I like to think that c!eret before dsmp was a traveler.

They had their own ship and very often sang sea shanties, that's how they met foolish! While looking for the ocean monument, they met the half shark who saved them from drowning.

They carried a journal and a self-made bag

I missed Eryn’s birthday and I missed Eret’s 2 year DSMP anniversary, BUT it’s the 2 year anniversary since the betrayal, so I can at least pretend like I’m being timely :’D

Eryn and Eret’s interactions were so funny. Their characters and their personalities bounce off each other so well, and from a lore perspective, it’s really fun to see the “lonely king” who’s worked so hard to promote peace since the betrayal being followed around by a chaotic force of nature like Eryn.

Not sure what the upcoming plans for the DSMP are, but I’d love to see them interact more! In the meantime, I’ll keep theorizing ways we can get more info about them and c!Eret’s past.

Eret week day 1: Origin

So we don’t know much of C!Eret’s past apart from his connections to Herobrine and his friendship with both Foolsih and Puffy. I wanted to draw his connections with Herobrine with glowing eyes and glitches but hopefully this isn’t too much of a divergence lol.

Seeing as how im a part of the staff I had to do this! /j I was really excited when I saw this prompt though!! I haven't coloured it because colouring this many people is hard lol. The people here from left to right are;

Here are your prompts, folks! The dates for each prompt and more explanations are under the cut if you have questions about interpretations; but in short, every interpretation of any prompt is valid and welcome! Additionally, the last day is free theme day hence why our prompt is just "Eret".

1. The Beginning (July 13th)

This is a day when the event starts so naturally, we suggest you to think about the origins of c!Eret – in every possible way. You could think about their connection to Herobrine and how they came to exist, or their first days on Dream SMP, or, perhaps, the betrayal and them becoming the king – that is also a beginning in some way! You can also bring your own experience into it and make your work about the moment you have discovered c!Eret or became invested in their story.

2. King's Duties (July 14th)

Again, anything you can think of when hearing these words in regards to c!Eret counts. Settling conflicts, establishing treaties, anything to do with diplomacy – or building their fortress, working in the museum, generally making the server a better place. That's what kingship is about, right?

3. Double Trouble (July 15th)

Duo day! Pick any Dream SMP character who you think has an interesting relationship with c!Eret and create something about that relationship.

4. Castle Staff (July 16th)

This is a day for your Dream SMP OCs! The ones working in the castle, as the name suggests, but also those who in general are living under c!Eret's rule. What do they think about their monarch? Tell us all about them! Or, alternatively, if you don't have an OC, you can think about the people working in c!Eret's castle in general. What is their role? Do they have a uniform and how does it look? Anything else that you think would be of note? The possibilities are endless.

5. Pranks & Laughs (July 17th)

The day for lighthearted content! You can think about pranks done by c!Eret or the pranks done to c!Eret and everyone's reaction to either. Or your work might be about just a generally fun situation on the server involving c!Eret; a funny quote or a blooper perhaps? What matters at the end of the day is that everyone is in a good mood.

6. Unwind (July 18th)

Let's talk about c!Eret's free time. What hobbies do you think they have? How do they rest after their duties? Is there anyone in particular they like hanging out with during their downtime? This is a day to calm down and relax.

7. Eret (July 19th)

This is the day c!Eret came to existence – and for our event this is a free theme day. Any ideas that didn't quite fit into other prompts? A Happy Birthday card for c!Eret? Your general thoughts on them? You can share it all with us; there's no limit beside our general rules for this day.

The event operates on GMT time so all the days are counted from 00:00 to 23:59 GMT. Also just to remind you, late submissions are absolutely acceptable and we'll reblog them for a whole week after the end of the event! Don't stress it if you can't finish your work on time. Any participation in the event is welcome and appreciated!

So I have decided to use a prompt in the @ceretweek2022 art thingy-! I have written one for “the beginning” prompt!! Here it is!

Headcanon: c!eEet baked bread for the people of l’manberg (and niki + jack) when supply was low, was it very good bread? That depended on who you asked (huge thanks to @toxicats for inspiration for some of this fic! Please check them out if you can!! And thank you to @caramel-apple-pancakes for editing!! Okay! Here is the actual fic! (Will post on ao3 soon)

Eret was never really a baker, or at least never a good baker. They liked trying to bake stuff, Like loaves of bread and muffins; however, they weren't sure how good (or sometimes edible) said baked goods were

However, L'manberg wasn't getting any new food anytime soon, and they had all the things he would need to make simple bread, so Eret decided to make e bread they always made

And that's what they were doing right now, making enough bread to feed the seven people that lived in the small country, and then some more just to freeze so that they could have food for at least a few weeks.

The baking had been completed in around two hours; they left it on the counter if someone wanted some. Freezing the rest just in case was a little precaution Eret took to make sure they had at least some nutrients if Dream decided to take stronger measures.

