06102022 - The Librarians
give me hope (before i crack beyond repair)
~
Her hands are shaking.
And like, she can't remember the last time her hands actually shook? Especially as hard as they do now?
"He's going to be alright, Cassandra," Eve tries to calm her down, the Guardian's hands gentle on Cassandra's shoulders and through her hair. "It's Ezekiel. He's always gonna pull through, even when it seems impossible."
It seems impossible right now, Cassandra thinks, though the words don't leave her tongue. It's- "He's an idiot." She shudders, and her eyes burn with unshed tears. "He shouldn't have- I was fine, I was handling it, why did he-"
Eve pulls her closer, until Cassandra is able to hide her grief into her shoulder. "I think Ezekiel has always been a bit… protective of you, even if he doesn't like showing it. You're definitely the one he's closest to. So, I'm not really surprised he'd try to save you if he thought the situation warranted it."
And okay, maybe Cassandra had been in a bit of a pickle, outnumbered and overwhelmed and almost at her limits. Yes, alright.
But that didn't mean Ezekiel had to basically make what was tantamount to a sacrifice play just to get her to safety. That didn't mean- "What am I going to do," she whispers her worst fear into the crook of Eve's neck and shoulder, "if he doesn't pull through?" The devastation and guilt would kill her, probably.
Eve squeezes her tightly; tight enough to ache, and tight enough to ground Cassandra, if only just a little. "Don't think like that," she says, both a command and a plea. "He's going to be okay, Cassandra."
"But what if-"
"No. No what ifs. He will be fine." Eve grabs her shoulders and pushes Cassandra just far enough away to meet her gaze. Her eyes are about as red as Cassandra's own feel. But she smiles, small though it is. "And when he wakes up - because it will be a when, not an if - he'll laugh his silly head off at you for thinking otherwise. You know he will."
It's more confidence, more hope, than Cassandra is capable of feeling right now, but even so, she can't help grinning through her tears at the image the Colonel's words paint in her head. "You're right." She breathes. Inhale, hold. Exhale, hold. "You're right. Ezekiel's… He's going to be fine. He will. He’ll be running around and giving us headaches in no time."
And if it takes a while to believe her own words… Well, Cassandra thinks that's only for her to know.

Another Rant
Ranting time again? Absolutely!
* clears throat*
Hello friends reading this. I have recently come across another problem on the internet which needs addressing.
Just because you have a gay ship does not mean “you want everything to be gay”. Speaking as a member of the LGBTQ+ community ( I’m A-sexual and A-romantic for those wondering) not everything has to be gay, and we don’t want it that way, however we would like more representation and, if you have a gay ship, you see oppurtunity in that ship.
Just because you have a straight ship does not mean you’re homophobic. I understand that many straight ships already exist but people who ship a straight ship would ship said ship even if one of the genders in that ship changed, because a ship doesn’t depend on the genders of the people in that ship, it’s the audiences view on the people in the ships personalities and how they would interact.
In conclusion, straight ships don’t make you homophobic and gay ships don’t mean you want everyone to be gay. Thank you and have a good rest of your lives.

I'm watching the Librarians and the Rule of Three! It's the science fair and Morganna episode!!
It's one of my favorite Cassandra episodes, and Jenkins gets some classic lines too.
Something I realized this time was Cassandra going "Goths and Geeks should be friends"
and we found out she had a Goth phase in her youth and I just love. I wonder if she ever tried to go between the two when she was younger and got hurt.
Ezekiel stealing her a trophy is still the sweetest thing

REVISED SHIPATHON 2018 SCHEDULE:
Hey LITs! It’s that time of the year again! Since 2018 is our third year, this time I ran a survey for a few months about everyone’s ships, to help make sure the Shipathon calendar is as unbiased and true to the fandom’s current shipping preferences as possible!
The first time I posted this schedule, I got a lot of new feedback, so I took it down and revised it with the help of @imagination-parade (who also helps me out a lot with this blog and should get a shout out!)
NOTE: Due to the large number of characters and new ships, to be as inclusive as possible I suggested an extra week to celebrate just the rarepairs - and everyone who replied to the survey loved the idea! - The Librarians Shipathon is a fandom-wide celebration of the show, the characters, and especially the relationships between them! This year it will last from JUNE 24TH-SEPTEMBER 30TH.

