Just wanted to say, I absolutely adored the podcast and am currently on my first relisten of it now that it's all complete! <3 Loved the music, the characters, the voice acting; everything was fantastic from start to finish!!
I have to ask.. any recommendations for books inspired by Welsh mythology? Alternatively, are there any books you might recommend that would fill the Camlann-sized hole in my heart? 👀

Specifically books inspired by, rather than books that are - so I'm going to recommend you some fiction:
Spear by Nicola Griffiths, which specifically explores queer themes in urban fantasy Arthuriana, and uses a lot of Welsh inspiration
Mary Stewart's Merlin Trilogy (it's great and iconic, though mostly uses Norman sources)
The Pendragon Cycle by Stephen R Lawhead, which is a great classic high fantasy series, though has a slightly abrupt ending due to publishing drama.
The Owl Service by Alan Garner - this is a YA novel but does use the Mabinogi as a direct source!
Here Lies Arthur by Philip Reeve. It's a YA novel but one of my absolute favourites, and very much displays Arthur as deeply flawed, as well as including some subtle queer themes.
The Magician Trilogy by Jenny Nimmo, these are childrens books but also the most heavily inspired by Welsh mythology I know.

Just wanted to let you know that all your arcane posting has made ME start it. I have never heard of it until now. I'm on ep 6 now. I am in. So much pain.
Oh man, I wish I could say that it gets less painful, but alas . . . alas. But I CAN say that it will continue to be top-tier excellence up until its last second, that you will likely be left breathless from how excellent it is, that it is worth many rewatches and that the fact that season 2 has already been confirmed is good news for all of us. You're going to suffer, but it's good suffering. It's worthwhile suffering. And I regret nothing about pulling you along for the ride. :D

Pit just saying but those insults thrown at todoroki in the last chapter made ME want to somehow go inside your fic and punch him in the face (I'm really worried though midoriya was so out of it he wasn't able to give todoroki the support he needed ; ;) also does this mean toga got todoroki's blood????

LOL the very first scene i put down was ‘shouto *printing to midoriya’s printer* : dinner?’
jk it was not. i outlined a lot of things, all the way to the Major Villain confrontation but the first scene i officially penned was this!
“That was strong,” Dabi says under his breath.
Shōto doesn’t catch it. “What?”
He glances up, lips curling up in contempt. “I said your flame control fucking sucks.”

recently i quite liked the scene in ch4! where tododeku stand between the couch and coffee table and shouto realizes he wants to know more about midoriya~ purple prose at its finest lmao
actually i also quite liked “answering uppercut from bakugou…probably could’ve killed him” LMAO

lmao i remember you liked “this is intimate/that was the needle”, a cheeky izuku is cute to me
truthfully, the one i liked most is tokoyami’s line from ch2! “I think it’s worth earning a person’s trust. And it’s worth having friends who worked hard to be with you.” ahh tokoyami 少年!
eternal winter -1: What inspired you to write the fic this way?
this fic probably looks like it was penned in 10 minutes. frankly speaking, it was lmao. i was feeling very uninspired even though i said i’d write tddkweek fic so i took a scene from a very dusty WIP and then i typed ‘1. he was born’ and it just went from there!! my flimsy countermeasure to writer’s block! i thought the bulleted list could convey something, so i wanted to publish it even though it looks like how it does haha

indeed, the first paragraph was from my very first bnha au. an alternating pov, and another mysterious midoriya. technically this fic can still be in that universe since that au’s shouto isn’t much different from canon shouto! the title is repeat after me (i reach for you in every world), and midoriya is a very, very disillusioned boy who actually does have a latent quirk that he couldn’t have realized within one lifetime. if you’ve seen re:zero, it’s loosely based but his save point is always, always post-kamino in an au twist where all for one escapes a revealed small might, and iida and izuku get injured. izuku is a very cool cucumber in this one!! lmao it borders on psychological trauma + horror in a way that’s like “rip he has to keep going like this?” lol since handprint is still going on i imagine i can’t work on it until i get to a finishing point for ylahomh
13: What music did you listen to, if any, to get in the mood for writing this story? Or if you didn’t listen to anything, what do you think readers should listen to to accompany us while reading?lol the hilarious thing is that i wrote 4 fics to a single song on repeat. in fact that song was whisper by vixx lr LMAO. i don’t know what i look like revealing this tbh and i don’t know what to say about the song itself bc honestly the lyrics are ??? but i really like the part around 2:55!! the beat is a very insistent carry, so my mind hitchhiked on the sound waves!
rather than listen to whisper, i think end of an eternal winter could probably work well with olafur arnalds’ 'tomorrow’s song’, 'poland’, or verses from the chopin project! but verses doesn’t finish with a very upbeat tone so if you think they drowned it could work ;) otherwise tomorrow’s song it is! (lmao im pretty bad with identifying moods so it might clash)

PIT YOU ABSOLUTE GENIUS I DIDN’T EXPECT TODOROKI HINO BUT I’M SO GLAD IT’S A THING (I didn’t expect you to do the dabi is a todoroki thing THIS CHAPTER WAS SO GOOD) Also, I was backtracking in earlier chapters and during the camp, I noticed that Hino called Todoroki “Shouto” at one point while also calling bakugou by his last name...was that...was that an intentional hint.. I mean, granted there’s not many instances where hino refers to anyone by name but dang now I’m super curious about him
Yeah! With Hino’s more recent appearances I wanted to show him softening up a bit and showing a little more interest in--as we now know--his sister’s son.
