This morning I was looking for a photo that could portrait my mood. Here it is. A lovely cluttered, super busy place where it’s difficult to focus on anything specific. In a nice way, of course, as nice was this tiny shop in Bath market. I absolutely loved it in all it’s eccentricity and variety. The problem is that this is fine for a shop, but less ok for my flow of thoughts that at the moments are moving in whirlwinds and circling around, rushing away and coming back, totally impossible to be grabbed at any point. I have the tendency of taking over too much and to respond to difficult and stagnant situation with an excess of activity, thinking that if I do something, I will unblock the situation, always trusting that anything really, is better that doing nothing. But I know now that is is not the truth and simply leads to energy dispersion and lack of focus, it also supports very well extreme stress, one feeding the other. Since I am starting to think about what I would like my 2018 to look like, I am very clear on streamlining my personal and business life, shedding all isn’t necessary and doesn’t contribute importantly to the bigger picture, do less and do better, be more focused on fewer objectives, declutter my life and live by the principle that less is more. I know it will be hard and it will require a lot of efforts, dedication and courage but I have to do it. Is anyone having a similar plan for 2018? Anyone who would like to have an accountability partner? It will be easier if we can make it together.