ATTENTION LITS!!!!!!!!!
It’s just been announced by TNT that the first six episodes of The Librarians season four will all be double episode nights! This means that for the first three weeks, we will have TWO EPISODES OF THE LIBRARIANS EVERY WEDNESDAY NIGHT, BACK TO BACK.
This means a few things for us as a fandom. While it may seem cool that we’re getting so much content so fast and we don’t have to wait, those are obviously NOT the reasons they changed the schedule so last minute. The premiere is literally TWO DAYS AWAY! And not only do so many people not know that the show is now on Wednesday nights, with a LAST MINUTE HUGE CHANGE like this, it’s terrifingly likely that hundreds of people will tune in for one episode, and then won’t realize there’s another episode after.
This doesn’t just mean those people are gonna miss out and be confused. This means that for the entire first half of the season, the ratings could suffer IMMENSELY! An entire fourth of the season could be ignored by almost the entire fandom during airing, which puts us at risk of not being renewed!
So, as per Dean Devlin’s literal cry for our help above, we as a fandom need to step up together and SPREAD THE WORD! TELL EVERYONE! SPAM EVERYONE! WE HAVE TWO DAYS! IF YOU WANT TO HELP ENSURE WE GET RENEWED FOR SEASON FIVE, IT’S EXTREMELY IMPORTANT WE MAKE OURSELVES AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE FOR THESE FIRST THREE WEEKS ESP SO NOBODY MISSES OUT, AND TNT KNOWS WE’RE HERE!

02042022 - The Librarians
~
Cassandra Cillian has a tiny, little (huge, enormous) secret, and Ezekiel Jones knows about it.
It’s… Look, he wasn’t snooping or anything (not this time), alright? He was just coming to Cassandra’s study to ask for her help with one of the Artefact Rooms, when he’d stepped up to the open door just in time to see a small, blue ball of light materialise in Cass’ open palm.
And well, after everything they’ve been through these past few months, nothing really surprises Ezekiel anymore. It’s just that… Honestly, he thinks it’s more the look on Cassandra’s face that has Ezekiel so… spellbound, for lack of a better word.
There’s something soft in her eyes, and proud, where they glow with the light of the floating orb, and her smile looks hopeful like he hasn’t seen on her even when she was promised a cure for her brain grape. There’s something like peaceful contentment sitting across her shoulders.
Ezekiel steps back a few quiet paces. If Cassandra hasn’t said anything about retaining some magic after the whole debacle with the fairy tales coming to life, he’s not going to be the one to mention it to the others. Or her, for that matter.
He’s curious, yes.
But she’ll tell them when she’s ready.
“Hey, Cassandra!” he yells, and stomps his way back towards her open door. When he catches sight of her, the ball of light is gone, and Cassandra is looking at him with a question in her wide eyes.
“Ezekiel,” she says, with a tilt of her head. “What is it?”
(The smile is still there, though, hiding at the corner of her lips.)

Ok, but I did my best to keep this list short and I failed miserably would like you to appreciate my attempt.
(Also, I’m 40 minutes late because Tumblr wasn’t working)
1x03 and the Horns of a Dilemma: the first true Casekiel moment will be forever in my heart
1x05 and the Apple of Discord: you knew I was going to put this ep here as well! Because, come on! When he hides - under the table and kinda behind Jenkins? #relatable - and when he looks at that tall woman (can’t remember if they were all dragons or not) and when he exclaims “Oh, come on! This is just a bunch of consonants!” and Jenkins drags him away I laughed so much!
1x09 and the City of Lights: “Is she ok?” “Yeah, she’s mad at me, she’s fine” #lol
2x01 and the Drowned Book: because I just love when Mom!Eve grabs him
2x05 and the Hollow Men: Admit it, y’all laughed at his “Got it! - Dropped it!”
2x06 and the Infernal Contract: because his love-hate relationship with Jenkins needs to be here too and I like him batting his eyelashes, sue me
2x07 and the Image of Image: more pure Casekiel
4x03 and the Christmas Thief: because he’s so sweet! Also, I couldn’t find the gif of the jumping of the lasers, but, you know, that was hot and it never hurts
3x01 and the Rise of Chaos: he really wants to go visit that submarine
3x02 and the Fangs of Death: because we see a very intense moment between Ezekiel and his True Love: pizza. #Ezekizza
