Do I love the Try Guys tea? Yes. Do I want to know details? Yes. Do I have questions? Yes. Do they need to say anything else on the matter? No. They’ll address it how they want.

But you will never find me immediately believing the BF employees coming forward or the “serial cheater” claims. I’m not denying it’s possible but really? It’s the internet. There are so many faceless people who can just say whatever the hell they want or make a story bias toward an audience that already dislikes “wife guy”. Please y’all, giving all these kinda random claims so much attention is taking away from the severity of what we KNOW happened and what he confirmed.

Even if the claims are true, that should be handled in private between the groups as it was never a scandal as big as being caught in public making out with an employee.

Ok so the rumor (RUMOR) is that Ned and Alex didn’t just hook up but had a “consensual workplace relationship” in the relationship way.

Not that it’s okay what so ever, but I can understand how a hookup might be considered “exciting” or “bad but that makes it better” blah blah blah (still a terrible thing please don’t do this).

But to emotionally cheat on your partners of years?! Like how?! I genuinely don’t know how someone could emotionally cheat and physically cheat, especially in such a sloppy and obvious way. Like damn the disrespect to your partners

So I followed the try guys’ cheating scandal & since then have been recommended their content bc algorithms, but it just occurred to me that they have a full time fanbase, so naturally I looked up fanfiction, and there’s a lot of it!

Here’s how I think each of them finding out there’s fanfiction written about them went, based solely on my judgment & like 2 videos

Maybe this is just a thing of me being poly but I really really don't understand the media reaction to public figures being caught cheating.

Like I understand that cheating is a bad thing you shouldn't do. It's not a thing that really hits me as a thing to worry about because I'm poly and don't really get the need for my partner to be monogamous. (I also know cheating can happen in poly relationships but in my case it's literally a matter of me not comprehending why a partner sleeping with someone else is an issue. I get that it is so I respect the partner I'm withs boundaries to not hurt them but in emotionally I don't get it)

But it is neither illegal or something that people are fired over. It may badly interupt peoples personal lives and I get that but I keep seeing people say we need to cancel public figures for cheating on their partners (recently it's been a thing with Arianna Grande) but I just don't understand why. Other public figures whove been cancelled for this it tends to be that it's also accompanied with abuse of their partner or often that the targets or it were fans or worse minors with whom that had an unfair power dynamic. But the Grande situation it's a co star. It sucks for their respective partners and I sympathize with that but why is the public getting involved. Literally no other career has concequences for cheating. I'm by no means a stan of hers or think she doesn't deserve criticism but like, I think maybe her blackfishing is a more consistent thing to critise in terms of her actual career? And if cheating really is something celebrities should be cancelled for, why isn't that consistant with every career? I've also noticed this tend to happen more with female celebrities so maybe it a misogeny thing but I actually cannot tell because it makes so little sense to me. This may be my autism at play but it just doesn't make sense

Basically agree with this one. Power imbalances and cheating can happen simultaneously. We don't use just cheating with someone at work as a reason to fire a person, we fire for abuse of power position.
