in honor of the nhl playoffs, i have decided to have a little playoffs of our own - pitting 64 players and other members of the wild organization against each other in a war to see who is truly the most beloved wild

Anaheim Ducks: Lukas Dostal is doing a damn good job tending that net. I'm super excited to see where he goes!

Arizona Coyotes: Of course, our pride king Travis Dermott!

Boston Bruins: Look. I said I was gonna not name the most known players. But you can't expect me not to name a goalie for the Bruins! Impossible! I'm gonna give the edge to Jeremy Swayman.

Buffalo Sabres: Probably Jeff Skinner, honestly. Most cursed man in hockey. Does that make me old?

Calgary Flames: I don't follow the Flames much but I do really like Cody Taylor.

Carolina Hurricanes: Pyotr Kochetkov is, in my opinion, the only Cane with rights.

Los Angeles Kings: Long Distance Girlfriend Kevin Fiala and his hysterical wife!

Minnesota Wild: Mats Zuccarello is very short. This is always fun. Especially because his stick is very long. Also fun.

Montreal Canadiens: Juraj Slafkovsky is not only worryingly homoerotic with every single Slav he meets, he is also trying valiantly to overcome the bust narrative, and he's silly and goofy! What more do you want?

Vegas Golden Knights: I simply believe that if one does not at least admire Jack Eichel for his dedication to being a bitch and ruining all the narratives, one does not exist to me.

Jack Zimmermann- in case you didn't know, the whole point of Mr. Jack Zimmermann is that he is a younger, slightly fucked up Sidney Crosby. They share some superstitions (5pm PB&J, anyone?) and they're both apparently adorable with kids. Therefore, there is only one person we can cast... one little problem though. doing the stats for this, i'm facing a pretty big dilemma for this bracket. while obviously i love engagement with these polls and want to abide by the results, the vote disparity for the fiala/zucker poll was so much bigger than every other poll in this bracket (188 votes vs the next-closest 78) that i'm worried the larger pens fanbase will just rig him to win the rest of his matchups (which, to be clear, i do not blame them for. we would do the same. also he potentially would have won that last poll anyways, just not by so wide a margin.)

Crusaders squad will play of the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific season without Taylor.

The Crusaders’ 2024 Super Rugby Pacific squad has been announced, however Codie Taylor, a dedicated hooker, will miss several of the team’s games. The 85-test All Black has chosen to spend the majority of the 2024 season off from competition, meaning they won’t be available when Super Rugby kicks off.

“He’s been away from home for an extended period of time recently, and the Crusaders fully respect and support him taking this time,” the team stated in a statement. “Codie is anticipated to be available for selection in the final few games of season ’24.” While there were several candidates to take Sam Whitelock’s place in the Crusaders’ second row, Zach Gallagher is the one who most excites fans.

A highly touted star of the future, Gallagher will be well-placed to take another step in 2024 – be it off the bench or in the run-on squad.
