childe

would confess in such a way that you’re not sure if he’s joking or not

he talks straightforwardly enough (”hey, y/n, do you want to go out with me later?”), but his past history of unpredictability puts you on edge

he will try to prove his sincerity to you, answering honestly and transparently to any questions you ask

if you say yes, he’ll swear to you that he’ll be the partner you deserve, that he’ll do what he can to provide for you (financially from his rank has harbinger in the fatui) and make sure that you’re always safe

your wellbeing would be his top priority and whatever he can do that ensures it, he’ll make sure that you have absolute confidence in him

chongyun

poor boy would trip over his words. either that, or he just freezes up completely, blanking out in the moment

probably hides his face in the sleeves of his coat so you can’t see how flustered he is

will then work up the courage in a “just rip off the band aid” mentality, and runs through his words – “ilikeyoualotpleasegooutwithme” and immediately feels like screaming

takes him a while to calm down from his embarrassment, but is relieved that you don’t seem put-off by his behavior and took the time to listen to him

if you say yes, he’ll be the softest boyfriend you could ever ask for.

scaramouche

he actually wouldn’t confess or even ask you out, but instead demand your presence next to him constantly

would say something along the lines of “from now on, you’ll be by my side and heed my every word” and most likely get upset if you hesitate – he’s used to getting what he wants when he wants it, so uncertainty of any kind will irritate him

until you submit to him respond positively to his advances, he’ll continue to pester you

he won’t be a partner in the traditional sense; if he’s interested in you, it’s because of what you can provide for him, whether it be power or opportunistic situations

it’s best to be careful with him though, because once he’s set his sights on you, it’s near impossible to shake him off

xiao

nothing fancy, just your hands in his as he speaks.

“be with me,” he’ll say. despite not phrasing it as a question, he speaks softly enough so that you know he doesn’t intend to be pushy.

takes the situation very seriously and will give you the time you need to respond.

is internally pessimistic about what you might say: he’s been alone hundreds of years, and considering his past, he would understand if you wouldn’t want to be with him romantically.

if you agree, he’ll nod and squeeze your hand. he’s repressed his emotions for so long, so you’ll have to give him time to truly open up.

xingqiu

this boy has half the mind to serenade you on the spot, but he will ask you out as if he were talking to you normally.

“would you take me on a journey fit for a tale of generations to come?”

probably brings along a glaze lily, or any other flower that he knows you like for some flare.

smiling the entire time because he’s excited (and, needless to say, optimistic) about your response.

very open about his affection, and will hug you on the spot if you say yes, immediately arranging a lunch/dinner date to celebrate the occasion.

zhongli

“there’s this restaurant that i believe you’d like. if you have the time, i’d like to take you there.”

although he means for his words to come out romantically, it just sounds like he’s asking you out to a friendly dinner – just because it’s, well, zhongli of all people. he’s always had his head in business and economics, and has never been one to dabble in sentimentality.

will eventually clarify once you’re at the restaurant, finding difficulty over the exact words to say (is the geo archon actually stuttering?), but will mention how he enjoys your company and wants to be with you more “intimately” (read: “as your boyfriend”. we’re not talking about someone who’s up to date on modern connotations, after all).

will hold your hand across the table for the rest of the dinner if you say yes.

Can I request for Childe who's s/o was affiliated with a dangerous group in the past, an hc about Childe's reaction when he finds out :3 I came across an hc b4 saying Childe couldn't be with his s/o cause of his affiliations so I wanted to see smth diff! as an obsessive warrior himself, childe’s attuned himself to recognizing strength in others, whether it be mental or physical

even if you might not show it initially, he’ll be able to tell through your swift reflexes and logical, sometimes cynical wit that you’ve seen a few things you definitely haven’t told him about

he might pry once or twice, saying things like “ah, why so tense?” when you jump at the slightest sound of footsteps, or when he sees your eyes dart from one side of the room to the other, as if you’re expecting something.

he keeps his inquiries a bit vague since he doesn’t want to invade on a past that you’d rather keep private, but in the mean time he’ll have his suspicions.

if the two of you have a dialogue over it, whenever you choose to open up or believe it’s a relevant topic to discuss, he’ll listen intently and give you the time you need to speak.

out of respect, childe tries not to be too expressive when you go over the details, although he might excessively blink now that you’re giving him a narrative he’s only speculated about.

hearing your past from your own mouth is different from theorizing about it. now, he’s justified in being concerned for you, although was already aware that you were capable in defending yourself (physically and emotionally). call it a boyfriend’s concern, always wanting the best for you.

depending on how you treat your past, he might even ask to spar with you.

if you two do tangle with each other, he makes sure not to let the adrenaline rush get the best of him and always watches your face to see if you’re in too much pain, and will always check up on you afterwards with a few pats on the head and a kiss to your cheek.

ultimately, very attuned to your personality and mannerisms. could piece together your past, but would nonetheless be grateful to hear you open up to him. new sparring buddy!! and feeling closer to you.

orz usually mhy gives out free primos each new patch! and assuming new chara banners are out every three weeks (like in 1.1, 1.2) then you should have 3 weeks to save up from the start of venti’s banner until childe’s releases again! sending good vibes and my rng luck for you to get water boy.

I saw some people answer for the college thing already so feel free to ignore, but for the most part, your grades do matter when it comes to the last year of senior year only for certain universities that outwardly state that you can only have a certain amount of C's. For example, I believe the University of Californias (ie. UCLA, UCI) explicitly state that in their admissions and it may go along the same for other schools as well. Just be sure to check to make sure!

yeah! uci is actually one of the schools im applying ;; did check their website, and they just said not to fail and if you do, then report the grade asap ㅠㅠ thank you though sobs . . . we’ll see :’))

very late to the party but i actually work in college admissions right now for a public university. keep in mind private universities may be different, but public schools tend to only rescind for major behavioral issues or significant drops in GPA. if your gpa DOES drop significantly and they look at rescinding, you may be able to do a semester or two at a 2-year/state/community college to bump your GPA and “prove” you can handle college level work before transferring. (which is cheaper anyway! i did my first two years and then transferred and spent way less on tuition because i was loan-dependent.)

thank you for sharing your experience and insight! ah ,,, orz college stressful . . . i’ve applied to public colleges for the most part and decisions are being posted sometime in march! so fingers crossed ㅠㅠ
