I wish we got to meet Cam's family and knew more about it and saw how they felt and reacted to his death. I know they have only a small tike to fit everything but it'd be nice if we got something more. I still wish they had Cam put a note in hoot for Maya as a goodbye letter too.

Cam was SO disappointed in Maya, when she told him that she kissed Zig but he felt like he couldn't really be mad at her, seeing how he behaved before.
good thing, his best friend was next to him and went off on Maya for him.
"Cam may could have behaved differently, that is right, but you! You kissed someone else! That is cheating plus it was your best friends boyfriend?! Who does that?! Cam has every fucking right to be disappointed!" Said boy was flabbergasted at the outbreak of his best friend. Not only him but all present people. He let himself get dragged away from the Scene, Maya calling out to him but Cam didn't hear it.
It took a long and intense talk and many snacks with Cam to assure him it is okay to feel how he does right now
He wanted to reconcile with Maya at first but the conversation with you made him reconsider, thinking that maybe it was better to not go back.
Maya tried to win him back for a few weeks with Zig trying to get her all the while Tori was furious wit both of them
In the meantime, you and Cam got even closer then before as in, the shy boy actually got every ounce of bravery together to ask you out! Of course you said yes, duh!
Cam waspacing the hallway up and down, mumbling something under his breath while Tori watched him doing so.
"Just...do it! I bet you won't get rejected!" His steps came to a stop and he looked at Tori with an incredulous look. The boy was nervous, more nervous than he was before any Hockey game.
"But...what if I do get rejected? I would destroy or friendship! Maybe we won't ever talk again and"
"Aaallright. Stop! This won't happen. I am absolutely sure about that!"
"You are sure about what?" Cam spinned around so fast he almost tripped over his own feat when you popped up behind them both.
"Nothing!" Tori rolled her eyes befor giving Cam a soft nudge with an encouragin smile before she said goodbye and left. You thought it was weird how she just left.
"I am sorry, did I interrupted-"
"Wilyougooutwithme?!" You blinked slowly, once, twice. Trying to process what Cam asked you before your cheeks started to get warmer. The hockeyplayer was almost sure you would reject him efore you smiled brightly at him.
"Of course!" A weight was lifted from Cams heart and the boy smiled as brightly as you.
Cam started to open up to you and you realised the boy has problems that should be taken serious
So you started to actively help Cam an you started by getting him out of this damn Hockey Team that was everthing that good for him
"I can't! They need me and you know that! I am the best player on the team!" A sigh left your lips at how stubborn Cam was. He was indeed right but you can see how bad it was for him.
"I know and you are! But Cam, these people aren't good for you! Look at how they are! You aren't like that! You are so much better than these Jerks!" Cam opens his mouth as if wanting to say something but nothing came out. He was defeated, easily by you. He coulder never go against you even less when you take his hand in yours and look at him with those lovely eyes of yours. Oh shoot! He is starring again!
It was hard, at the beginning to not be the perfect Cam anymore. To no be a member of the Hockey Players and all but you could easily see how much better off Cam was.
Cam was still a bit awkward but he cheered up so much without the his Teammates pressuring him and all that.
His mental health was, of course, not magically cured and the problems are still there but it was hard for Cam to come to terms that he was, in fact, not healthy.
You had many conversations with him about his mental health. You are no doctor so you can't say for sure what is wrong but you know there was something.
Cam didn't liked to talk about it and at first he sometimes blocked conversation fully.
But you still stayed at his side and encouraged him to try out therapy.
Cam was so scared. He was glad when you offered to accompany him.
You not only brought him there, he wanted you to sit with in. Seeing that you are his biggest support he really needed you there.
He hold your hand so tightly, he apologized afterwards for it.
Cam is so gratefull for you, in everyway.
You helped him get out of the Hockey team, supporte him from start to now with his journey on getting better with his mental health, you have so much patience and what not. He could talk about you from dawn to dusk. In short, he loves you much more than anyone else.

I think about the Saunders family so often. Campbell was 1 of 5 kids. Having to break the news of his death to his younger brothers and sister would be horrible. His mom already seemed a little regretful of sending him hundreds of miles away in their FaceTime call. So she might feel guilty about it. She also said she couldn’t go out in public without getting stopped and asked about him and his hockey career. She probably got asked about him a few times from people who hadn’t heard the news. I just can’t even imagine getting a call from a school so far away letting me know my child had felt so depressed and hopeless that he killed himself. And then having to be there for my other 4 kids that are going to be grieving… I’m kinda glad we didn’t get to know Cam’s family much because seeing them grieve would be so heartbreaking.

Apparently, I'm on a Degrassi kick.
Spoilers for TNG S12E31
Here's why I don't think Zig is entirely to blame for Cam's suicide.
Campbell Saunders was doomed from the start. His suicide was planned from his very conception. And you can tell; it's visible in most of his scenes. He's self-destructive, prone to mood swings, and clearly lonely even within friend groups. But that's obvious to us because we have everything. We see everything Cam is going through, all the emotions he masks from other characters. To the audience, there is something wrong with this boy. Whatever it is is obvious, it's serious, and all we can do is hope that the people around him notice. But the other characters don't have the full picture. They might catch a mood swing or a bout of crying, but they don't see everything. So they don't notice his struggle until it's too late. Until everything builds up and Cam is pushed over the edge.
And Zig is the final push. The thing is, if it wasn't Zig, it would've been something or someone else. It would've been Maya, his teammates, or a bad grade. Because when you're depressed everything seems bigger and worse and heavier. Your brain works against you. So when Zig says "get out of Maya's life" Cam hears that he should die.
But Zig isn't a bully. He's an asshole with a mountain of issues, sure, but so is Cam. Zig and Cam are in a rivalry brought on by mutual jealousy and dislike. That's why Cam hits Zig. That's why Cam goads Zig in their final argument. It's why he makes the decision to brag about Maya. And it's why Zig snaps back. Zig and Cam are constantly insulting each other. Zig's final words to Cam aren't remotely out of place in their relationship. In fact, if it had been earlier in the season when Cam was less depressed, he might have bounced back from it.
But it's not earlier in the season and Cam isn't less depressed. So Zig says something too harsh, and Cam's depression inflates it in his mind. And then Cam kills himself. And Zig feels guilty.
Zig isn't a monster because of this. He's a kid who makes mistakes. It's just that this mistake was too big and too poorly timed to fix. Cam's story is about bullying in relation to the Ice Hounds, not Zig. Their relationship is a cautionary tale about anger and rivalry. About not letting fights spiral into something catastrophic.
In the end, Cam gets the sharp end of the sword. But neither he nor Zig are monsters. They were just struggling idiots whose issues clashed horribly. And Cam's story doesn't have a real villain. The major players are all just kids who don't quite understand the weight of their actions or words.
