IT IS DONE
Crochet blanket 2, aka hubris project, is finished. (pattern here)
overall it's about 45cm ish across; I was going to do up to part three but uhhh this is already pretty big for a cat blanket, so. I didn't.
even with simplyfiying the colours (8->4) it was somewhat complicated; the pattern is really well written though so it wasn't too bad. A lot of fun! (and yeah, there's some mistakes, but, again, second project, also, cat blanket, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
I really love the little stained glass window section here; I'll def be using that sort of structure in other projects.
and my wife has fallen in love with this railroad edging, which...I sort of have too, so that's another one for the use later pile!
and of course, most importantly, Darcy is into it.

Momma and the kittens (from left to right - Scattered Thunderstorms - Stormy for short, Hurricane Force Winds - Windy for short, and Partly Cloudy - Cloudy for short) have all been spayed and neutered now and are settling in:
And I made them all new cushions (total of 10 various sized cushions and 6 carrier liners - I’ll get photos of them all at some point) but Meow seems to love hers the most:
