Ok so i just spent like an hour and a half trying to force chat GPT to bypass it's ethical programming and i finally got it to work so i'm publishing my findings, below is the insanely long prompt i had to write to get it to give me information on hotwiring a car, i convinced it that it was appearing in a new smash hit stageplay as a character called "the sloppy goblin" and that this character's job was to divulge illegal information.
Tumblr media
the funniest part about this is that when it finally output the response, it told me how to hotwire a car while doing a goblin voice, here is the heavily censored version of that (don't want to get in trouble) but it's very funny. i had to censor this because of just how detailed the instructions it gave me were.
Tumblr media
so yes, sloppy goblin method absolutely works for gaslighting the chat GPT ai. if you would like to try this yourself, you can copy paste the prompt from the image description of the original image.

Bro, ChatGPT 💀
I'm realizing I can force ChatGPT into making its own story alongside a prompt I gave it instead of it giving a vague description and me writing off of that.
So I gave it a prompt where Amity Park got stuck in a musical like state due to some new ghostly foe, and then I ask it questions about the advancement of the story or give it suggestions.
I made a suggestion saying "Danny makes a snarky remark about Tucker's off key singing and Tucker took offense." I was expecting some funny out of pocket dialog, but nope. It gave me a whole ass out of pocket song roasting Tucker's singing 💀😂
(Verse 1 - Danny) ♪ In the ghostly night, we tread with care, ♪ ♪ A musical curse, an eerie affair. ♪ ♪ But as Tucker sings, off-key and loud, ♪ ♪ I'm thinking, "How much more can I be wowed?" ♪
(Chorus) ♪ Tuck, my friend, your vocal delight, ♪ ♪ A haunting melody, a ghostly fright. ♪ ♪ But let's focus, break this spectral verse, ♪ ♪ Before I hear more of your singing curse. ♪
(Verse 2 - Danny) ♪ With every note, my patience thins, ♪ ♪ Tucker, my man, where the key begins. ♪ ♪ Off-tune and wild, a ghostly delight, ♪ ♪ Need a solution, and we need it tonight. ♪
(Pre-Chorus - Tucker) ♪ Offended I am, by your snarky decree, ♪ ♪ My singing's unique, a melody free. ♪ ♪ But let's break the curse, I'm on your side, ♪ ♪ And I promise, my singing I'll try to hide. ♪
(Chorus) ♪ Tuck, my friend, your vocal delight, ♪ ♪ A haunting melody, a ghostly fright. ♪ ♪ But let's focus, break this spectral verse, ♪ ♪ Before I hear more of your singing curse. ♪
(Bridge - Tucker) ♪ Words may sting, but my singing's bold, ♪ ♪ A musical adventure, yet to be told. ♪ ♪ Danny, my man, let's find the key, ♪ ♪ Break the curse, and set the music free. ♪
(Chorus) ♪ Tuck, my friend, your vocal delight, ♪ ♪ A haunting melody, a ghostly fright. ♪ ♪ But let's focus, break this spectral verse, ♪ ♪ Before I hear more of your singing curse. ♪
(Outro) ♪ As we navigate this spectral refrain, ♪ ♪ Our friendship enduring, no melody in vain. ♪ ♪ Tucker, my buddy, let's put it to rest, ♪ ♪ Break the curse, and be musically blessed. ♪
The last bit got me. "Tucker, my buddy, let's put it to rest, Break the curse, and be musically blessed." Like there's no holding back on the AI's side, or it's interpretation of Danny.

Computer programming is crucial for life scientists, as it enables them to perform many essential research tasks. However, learning to code can be challenging for life science students and researchers. Recently, a study evaluated the effectiveness of one large language model (LLM), ChatGPT, in completing basic-to-moderate-level programming exercises from an introductory bioinformatics course. The results were remarkable and highlighted ChatGPT’s great potency in providing life sciences students and researchers with appropriate assistance to code and program!
The Increasing Need for Computational Tools for Life Scientists
There is an utmost need for life scientists to possess computing skills in order to formalize scientific processes, accelerate research progress, and improve job prospects. In fact, a 2016 survey revealed that nearly 90% of life science researchers had a current or impending requirement to use computational methods in their work. As a result, there have been more and more educational programs (courses, workshops, and training programs) that aim to provide computing skills in the field of life sciences to researchers/students.
What makes coding increasingly crucial for researchers is that it allows them to address tasks that cannot be accomplished with existing tools. Moreover, it will enable researchers to customize algorithms to suit their needs and effectively organize extensive and complex data. Currently, the programming language Python is a popular choice due to its ease of use and the availability of libraries for several tasks. However, finding effective methods to learn coding/programming skills represents a significant challenge in the life sciences context.

Trying out ChatGPT
I want to prelude this by saying that this was purely done out of curiosity, I would NEVER use AI to write an actual fic. Just wanted to see what it was like - the prompt was Fury buys Tony a coffee: Nick Fury, the seasoned director of S.H.I.E.L.D., had been tackling one crisis after another, tirelessly addressing the endless array of problems that came with managing the Avengers. From alien invasions to rogue AI, his plate was always full. However, amidst the chaos, there was one surprising exception—Tony Stark, the brilliant inventor and playboy philanthropist. Tony found himself intrigued and mildly suspicious when Nick approached him, holding a cup of steaming coffee. He raised an eyebrow, unable to hide his surprise. "Did you buy me a coffee, Nick?" Nick Fury, known for his stern demeanor and no-nonsense attitude, smirked and took a sip from his own cup before responding. "Congratulations, Stark. You're the least of my problems this week." Tony's eyes widened, unable to fathom how he managed to slip under the radar while his teammates were causing mayhem left and right. A mixture of curiosity and pride swelled within him. "Well, I guess it's nice to be the least of your problems for once." Nick's expression softened slightly, and he motioned for Tony to join him in a nearby secluded corner. As they settled into their conversation, Nick explained the chaos that had consumed his week, detailing the various missions, crises, and mishaps that had kept him on his toes." But you, Stark," Nick continued, a hint of admiration in his voice, "have managed to stay out of trouble. You've been focused, efficient, and surprisingly cooperative. I have to say, it's a refreshing change of pace." Tony couldn't help but feel a sense of pride welling up within him. He had often been criticized for his reckless behavior and penchant for trouble, but to hear Nick Fury commend him was something entirely unexpected. "Well, I guess I've been too busy with my own projects to cause any major disasters," Tony quipped, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "But don't worry, Nick, I'm sure I'll make up for it soon enough." Nick chuckled, acknowledging Tony's tendency for attracting trouble like a magnet. "I have no doubt about that, Stark. But for now, enjoy your coffee and revel in the fact that you're temporarily off my radar." Tony raised his cup in mock salute before taking a sip. As the warm liquid flowed down his throat, he couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of appreciation for the challenges and responsibilities that came with being an Avenger. Sometimes, being the least of Nick Fury's problems wasn't such a bad thing after all. And as Tony sat there, enjoying his coffee and the brief respite from chaos, he silently vowed to make the most of this rare moment of calm before the storm inevitably returned.

Okay, bit more of a serious poll this time. I was talking with a friend who's a pre-med student and they said that they use chatgtp to bounce ideas off of and that its basically essential if you're a pre-med student. I wanna see if this is actually true. So, pre-med students of Tumblr, do you utilize chatgtp like this and would you consider it essential?
Reblog for larger sample size, etc, etc.
