"The world is a game board 🎲, life hands out the cards ♥️ of the game, and it depends on us to play with our best strategy 🃏💡 to win the it. 🥇" JA The Château Vaux-le-Vicomte was built by Nicolas Fouquet, Marquis de Belle Île, Viscount of Melun and Vaux and Superintendent of Finance of the King Luis XIV, during the years 1658 -1661. ⚡️ The architecture used for the construction took the name of "Luis XIV Style", combining architecture, interior design and landscape design. 🏰 The story behind this Château has became one of the best examples of fight for power and prestige. After the Castle was finished by Nicolas, as Superintendent of Finance of France, he decided to organize a party to flatter the King.🥂🍾 The party was seen for the eyes of the King as too impressive and the home of the functionary as too luxurious. The King, convinced by Jean-Baptiste Colbert that this has been a demonstration of power and a possible treat to the Kings' status, declare that the Minister's magnificence was founded by the misappropriation of public founds. 💶 Few weeks after, Nicolas was arrested and sentenced to death. Voltaire described this event as: "On 17 August, at six in the evening Fourquet was the King of France🌞, at 2 in the morning he was nobody." 🌑 🤴🏻Luis XIV sent his bests architects and designers to evaluate the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte with the objective to used all the elements for a mayor project, the Château and Jardines de Versalles. This mayor project has became one of the most iconic architectural pieces of France, however it is important to remember its real origin.
