local man completely obliterated by strength of narrative and character writing in 2023 game of the year
#mine#last night after putting it off for essentially as long as i possibly could because i knew it would decimate me#i finally attacked c4z4dor and (of course) kept ast4r10n as a spawn and basically finished up his quest#FUUUUCK ME DUDE....i knew what was coming in advance but that did not make it any less impactful#i mean holy shit the writing on this guy......the fucking graveyard scene (DO NOT GET ME STARTED)...#and of course neil's performance ohhh my god he deserves every award he can possibly have#god i love asta so much i'm literally never going to be the same this game is soooo insane#the only things i have left are the house of hope and then disabling the foundry and killing gort and doing the final fight stuff#i am ... nervous lol#ive heard the raphael fight is HAAAAAAAAARD#i'll find a way...#i think in the future i may reorder my act 3 quests i think it would be interesting to tackle some (ex companion quests or raphael)#sooner in the story#shadowhearts quest was like...3rd or 4th last thing i did cause i think i did that and then ansur and then astarion#i'm actually SO excited to replay the game i think im gonna have the time of my life doing roleplay and making diff choices#plus i know i missed a TON of stuff in this run so its gonna be fun to see what else is out there#after this im planning to do my first durge run which is REALLY exciting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#i may do another regular tav run simultaneously but not totally sure....#anyway yeah... awesome game everyone should buy it and play it its on sale right now go buy it and play it

the fact that mike doubles down on d&d (an interest he initially dove into as an escape from not having a gf) without el or will there beside him, devoted member of the high school d&d club—he actually gets to be a paladin instead of being the dm, which I’m sure will play a lot into his role in the season—the way we know he and el are not exactly happy together but neither know how to not be together because the alternative is too scary, too frightening, too real. mimicking the way mike’s parents’ relationship seems to be during s3. the fact finn tells us mike is reassessing not just himself but his relationships when we know his closest ones are will and el. when we know his character arc is primarily focused on how he bonds and the struggles he has with accepting those bonds, expressing himself within them, and growing into himself while said relationships morph with him and god…god this is it huh.

Ive set up a scavenger hunt for myself in minecraft with the end goal of getting back to the part of the map ive spent a lot of time building in in creative
Ive hidden the most overpowered tools, weapons, and armor in random places and I only have the coordinants for 3 of the places ive hidden things because I didnt think til towards the end that I probably should have those just in case I'm having trouble...and a hint for one thats near one of the other places
And I am very very far away from where I started
This may have been a mistake.

The only reason I got through work today was because I had two free periods (including one right after lunch, so I had an extended lunch) and I used one (my extended lunch) to write/continue my current WIP on my phone. And now that I'm home, I'm thinking of getting in bed and continuing to write while I watch a Big Country concert on Youtube that I discovered has a setlist I'm super interested in seeing (considering that it's from 1994, and while I consider it progress that I watched and listened to Without the Aid of a Safety Net, I'm simply not that interested in anything the band did live post-WtAoaSN unless it involved a cover of a woman's song, or a woman, such as Carol Laula).

#idk who elise to tell so i’ll talk about it here#a month ago i started taking birth control. at first I felt relief from something i had been dealing with my whole life.#it’s hard to describe exactly what it is because i can only describe its absence this last month.#almost my whole life I have been intensely paranoid about myself and other people. i existed outside of reality and everyone else was#far from me. I was paranoid that people would come and take me away. i was paranoid that my father would kill me. so many every day worries.#I ended up hating myself. i ended up distancing myself. so much of my life has happened out of my mind paranoid.#and i never realized it. it’s been a burden i have been carrying around this whole time. i didn’t know i didn’t have to carry it anymore.#I don’t know yet why the birth control helps. I don’t know what is wrong with me. but i can say I may rely on these pills for the rest of my#life. so now i am dealing with the reality of finally living and wishing it happened sooner and knowing i am reliant on medication.#it’s a lot to deal with and i don’t even know where to look for support for such a specific issue.#I am so happy to finally be able to live my life as myself and not a ball of paranoia.#post
