Synopsis: Growing up and living life as a pogue had its ups and downs. Mostly downs. Y/n studied diligently, a trait ingrained at a young age by her single mother. With her sharp intellect, Y/n was recognised as the top in all her classes, whilst attending a few subjects above her year level. To relieve some financial burden, Y/n tutored fellow students, some in her public school and if she was lucky, some students from Kildare Academy. She favoured tutoring opportunities from these families as they offered higher rates. She was proposed an offer by a teacher to tutor Rafe Cameron, only the scariest and richest Kook on the island. Actually second, as his dad took first place. Teaching was the easy part, interacting with Rafe? Now that was a different story.
Fenton gasped as the Gizmoduck armor fell away from him, and he collapsed to the ground in a heap. Gyro immediately rushed to him, falling on his knees.
"What was it this time?"
"I'm sorry-" Fenton said through gasping breaths. Tears were running down his face. "I-I can't do it yet- I'm so sorry-"
"Hey hey hey hey hey," Gyro pulled him into a tight hug. As frustrated as he was at Fenton's lack of progress, he wasn't going to express that. He knew Fenton was frustrated as well, which only made things worse. "It's okay."
"But what if it's not?" Fenton asked, looking up at him with wide eyes. "What if I can never put it on again?"
Gyro smiled sadly, not sure what to say.
Three months ago there'd been a Gizmoduck accident where an entire building had collapsed on top of him. The armor was strong, but not enough to hold up the weight of a ten-story hotel, and Fenton had been crushed underneath in an ever-shrinking small space for hours while they dug him out.
Fenton hadn't been able to put the suit on since, the claustrophobia and the memories had been too much. He was slowly getting better, but he'd lasted only thirty seconds this time.
At this rate it'd take them ten years for Fenton to last as long as a regular patrol.
But it wasn't from the lack of trying, far from it. Fenton tried the armor on every day, even when it left him shaking and on the verge of tears. It took all of Gyro's insistence for Fenton not to try it on more than one time a day.
"We can take as long as you need," Gyro said, hugging him again. "Even if it is ten years."
"I-I love being Gizmoduck, I-I hate being out of the job for this long-" Fenton sobbed against Gyro's chest. "But I can't do it-"
"We can get there eventually, right?" Gyro asked him, holding him tight. "I mean look how long you lasted this time! Compared to when you tried it on three months ago!"
Fenton wiped his eyes with his hand, wedging it between Gyro and himself so he didn't have to move his head. "I guess..."
Gyro kissed the top of his head. "You're strong. I bet if you try, you can make it there."
"I have been trying," Fenton whined. "And I haven't made it."
"I know," Gyro said quietly. "But you've put up with me for this long, which means you're incredibly resilient. I know you can get through this too."
Fenton looked up at him, his eyes meeting Gyro's for a moment, before dissolving into a fit of giggles. He leaned his face into Gyro's chest again. "Gracias, mi amor."
Gyro rested his head on top of Fenton's. "Anytime."

If the Mustang pioneered the pony car segment, then the GTO pioneered the muscle car world. When John DeLorean set out his plans to create the Pontiac GTO, he had to cut through a lot of red tape. The top brass at GM didn’t see the logic in creating a car that was like the GTO. So DeLorean made the GTO a trim package on an existing car and the rest is history (via Hagerty).
The GTO redefined what a muscle car should look and drive like and buyers clamored for these vehicles. The styling of the GTO completely changed what car fans expected in a muscle car and that was a great revolution. With the GTO came a plethora of other muscle cars including the Chevelle and the Cutlass. The muscle carera is widely considered one of the best times for domestic carmakers and the GTO was responsible for that.
