Had a elderly gentleman call me today he was yet another #victim of an online #scam he told me that they said his computer had a virus and he let the scammer on his computer remotely and did all types of malicious actions. Including getting access to his bank account. He was homebound so he wasn't able to come to me to get his computer cleaned up and secured so I told him I'd come to him which is why I'm in #Savoy this evening. Orange, a color typically worn by hunters, is the color that Hadiya Pendleton’s friends wore in her honor after she was shot and killed in Chicago at the age of 15 — just one week after performing at President Obama’s 2nd inaugural parade in 2013. Orange honors the 96 lives cut short and the hundreds more wounded by gun violence everyday. Since the first National Gun Violence Awareness Day in 2015, hundreds of communities and organizations continue to commemorate that event by wearing orange, holding community events, lighting skylines orange, and issuing city and state proclamations.
