i was immediately skeptical; mineral/metallic notes are usually scrubbers for me. i gave it a chance, though, and it mellowed out enough for me to wear, though i knew from the get-go this was never going to be a favourite. i was merely intrigued by all the hyperbolic reviews it got, and i agree it's an odd little fragrance. it has projection and longevity in spades, so whether or not you like it, you and everyone nearby will be smelling it. worth it if you like more masculine scents and want to feel like a character in an aasimov novel. the more i smell it, the more i get it.

Emergency Custom Fragrance Sale to Save My Best Friend’s Life

hey everyone, my name is ren and his is my special little buddy hocus pocus

he’s been by my side for years and he’s my best friend. recently we’ve had issues with a terrible flea infestation that left him very sick. we took him to the vet yesterday and were given some devastating news. not only have the fleas made him incredibly anemic to the point of having a red blood cell count of 9, but he has contracted FeLV, feline leukemia virus. due to the FeLV he’s having a hard time recovering his red blood cell count on his own and the vet has recommended he receive a blood transfusion. however, she told us that it would have to be done by an emergency vet and would cost at least $1000, and then everything else he needs to stay healthy on top of that. we’ve fallen on hard times recently like countless others, and can barely afford to pay rent let alone what equates to two weeks worth of work at my job.

if anyone would be interested, i’m designing, making and selling custom perfumes and colognes for very cheap. all you need to do is tell me what types of scents you like and i can create a one of a kind fragrance made just for you! if you receive the bottle and decide you like it i’ll be writing down the recipes so that they can be recreated. i can also create custom fragrance oils if you have a specific scent you’d like in your perfume!

currently they are being bottled in 3ml vials but if you’d like more i can absolutely accommodate.

my current prices are $5 + shipping for a 3ml bottle and $15 + shipping for a 10ml bottle.

y’know what. what scents do the ibvs boys wear.

RUBS HANDS TOGETHER

So when i originally picked out colognes for the ibvs boys, i just kind of went off whatever i knew at the time instead of actual fragrance profiles and categories, which led to them all only being somewhat well aligned and just. not well organized all in all, but the SECOND time i did it, i actually made a chart of the fragrance categories and sorted the ibvs boys by seasons (fragrances are seasonal for anyone who didnt know) so i could align the notes easier; so, in my opinion:

Isaac is an autumn and leans towards woody orientals and, to a lesser degree, floral oriental; Edward is a summer and leans towards aquatic and citrusy notes; Drew could be an autumn or a spring and leans towards woody and soft oriental notes; Nevin is an autumn or a winter and leans towards orientals and soft orientals, Chris is a spring or a winter and leans towards dry woods and aromatics (and probably gourmands tbh), and Barry is a spring who leans towards greens and citruses. good lord that was a lot but were not done yet because i have a few actual colognes picked out for some of them :)

Santal 33 for Isaac; simple and woody, a little spicy and a little floral; not super complex, but this fragrance is super iconic amongst fragrance lovers.

Black Phantom for Chris; I can't NOT give a gourmand cologne for Chris. That would be borderline criminal. The notes of alcohol and tobacco align quite nicely with his daddy issues if i do say so myself. (Also, Ky mentioned ages ago that Chris would be the coffee lover of the boys, and i just remembered that years later)

Kingdom of Dreams for Nevin; When i fucking tell you it took me 7 million years to find a good smoky cologne for Nevin. Jesus H Christ. Anyways. Warm, earthy, and smoky notes just give me an image of either a bonfire or a ritual in the deepest part of the woods gone horribly wrong. either way, it's fitting for him, and i love it.

Light Blue for Barry; One of. the hottest colognes I've ever had the pleasure of smelling. 100% a Hot Guy cologne, I, too, would trust my darkest secrets and personal information to a guy if he was wearing this. 10/10 I would wear it, but unfortunately, it's not a fragrance for me.

Acqua di Gio for Edward; A very, VERY popular cologne, truly iconic, he is the moment, i swear to god 90% of guys have owned this cologne at some point, but it is popular for a reason. I think it would he hilarious if Felix also wore this simply because it fits almost every category of guy.

and lastly, Dead Sexy for Drew; The fragrance notes on that image simply say "woody," so you would assume the vanilla and sweet notes would be dominant ones, but this 100% smells like moss on decaying trees in the most Drew way imaginable. I can not believe this wasn't tagged with aromatic because that is absolutely the best way to describe it. It smells like how the sun dries the moss on old trees after days of heavy rain, and it's one of my favorites.
