The compilation was produced in 1981 by Al Aprile and released by Materiali Sonori. Story time! It was about 3am in Chicago when I finally finished my shift. I exited the cold diner, a grease stained apron clinging to my body, and walked to my car wondering what food I could afford to eat tonight. The twenty dollars in my wallet that screamed to be used on the water bill began to appear more and more as food money as I took exhausted steps into the damp parking lot. Not to mention the sickeningly sweet aroma of breakfast food that had permeated my cloths left just enough flavor in the air to make my stomach hate me. I let out a deep Sigh and reached into the front pocket of my apron. The soft clinking of what could only be described as a sorry excuse for a tip gave little relief to the now growing pain in my stomach, which was audibly arguing against the tiny amount of change begging it to be worth more than a cup of instant raman. I pulled out the collection of assorted coins and crumpled dollars and counted out what to my delight was actually two dollars and seventy five cents. My stomach gave up its arguing nature and quieted itself, as I began to think of the nearest open place with a dollar menu climbing into the cab of my car. I set off into the night towards the city. The night life of drunken stumblers and sirens seemed to couple with the loudly blaring early nineties grunge through my car speakers. Billboards and buildings brought a scenic if not familiar drive downtown towards my tiny studio apartment. I decided to stop by a gas station and grab a cheep instant diner at the demanding demeanor of my insides. “What a good night.” I thought to myself, feeling slightly depressed at my own interpretation of what good was at this point in my life.  As I pulled into a small gas station I wondered to myself “I am a 23 year old girl, stuck in the city of wind, waiting for life to start. Is there anything exciting going on tonight? Anywhere in the world that I am unknowingly apart of?” I pondered this for a while then decided. “Nah... I am going to get food now.” I let myself live in this happy moment as I entered the building. The smell of hot dogs and the soft hum of the soda machine only enticed me more as the door slowly clicked behind me. My stomach gave a strange feeling against my skin, almost sinking as the door shut, but I smiled and laughed. “Okay we get it, only a little more time till its food time.”    I probably seemed insane to the man behind the counter by talking to myself but my attention was drawn straight to the back wall to the sign that read dairy/food. I walked to the big freezer and began to look over my options through the condensation resting on the glass doors. As my eyes grazed over all the gross yet edible options my attention was drawn to my reflection. I starred at myself and sighed, my bright red hair was pulling out of a pony tail and falling in random streaks against my shoulders, and my shirt was starting to look just as stained at my apron. It was laundry time again; a thing I wish I wasn’t having to do as often, but since I currently only own six shirts and four pairs of pants it had become a weekly affair.  As I starred disgusted by own appearance I saw someone else standing behind me in the reflection. I assumed he also wanted something in the frozen dinner section so I turned to face him. Standing almost uncomfortably close behind me was a tall lurking man with a long scruffy beard and bright red turtle neck sweater. His veins on his neck poked out enough to be seen through the soft fabric, and his eyes were either really bloodshot or his shirt was giving the illusion of it. I quickly backed myself up against the cool glass door behind me and stuttered to speak. “Oh um, hi there... Sorry for taking so long I am just looking over the choices. Ill be quick.” I turned my back to the man and tried to open the door to grab whatever was closest to me. I figured if I just hurried up I could avoid another uncomfortable encounter with him. But as I reached for the handle I felt my whole body be pressed up against the glass, as my right arm was pulled painfully behind my back. I screamed in pain and fear as I heard a deep acented voice say “Shut up.” before throwing me down the isle of corn chips and cheep candy.  My mind raced with thoughts, none of them making any sense. Like really who could be this mad about having to wait a few extra minuets for a microwave chicken parmesan?  The man walked towards me and grabbed me by my hair, dragging me farther up the isle. My hands shot to my head and pulled at his arm, trying to get him to release me. What the hell was going on?! All I wanted was a cheep meal to take home and enjoy whilst watching netflix on my neighbors wifi, and now I was involved in god knows what. As I looked over towards the counter to scream for help my heart shrank. I saw a man laying his head, or at least what was left of his head, on the counter all around him a fine mist of red was spread. My thoughts came together into one collective plea. “Please... No... PLEASE?!”