Just as Eret was finishing cleaning the things they used to make the bread, Wilbur walked in.

"Hey, Eret~ what're you making?" He asked

They put stuff in cabinets above the counters, flour streaked in her hair and coated their clothes "some bread that I figured we may need if push comes to shove."

"May I have some?" Wilbur asked, already cutting a decent slice for himself.

Eret nodded, putting the last loaf in the oven "yeah, go ahead, you can take that one and ration it with the rest of them if you want."

Wilbur took a bite, nodding "will do then; this is good, by the way." He stated a bit as an afterthought before leaving the kitchen.

Eret smiled a little to themselves, turning away from Wilbur and thanking him; Wilbur took the bread loaf outside; they finished the rest of it before following him

"Hey Tommy, try this", Wilbur said, shoving a slice of the fresh loaf Eret made into Tommy's hands

Tommy raised an eyebrow but took a hesitant bite. "Wilbur, did you make this? Cause it tastes like sand." He said, not precisely mad, face scrunched at the supposedly sandy bread taste.

Wilbur cocked his head to the side "does it? I thought it was good, and no Eret made it."

"Lemme try," Tubbo bounced up, taking a piece from the end of the loaf and taking a hesitant bite "it's- not awful?" His expression shifted as he tasted it to something indescribable.

Niki confidently took a slice out of Wilbur's hand; "it tasted a lot like how they used to make bread! In the 1800s." She said excitedly, eyes lit up but frowning at the toughness of the bread, "though it could use more water."

Jack coughed obnoxiously from behind Tommy "ah hey, Eret! We were just trying the bread you made. It's pretty good if I do say so myself!" He took a piece of said bread, trying it for the first time; you wouldn't be able to tell from his expression alone, but the bread was not his favourite thing to eat; only Tommy could see the falter in the happy face.

Eret had walked outside to join them "oh, thanks! I'm glad it's good; I never actually got to try it before Wilbur took it." They chuckled, coming to grab a slice.

Wilbur walked forward to hand Eret the baked 'good' then, definitely not on purpose, stumbled and dropped the loaf.

"Whoops-!!" Wilbur exclaimed, "sorry about that, just clumsy, I suppose."

Eret raised a confused eyebrow "that's alright? Either way, I made a bunch. I'll just have one of those"

"Mind if I come with? I'd love to see the recipe you used." Niki queried, already standing up and fixing the creases in her uniform.

Eret accepted, and the two of them went back into the kitchen, the wind carrying their warm conversation as birds sang their cheerful song.

"Wilbur!" Jack exclaimed, gritting his teeth, "it is not nearly that bad."

"Uh, yeah, it is jack." Tommy rolled his eyes "it's like eating sand. No wonder Will likes it." He smirked, flicking Wilbur on the arm.

"It's that-is not-" Jack huffed, trying to find the right words "it's just simple! It's not like Niki's sure, but it doesn't have all that extra stuff!"

"What like salt and any form of moisture?" Tommy countered

"Maybe Niki's sweets are just too good," Tubbo shrugged, considering whether to take another bite "we're a-custom to hers, so maybe Erets isn't bad. It's just ya know- different?"

"Whatever you wanna tell yourself, Tubs." Tommy shook his head, kicking his feet back on the table.

Niki pulled a chair out, taking the recipe book and flicking through it "which recipe did you use? This is all bread."

"it's right over~ here we go, page 134." They poked over while cutting another loaf to try for themselves

While Niki looked through the recipe seeming to make mental changes to things that didn't quite work out while Eret tried some of the bread they made

"This…this is awful." They said after a moment, "like- like that's not good."

Niki started laughing. "I- I mean, it isn't that bad? It just needs some additives like sugar-?"

"Niki, this is sand; I've created sand." Eret deadpanned at the loaves on the worktop.

Niki laughed even more. "I could teach you if you'd like? We could make more flavourful and, uhh, less dense sand?"

Eret sighed, starting to laugh with Niki "no wonder Wilber likes it, little shit." They muttered, going back outside again "by the way, yes, I would like that, Niki."

Niki nodded, following them outside after packaging the bread again; she could make it into bread pudding, maybe?

"Wilbur, it is bad. There was no like- sugar or something. It was bad-" Eret said, trying to understand what the heck Wilbur even enjoyed about it.

"Why would you add SUGAR to bread?" (Some say you can hear Niki's heartbreak at this moment) "either way, I thought it was good if you need any help finishing it."

Eret sighed, starting to laugh again. "I'll keep that in mind, Will."

Niki was a great teacher, and Erets bread making skills had greatly improved since she started helping. However, they stopped baking when they became king though they kept the appreciation for baking and respect for Niki's knowledge long after doomsday.
