trying not to believe they turnt the Internet off before they left for work. 😒
#Absolutely something my dad's wife would demand.#Keep in mind this is the same woman who took away my laptop in highschool after I missed one work assignment.#Whatever. I am using 4G.#I noticed it was off before they left and then I woke up to see I had a text from my dad telling me the Internet is off at 6 am.#Y'all I could literally just use my phone (as I am now) or play the sims 2 all day or read or#Like. It's not the Internet that kept me from going to work#Or kept me awake for to long that made me ''tired'' (I even got the correct amount of sleep)#My mental health is just shit.#And yes I already planned on going to work today.#So it's not like I was going to stay home to begin with?#When I call out it is for a day.#And yeah. Chris had offhandedly mentioned the idea while they were cuddled on the couch a couple days ago. “Hey babe, how cold say, relative to you, do you think I am?” Ryan looked at him amused and snuggled closer, “While I wouldn’t say you are very cold right now, I would say I know a particular someone who hogs the blanket at night and it isn’t me.”
Ryan’s smug voice trailed off into something more affectionate as Chris laid his head on Ryan’s shoulder. “So you would say I’m colder at night.” “Only if you tell me why you are asking.” Chris goes silent for a second, choosing his words carefully, “Mikey told me about something Edgar does for him, to help with the nightmares. Was just wondering if it would help you.”

R has a fever. He woke up every hour last night, was clingy and fussy all day, didn't nap great, and is now wailing instead of going to sleep.
You have days like this when you have a baby, but normally there is someone there to help. All I've done is try to take care of my baby and yell at my older son for being annoying. GREAT parenting.
Obviously I'm tapped. I'm tired. I feel defeated. It takes everything I have to just take care of my children. I spend all day preparing to feed them, feeding them, cleaning up after them, and then preparing to feed them again. There is no time to do anything else! I got into the bay for 20 blissful minutes this afternoon. When I got out my baby was wailing, and my older child had not come to get me like I asked him to.
Ugh, this is the part of parenting that is so tedious and maddening. Thank GOD I usually have daycare. Even my PhD work is starting to seem interesting again.
My parents and aunt come to visit tomorrow, and then after that B and G are coming for a few days. Then I throw my kids into the car, drive to my parents' house in Alabama, and fly solo to Vegas to visit Dominic for a weekend. I cannot WAIT. A few days ago, I realized we have only ever had one other solo trip together, nine years ago when we went on a cruise.
After Vegas I stay in Alabama for a week and a half, and then Dominic flies back to Pensacola, I drive back, and then pretty sure we immediately drive back to Omaha. What a summer. I am EXHAUSTED. I have done NONE of the work I'm supposed to do. All I can do at night is stare catatonically at the water until it gets dark and then watch TV.

second day in a row now where my computer's tint has shifted to orange at 10pm on the dot. this sure would be normal if it was night light. night light hasn't worked on my computer for over a year (among other things about my computer that don't work). this morning it didn't turn off unless i restarted my computer. i think it's haunted
#ylimespam#for those who care here's the other wonky things that have been ongoing issues with my beloved laptop#neither of the alt keys work#the internal speakers don't work. i think the audio driver for them thanos snapped itself#every so often the wifi driver temporarily thanos snaps itself. it usually comes back within 5 minutes#but sometimes i have to restart my computer to remind it that yes you Do have a wifi driver. silly#camera driver also explodes itself frequently#which is fine because i almost never use the fuckin webcam anyways + it's covered with blue tape#mostly just means i have to do All Zoom Meetings on phone. which is preferrable#because the stupid camer was put BELOW the screen. the designers of this laptop were maniacs#i think those are all the main ones. other than p much every time my computer's bluescreened in my recent memory#it's Alwyas been the same error. driver power failur or whatever#idk man. haunted laptop 👻 every time school went on break i told myself i'd do a hard reinstall of the OS. and then i didn't#and then i can't do it DURING school for obvious reasons#and at thiss point im gonna graduate next month so like. why bother. POWER THROUGH IT
