in honor of day before poker face season finale i will share the image that haunts my friends' inboxes for the past month and a half

looking through your blog has convinced me to watch pokerface i want to know what’s up with Natasha lyonne and that cliff fellow are they killing each other are they fucking or both ✌️

LMAO so unfortunately no fucking just fighting BUUUT the subtext is there and I will die on that hill!!! there’s an entire scene where he gives her the gun he used to kill her best friend (he has ulterior motives so it’s not sentimental lol) and is basically offering it to her to use against him but the gun is a metaphor. for his dick. in my opinion!! but god it’s soooo good, even if it’s not canon it’s still so delicious 😘🤌

working on a few things since my poker face obsession has only grown (and working on some d20 neverafter stickers hopefully soon : D )

Poker Face - Charlie Cale/Cliff Legrand - Rated E

She’s so distracted by the smell of frying food wafting towards her in the air that she doesn’t realize till she’s halfway through the parking lot that there’s a black car that looks suspiciously like Cliff’s parked at the side. She stills, a shiver coming up her spine. Should she run for it? She doesn’t have a car till tomorrow. Can she hide out somewhere in town? With Aimee? Run for her life into the woods, live like a caveman, forage for berries?

But it’s too late. Cliff’s low voice comes from the left and she jerks over to see him leaning against the trellis by the restaurant, arms crossed. He had to know somehow she’d be coming here; he’s probably been following her. The thought should send ice water down her spine, but the reality is that she expected it, maybe even anticipated it.

“You hungry?” he inquires, somehow sounding mildly upset that he’s even saying it. It catches Charlie so off guard she just gapes at him like a fish for a second. He stands up straight, uncrossing his arms. “I said, you hungry?” he repeats, practically a growl.

I think one of my favorite things about the Poker Face season finale is realizing that Cliff calling Charlie a regular “Michael Westin” wasn’t just a kinda goofy shout-out, it was a nerd doing that thing where they drop a reference in conversation to see if the other person will get it, because you always want an opportunity to talk about your Favorite Thing.
