Whoohoo!!!! Had my book release party last night (which was me drinking non-alcoholic beverages and watching youtube)...lol. My book was released this morning on Amazon...unfortunately, I do not get to see who buys books (printing and distro is not my job). I am aware that I have already sold five copies (because I bought them). The book is over 200 pages of my notes, from a voice of authority, and about 12 hikes (maps, coordinates, etc.). My son, Silas White, was a great help and is credited as an author. The book will serve as a template for my next book, 'Hiking Maine's Highest Peaks', to be released sometime next year. At the very least, please help by checking it out on Amazon...the algorithm will promote the book based on clicks/views.

My nocturne for and of the @camdenpubliclibrary annual fundraising auction. A terrific event with many great painters . The community comes out every year and buys all the paintings. I usually start nocturnepaintings at night and then finish them up the next day in the daylight when I can see everything😜! @williamfrancisbrown Alex Grabovetskiy‘s first day of classical Carving class at the Maine Coast Workshop. Sorry his head got cut off when I download it the clips. What a gifted and entertaining speaker! Alex started carving in Russia at age 6 and has distilled a lifetime of wisdom into his presentations. Incredible stuff. In the morning Alex gave a design lecture. Some pretty deep stuff explaining the logic of design and how the golden ratio and Fibonacci sequence are the keys to creating beautiful designs. It is all an understanding of God‘s order of creation and how we can cooperate with, understand it, and create designs that will last or fight it and create tension and ugly design that will only be ephemeral. The afternoon we covered his sharpening method. He demonstrates tools so sharp but he can carve with one hand tied behind his back!
