I think it’s very likely that the drama will end with him passing the throne over to his nephew or prince bogeom and then going off to live by the seaside or whatever (I also think this is even more likely if cheongha dies or gets deposed due to her health issues)

personally, I really don’t want this to happen because it would be so cliched and honestly feel super unsatisfying

the way I see it, nobody is more worthy of the throne than kang and I want to see him and the queen fight to protect their positions

the absolute cutest part for me was in the original past, Yichan chased after Sekyung, got rejected, lost his hearing, and THEN dated Cheongah. i was really worried about the butterfly affect (or, in Eungyeol and Eunyoo's case, the bull in a china shop affect) making it so if those things didn't happen, he wouldn't have ended up with Cheongah, but here he goes still choosing her 🥺 here he goes punching abelists for her 🥺 here he goes learning sign language and teaching his friends to greet her 🥺🥺🥺 here is Yichan, who fell in love with Cheongah dispite them being in "diffrent worlds", and immediately showed her off. AND THEY DID ALL OF IT basically by themselves 😭💔💔

+ 5 bonus points for Eunyoo getting happy when Eungyeol told her he started liking "Sekyung" after she came back from the US, so he truly only fell for Eunyoo and not her mom

1. Descendants of The Sun

But what enhances the beauty of the drama and makes it eye-pleasing to us fans, is the scenic beauty of the filming locations. According to the media outlets the romantic kdrama was mostly shot in Zakynthos, Arachova, Lemnos, and Navagio. 

The first parts of the drama were certainly shot in seoul. But as the story progresses captain Yoo Si Jin, played by Song Joon Ki, finds himself being posted in Iraq.

The location was decided to be at the margin of Balkan Peninsula, so that there is no diplomatic conflict with the iraqis. 

The beauty of the filming locations catch the eyes of the viewers again and again. Be it the deserted hills or that mesmerizing beach with a wrecked ship resting lazily at the beach, you are bound to love it all. The filming location also plays a huge role in the story development, which is one of the features about this romantic kdrama I personally liked a lot.

2. Hometown Cha Cha Cha

Just as the title of the romantic kdrama suggests, the main plot of this drama revolves around the hometown of the main male lead Chief Hong, played by Kim Seon Ho. The drama was filmed in Cheongha-myeon and Guryongpo of Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do. 

Shin Min Ah plays the role of Yoon Hye Jin, a dentist, who relocates to Gongjin upon leaving her job in Seoul. Initially she finds it hard to adjust with the place and the people but as the story progresses, she falls in love with Gongjin and Chief Hong.

I don't think the woman teaching CheongHa sign language was her mom. I think she was a teacher, but got too close emotionally and started acting as her mother, which her father did not agree with, so he fired her, and hired the monster, who, because she had children, would not try to replace Cheongha's mom (maybe she died?).

one gripe i had abt twinkling watermelon is that i feel like they got too caught up in eungyeol not saving yichan that they kinda forgot sometimes that he was saving and DID save cheongha........

I think that we’re going to get a team-up of the Queen and the Queen Dowager before the show ends.

For all she did to get her son on the throne, the Queen Dowager’s intense hatred of the Queen and her children could ultimately lead to her son’s downfall.  I think we’re getting to the point where the Queen Dowager will realize that the only way for her son’s legacy to survive is if the Queen continues to be the Queen and Seongnam remains the Crown Prince. It may be why we see the Queen Dowager talking to Cheong-ha about the rumor that Seongnam is infertile, but it may be because the Queen Dowager still hates Seongnam and wants to bring him down as the Crown Prince. However, I do think there will be a team-up at some point.

Other predictions of mine are that the deposed Queen Yoon’s request for the Queen will be to kill the Queen Dowager to avenge her family. I also think that the King will abdicate his throne, Seongnam will become the King, and the Grand Heir and his mother will come back to the palace. I do think that Cheongha also will become pregnant, so it’ll be interesting to see who actually will be the Grand Heir in the end.

I really hope the queen explains to kang that cheongha is on his side asap : (
