karen fukuhara, cis woman, she/her – there goes jaelyn toyoshima checking into the golden motel. the twenty-six year old is an environmental scientist from seattle. i think they are courageous but i heard that they can also be flighty. hope they enjoy their stay!
you come into the world as a set. one of two. and your twin brother is as much a part of you as your pinky finger. you cannot imagine life without him, even as you grow up and start your own lives he is a central part to your story. not a set piece but an equally billed cast member.
kaleb is older by mere minutes, but he seemed to get all the maturity. he keeps you grounded, even when you don't think you need it. your parents tried their best but they both worked and the two of you kept yourselves occupied enough that they barely needed to check on you.
your first real deviation from what you parents wanted for you was picking a major, both dentists, they wanted you to follow their career path and were sorely disappointed when you decided to do something you were passionate about. it didn't help that your level-headed, responsible brother did even worse, pursuing a theatre degree.
now, after graduating and landing your first real job, you're excited to be sent out to do the kind of work that lights you up, that makes you feel like you have a purpose. your trip to new orleans is supposed to last 3 months, doing work in the swamps of louisiana. it's a new adventure, the first you've ever had to make on your own.
